Abstract

This study is motivated by the gap between the ideal concept of good governance and the practice of managing school infrastructure, which remains limited in terms of participation, transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of its implementation at the secondary school level. This research aims to analyze the application of good governance principles in the management of school infrastructure to improve educational quality. The methodology used is a qualitative case study design at Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Terusan Nyunyai, employing interview, observation, and documentation techniques, along with data analysis that includes condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that infrastructure management has been carried out in a participatory manner by involving all stakeholders in planning and evaluation, is transparent through the disclosure of budget information and the use of digital technologies such as ARKAS, and is accountable through a systematic, well-documented reporting system. In addition, school independence is reflected in its ability to make decisions based on internal needs without external intervention, and in accountability conducted in accordance with applicable regulations. The implementation of these principles has been proven to improve the effectiveness of facilities and infrastructure management and to support the continuous improvement of educational service quality. Thus, the application of good governance in school infrastructure management effectively increases efficiency, transparency, and educational quality. This study is significant as a practical model of good governance-based infrastructure management that can serve as a reference for other schools in improving educational quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the strengthening of Islamic exclusivism in Indonesia which is not only derived from theological differences, but also from power relations in postcolonial societies. Certain groups are often positioned as subalterns, namely those who are marginalized in the dominant discourse. This study aims to analyze the construction of Islamic exclusivism through hegemonic relations and the position of the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII) and the Tarbiyah network of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) in religious and political discourse. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five informants, literature studies, and analysis of post-reform religious-political discourse. The analysis was conducted from a postcolonial perspective and using subaltern concepts to identify patterns of dominance and resistance. The results of the study show that Islamic exclusivism is a construction of hegemonic power relations. LDII is marginalized through the stigma of being a deviant group, while PKS, although electorally strong, still experiences marginalization in the socio-cultural realm due to the label of political Islam. Both negotiated identities to gain legitimacy. These findings provide a new understanding that the phenomenon of exclusivism is not only rooted in theological issues, but is also a result of social and political constructions that place certain groups in a subaltern position.

Abstract

Purpose This study aimed to reconstruct the silencing of narratives about Lampung's female heroes in historiography shaped by the coloniality of knowledge and patriarchy. Method This study used a qualitative approach with a literature study and critical historiography to analyze colonial archives, official Lampung history, writings about female figures, and literature on oral traditions containing collective memories about them. It employed decolonial feminist critique to examine the relationship between gender, memory politics, and local knowledge. Result/findings This study showed that Lampung's historiography produces narratives of masculine heroic figures. This was showed by a historiography that centered on male figures as heroes, while the contributions of women such as Poeti Alam Naisjah Moeloek, Putri Mentawai, Ratu Mas Lamban Gedung, and Hj. Inci Hindun Rauf were reduced, silenced, or marginalized to the domestic and cultural realms. Oral tradition needed to be seen as an alternative epistemic medium and archive preserving the collective memory of the role of female heroes outside of written colonial archives and state narratives. Conclusion This study concluded that silencing was read as a form of layered epistemic injustice between the coloniality of knowledge and the coloniality of gender. It also offered a framework to reconstruct Lampung's history in a more inclusive, gender-just manner, grounded in community knowledge.

Abstract

Pemikiran moderasi beragama K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari memberikan panduan yang berharga untuk menjalani agama dengan cara yang seimbang, toleran, dan bebas dari sikap intoransi. penerapan prinsip moderasi beragama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan pendidikan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap stabilitas dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui relevansi pemikiran moderasi beragama K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari bagi keberaagamaan masyarakat Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskrptif. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara kepada pimpinan, pengurus, santri serta alumni Pondok Pesatren Al Hikmah. Hasilnya adalah nilai-nilai moderasi beragama yang diwarisi oleh K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari mengenai konsep tasamuh, tawasuth, tamazun sangat membantu dalam menjalani kehidupan sehari hari. Pemikiran moderasi beragama K.H Hasyim Asy'ari hingga saat ini masih sangat relevan untuk dijadikan pedoman masyarakat Bandar Lampung yang hidup ditengah keberagamaan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini ialah Moderasi beragama penting dalam mencegah sikap intoleran yang sering kali muncul akibat pemahaman agama yang sempit dan fanatik. Rekomendasi pada penelitian berikutnya adalah menggali bagaimana prinsip moderasi beragama K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari dapat diadaptasi dalam konteks media sosial dan komunikasi digital serta implikasinya terhadap kehidupan publik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kedudukan dan relevansi pemikiran politik Jamaluddin Al-Afghani terhadap pemikiran moderat di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka atau library research dengan mendeskripsikan pemikiran Jamaluddin al-Afghani yang kemudian dicari titik temunya dengan pemikiran moderat di Indonesia. Rujukan utama karya Jamaluddin al-Afghani yang didalami adalah Hakikati Madhhabi Naychari wa Bayani Hali Naychariyan. Dalam penelitian ini, pemikiran politik Jamaluddin Al-Afghani yakni Siyasah Dauliyyah atau politik hubungan internasional dianalisis secara mendalam. Setelah dianalisis, ditemukan relevansi pemikiran Siyasah Dauliyyah Al-Afghani dengan gagasan nasionalisme oleh pemikir dan pejuang Islam di Indonesia yaitu KH. Hasyim Asy’ari dengan gagasan Hubbul Wathon Minal Iman. Dengan demikian, terdapat titik temu antara pemikiran Jamaluddin Al Afghani dengan pemikiran moderat di Indonesia yang ditemukan dalam pemikiran nasionalisme KH. Hasyim Asy’ari.

Abstract

Forest and Land Rehabilitation (FLR) is essential for maintaining ecological balance, particularly in Ulu Belu District, Tanggamus Regency, which faces a high risk of landslides. This study examines the strategies adopted by the Forestry Service in implementing forest and land rehabilitation efforts and the challenges encountered. A qualitative research approach was applied, using data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation with relevant stakeholders, including the Forestry Service and the local community. Findings indicate that the Forestry Service has employed multiple strategies, including the Community Forestry Program (HKm), agroforestry practices, planting soil-stabilizing vegetation, and conducting public awareness campaigns on environmental conservation. However, these initiatives face significant hurdles, such as low public engagement, financial constraints, and the ongoing conversion of protected forests into farmland. Additionally, improper land management has further exacerbated landslide risks and environmental degradation. To improve the efficiency of rehabilitation programs, a more holistic approach is necessary. This includes offering incentives to farmers who implement conservation-oriented agricultural methods, strengthening institutional frameworks within social forestry programs, and promoting collaboration among the government, local communities, and private entities. By adopting more cohesive and sustainable strategies, forest and land rehabilitation in Ulu Belu District can effectively mitigate disaster risks and ensure long-term ecological stability for future generations.

Abstract

Permasalahan anak putus sekolah masih menjadi isu strategis dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia, khususnya pada kelompok masyarakat rentan secara sosial-ekonomi. Dalam perspektif politik Islam, tanggung jawab negara dalam melindungi anak merupakan bagian dari siyāsah syar‘iyyah sebagai kebijakan publik yang bertujuan mewujudkan maslahah ʿāmmah serta memenuhi maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, terutama perlindungan akal (ḥifẓ al-ʿaql) dan jiwa (ḥifẓ al-nafs). Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi perlindungan anak putus sekolah melalui Program Campus Social Responsibility (CSR) yang dilaksanakan perguruan tinggi di bawah koordinasi Dinas Sosial Provinsi Lampung berdasarkan Peraturan Gubernur Lampung Nomor 1 Tahun 2021 tentang Perlindungan Anak. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus tunggal. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan group interview melibatkan 6 mahasiswa dan 7 anak PMKS dari jenjang SD–SMA, diskusi kelompok terarah, dan analisis dokumen kebijakan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa strategi CSR dalam kerangka siyāsah syar‘iyyah dilaksanakan melalui tiga pendekatan utama, yaitu: (1) pemantauan anak berisiko putus sekolah, (2) fasilitasi pembiayaan pendidikan bagi anak dari keluarga kurang mampu, dan (3) penguatan koordinasi lintas lembaga antara dinas sosial, dinas pendidikan, dan perguruan tinggi. Implementasi kebijakan ini berkontribusi pada penurunan angka putus sekolah, peningkatan partisipasi pendidikan, serta penguatan keadilan dan perlindungan sosial berbasis nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of political literacy on students’ understanding of democracy among students enrolled in the Islamic Political Thought Study Program at a  State Islamic University in Lampung in 2024. The study is grounded in the theoretical assumption that political literacy functions as a form of civic competence that shapes students’ capacity to understand, evaluate, and internalize democratic values and practices. This research employed a quantitative survey design using a questionnaire as the primary instrument to measure political literacy as the independent variable and understanding of democracy as the dependent variable. The population consisted of active students of the Islamic Political Thought Study Program at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Raden Intan Lampung, with 20 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the direction and magnitude of the relationship between the two variables. The results show that political literacy has a positive and statistically significant effect on students’ understanding of democracy (p < 0.05), indicating that students with higher political literacy tend to demonstrate better understanding of democratic values, participation, and public accountability. The coefficient of determination (R²) further indicates that political literacy contributes meaningfully to explaining variation in students’ democratic understanding, although the remaining variance is influenced by factors outside the model. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening political literacy through curriculum development, student organizational engagement, and civic learning in Islamic higher education. This study contributes empirically to the development of political education research by demonstrating that political literacy plays a significant role in shaping democratic understanding among students in an Islamic academic context.
