Abstract

Nitrogen ion implantation at 50 keV of energy on the surface of SS 316 stainless steel, by calculation will only be able to reach a depth of 561 Å and the ions will be distributed Gaussian effectively at a depth of 561 Å ± 339 Å, so that from the surface to a depth of 222 Å is not filled by ions (empty) which of course will affect the properties of the implanted surface. The solution to the problem is to implant the target several times at <50 keV of energy. To minimize the un-filled volume, the study of simulation and calculation has been conducted. In this study a simulation using TRIM program to know how many times the target should be implanted at different energies and also the calculation of the amount of nitrogen ions that should be implanted, so that the distribution of nitrogen ions can be evenly distributed from the surface to 561 Å. From the results of simulations and calculations the results show that the target must be implanted at least 6 times implantation at energy 50 keV,40 keV, 30 keV, 20 keV and 10 keV. Under these conditions the dose that must be implanted are 7,4×1017ion/cm2, 6,44×1017ion/cm2, 4,6×1017 ion/cm2, 3×1017 ion/cm2 and 1,6×1017 ion/cm2. The total doses and amount of nitrogen filling the implanted volume are 7,32%..

Abstract

Abstrak. Perilaku agresi adalah perilaku yang banyak terjadi di kalangan masyarakat, terkhusus di KPAJ Adyaksa. Perilaku agresi anak jalanan memberi dampak yang buruk bagi masyarakat yang dapat mendorong tingginya tingkat kriminalitas seperti premanisme, begal dan copet. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk menurunkan tingkat agresi anak jalanan khususnya di kota Makassar. Pihak mitra mendampingi anak-anak jalanan yang berjumlah 50 anak dengan kisaran umur 5 sampai 15 tahun. 50 anak yang terdaftar ini bisa saja bertambah ataupun berkurang dikarenakan ada anak yang tidak datang untuk mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan Program Pengabdian ini dilaksanaan dalam empat tahap yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap evaluasi dan follow- up. Tim Menyusun outline/ kerangka pada bahan buku curhat diantaranya 1) Mengenali Emosi; (2) Mengenali Agresi; (3) Menajemen agresi; dan (4) Token Economy sebanyak  3 kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil grafik observasi diatas tim pengabdian menyimpulkan bahwa agresi anak jalanan menurun dari kategori tinggi ke kategori rendah. Melalui penerapan media buku curhat dengan metode self counseling membuat anak jalanan untuk dapat merefleksikan secara langsung perasaan, pengalaman dan menuliskan berbagai perasaan yang membantunya dalam memahami perasaan orang lain maupun dirinya sendiri. Kata Kunci: Perilaku agresi, Anak Jalanan, Buku curhat, Self-Counseling

Abstract

Professional teachers are teachers who have pedagogical, personality, professional and social competencies. One of the pedagogical abilities that teachers must have is being able to utilize technology for learning implementation. In today's digital era, teachers must be able to become technology literate teachers, in order to create a more interesting and interactive learning atmosphere. This must also be owned by teachers in the Al Ikhlas PPM education unit which will then become partners. Based on the purpose of implementing this activity is to increase partner knowledge in using technology in learning. In addition, it will also improve partner skills in using Quizizz as an interactive learning media. The method used is through training, mentoring and mentoring which is integrated in workshop activities. This method was chosen to provide opportunities for teachers to participate directly in applying and creating interactive media. The stages in this activity are material delivery, training and mentoring. The results of the activity show that teachers have been able to use Quizizz in making simple interactive media. This is indicated by the training participants already having accounts and material topics created in each Quizizz account. In addition, the participants also knew how to conduct learning evaluation activities through giving interactive quizzes to students using QR. Based on the aspects of knowledge and skills of trainees related to the use of Quizizz before the training activities were carried out, the average was 47.67% only. Then after the training activities took place and were re-evaluated through the administration of the posttest, an increase in the aspects of knowledge and skills in using Quizizz was an average of 77.76%. Participants have been able to create interactive learning media based on Quizizz. In addition, this activity is very helpful for teachers in supporting their competence.

Abstract

Smart technology has provided many benefits for all human activities, including hydroponic farming systems. The consistent challenge in the process of cultivating plants using hydroponic systems is the monitoring of partner farmers in managing plant nutrition. Smart technology, utilizing microcontrollers and multisensors, can enhance hydroponic management, particularly concerning the control of nutrient availability, including saturation, water pH, and water availability in the hydroponic system. The purpose of this activity is to address partner-related issues regarding their lack of knowledge and skills in managing businesses aided by smart technology such as microcontrollers and multisensors and to improve the economic viability of partner businesses by producing nutritious and high-quality vegetables. The method used in this community engagement activity involves initial observation at the partner's business location, theoretical instruction to enhance partner knowledge, and finally, training in the creation and operation of smart technology involving microcontrollers and multisensors in the partner's hydroponic area. Questionnaires were distributed to assess the initial conditions before the training and to measure the success of the training after its completion. The initial observation showed a lack of knowledge about smart technology using microcontrollers and multisensors. Based on this, theoretical training was conducted to improve partner knowledge about smart technology using microcontrollers and multisensors. The theoretical content included 1) technology and innovation in hydroponic plant nutrition, 2) an introduction to microcontrollers and sensors in agriculture/horticulture technology, and 3) a demonstration of monitoring physical parameters and nutrient content of hydroponic plants using the Wokwi simulator. Subsequently, a simulation of microcontroller and multisensory device use was carried out, resulting in an enhancement of partner skills in using microcontrollers and multisensors. The improvement in partner knowledge and skills after participating in this training is evident from the questionnaire results, and partner satisfaction with the conducted training is also evident. The conclusion of this community engagement activity is that partners have gained knowledge and skills after participating in the training on the application of smart technology for microcontroller-based irrigation of hydroponic plants with multisensor systems in hydroponic plant cultivation.

Abstract

The level of salinity in water quality is one of the determining factors in the success of seaweed aquaculture production. The purpose of this study was to develop a website-based monitoring system for the level of water salinity in seaweed ponds. Monitoring system development is carried out by designing and developing an integrated website. Measurement of water salinity in ponds uses a sensor with a microcontroller connected via the internet network so that monitoring can be carried out without the need to go to the pond location. This type of research is development (Research and Development) which refers to the waterfall model (Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Maintenance). The results of the research show that website development as a monitoring system has been successfully developed. There are four pages that can be displayed on the website for monitoring seaweed pond water salinity, namely the login page, homepage, viewing data, and monitoring water salinity. This research is expected to provide an overview in monitoring water quality in increasing the productivity of seaweed cultivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Empowerment Program (PKM) activity is to apply microcontroller-based smart dryer embedded system technology that can help speed up the drying time of seaweed in the Karya Bersama cultivation group. In addition, it also provides new knowledge and skills in terms of post-harvest seaweed management by making processed flour products from cottonii chips. The method of activity implementation consists of observation, post-harvest seaweed management counseling activities, training in making smart dryers, and training in making Cottonii Chips. The results achieved in this PKM activity are (1) the existence of a seaweed smart dryer embedded system; (2) increased knowledge and skills of partners in conducting post-harvest seaweed management. Partners have been able to use the seaweed smart dryer embedded system well and partners have been able to make Cottonii Chips flour.

Abstract

The moisture content of seaweed during the drying process is one of the factors determining the quality of seaweed. Therefore, measuring the percentage of water content in seaweed during the drying process is very important to note. A multilayer capacitive sensor for water content detection application in seaweed drying process using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm has been successfully built and characterized. The sensor is made from a Cu PCB substrate in the form of a potential ladder pattern with dimensions of 5 x 5 cm. The PCB substrate is then coated with several layers of NiFe and Cu forming layers using electro deposition technique. The research method consists of making the sensor, calibrating the sensor using the gravimetric method, and performing two measurement schemes, namely measuring changes in the ADC value of the sensor as a representation of the seaweed moisture content value and measuring changes in the frequency value of the sensor as a representation of the moisture content value using FFT algorithm. The results showed that the sensor characteristics in the form of sensor slope of 18.866 ADC value / (%) water content with an intercept of 68.248 ADC value. So that the sensor will experience a decrease in ADC value changes by 18.866 every 1% increase or decrease in water content. For the coefficient of determination R2 of 0.91618 which indicates that the sensor has approached the reading of the water content value with good precision. Based on the measurement results of the seaweed water content value also shows that by using FFT algorithm, the reading of the seaweed water content value can be represented by the frequency value of the sensor well. This research contributes to the development of innovative sensor technology in measuring moisture content during the seaweed drying process.

Abstract

Has been design of a length expansion test instrument for metal material based on electric heaters and dial gauge with iron rods metal as the test material. The purpose of this research is to design a metal material length expansion instrument and analyze the feasibility of the instrument. The main components of this expansion test tool use an electric heater and a dial gauge. The function of the electric heater is as a heater on the test specimen, while the dial indicator is used as a measuring device which is an indicator of the long expansion phenomenon. After testing the iron metal, it showed that this instrument worked well in observing the long expansion phenomenon qualitatively. However, the quantitative results show differences, where the coefficient is measured (0.000045/℃) and reference (0.000012/℃).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the e-learning-assisted Brain Based Learning model on students' learning interest. Information obtained by the teacher regarding students' learning interests and the learning model applied in this study and the results, helps teachers to carry out learning interventions that suit the needs of students. This is the teacher's effort to guide students, in this case tutoring to be able to develop their potential optimally. In addition, it can encourage students to understand themselves and their learning environment, so that they are helped to optimize the learning outcomes achieved. The research design used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The purposive sampling technique was used to determine which research subjects were included, as many as 65 people, consisting of 31 students in the experimental group and 34 students in the control group. The instruments used were a questionnaire of interest in learning and an observation sheet of the implementation of the learning model. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, namely through the t-test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Based on these results, it shows that there is a significant effect of the use of e-learning assisted brain-based learning models on student's physical learning interests.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate and analyze the ripple voltage in half wave and full wave rectifier circuits with a focus on the use of a combination of capacitor and resistor filters. This research is experimental research using Circuit Wizard. The tools and materials used include CT transformers, diodes, resistors, capacitors, multimeters, alternating power sources, and oscilloscopes. The research process begins by designing and implementing a circuit in the Circuit Wizard simulator according to the concept of half wave and full wave rectification with capacitor and resistor filters. The research results show that to produce a small ripple voltage, use large capacitance and resistance values. The best ripple voltage value produced is 0.6 V when using a 150 mF capacitor or 1000 Ohm resistor.
