Abstract

Pavement Surface Evaluation System according to the types of road damages which in are seatnce generally used by visual approximation methods in are seatenceBina Marga method, Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, and Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating System (PASER) method. This research aims to analyze the comparisons between each method in evaluating Garuda Sakti Street, Pekanbaru. Thetypes of damages which were found at the location are: alligator cracks, longitudinal cracks, grade segregation, ruts, grade depression, road patches, potholes, and edgecracks. According to Bina Marga method, the highest damages record was grade segregation with the magnitude of 134,75% from total area of survey location, and thelowest record was grade depression with the magnitude of 0,70% which produced the same priority value i.e. 6 and could be classified with periodic maintenance program.All the severe damages was found at STA 100-200 m with the PCI = 16 (very poor), the 3rd priority for Enhancement program, and the PASER = 3 could be classified as Structural Repair and Overlay. The evaluation results for Garuda Sakti Street at STA 00+000-01+000 m by using Bina Marga method yielded the priority score of 43 and could be classified as routine maintenance program category, with PCI of 70,1 in good category and PASER of 5 in Sealcoat addition category.Keywords : pavement condition evaluation, Bina Marga method, PCI method, andPASER method.

Abstract

Road is a land transport infrastructure which has important role to facilitate economic activities in a certain area. SM. Amin Road in Pekanbaru is a causeway that connects Pekanbaru city to Minas, Siak. Any damage found on the road can cause serious inconvenience to road users, hence a essential maintenance deemed necessary. Improper overlay design may cause the rapid deterioration (under-design) or the overlay construction is uneconomical (over-design). Therefore, it’s required a spesific method to get a good design overlay. This study revealed that overlay is required for SM. Amin road at KM 03+900 – 05+200. This study compared two different methods of overlay design i.e. Pd T-05-2005-B and i.e. No.04/SE/DB/2017. Pd T-05-2005-B gives overlay thickness of 20 cm where as No.04/SE/DB/2017 gives 11 cm. The big difference in the overlay thickness between the two methods is caused by differences in seasonal factors, temperature correction factors and formulas in overlay calculation.Keywords: Benkelman Beam, Deflection, Overlay

Abstract

Road is one of transportation infrastructure which has very important role in economic growth in rural or urban areas. SM Amin Road is located in Payung Sekaki District and this road is an arterial road that has 2 track and 6 lanes. SM Amin road has length of 8.14 km and widthof 8 m. The road was previously overlayed in 2016 because the road was damaged such as swelling, potholes, and cracks. At present (2019) the road is damaged again so that it could be dangerous for road users. This study analyzed deflectometry result from benkelman beam. Theresults reveal that the subgrade is in poor condition. The condition was analyzed using 2017 Bina Marga Method, it shows that overlay is required along STA 03+900 until 05+200 with the thickness of 11 cm. The results of the deflectometry analysis shows that Jalan SM Amin hasa poor subgrade, so it is necessary to be improved. However, handling using structural overlays according to the 2017 Bina Marga Method can be used to reduce the stress which received bythe subgrade so that it can minimize the cost of pavement repair.Keywords: 2017 Bina Marga Method, Benkelman Beam, Deflection, Deflectometry, Overlay

Abstract

Terms of coarse aggregate to blend the mix of which is shaped kubikal, a plane of rupture of at least two and a rough surface texture, generally in the form of crushed stone, so that granular aggregate have a good interloking in the mix. However, in certain areas of aggregate supply that meets these requirements, sometimes difficult and requires a high cost. Especially in Riau Mainland, crushed stone aggregate shall be imported from Riau Kepuluan (Tanjung Pinang). Meanwhile, the Riau mainland itself has a considerable potential source of material derived from the Kampar River, but it is round and smooth surface texture.

Abstract

Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan atau mengembalikan kemampuan dan pelayanan jalan adalah dengan melakukan tebal lapis tambah (overlay). Pada penelitian ini perencanaan overlay secara non destruktif berdasarkan lendutan balik, dilakukan menggunakan Manual Desain Perkerasan Jalan Nomor 02/M/BM/2013 berdasarkan nilai faktor keseragaman yang mempengaruhinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh nilai Fk terhadap variasi tebal lapis tambah di jalan Kelakap Tujuh Dumai-Riau.  Hasil analisis menunjukan nilai ekivalen beban sumbu standar selama umur rencana 10 tahun sebesar 6.546.500,63 ESA. Dengan melakukan pembagian segmen untuk mendapatkan variasi faktor keseragaman (Fk) dan tebal lapis tambah (overlay)  yang berbeda  maka diperoleh hasil pada segmen 1 Sta 00+000 s/d Sta 00+550 FK 24% overlay 4,1 cm, segmen 2 Sta 00+550 s/d Sta 01+200 FK 19% overlay 7,2 cm, segmen 3 Sta 01+200 s/d Sta 01+750 FK 19% overlay 8 cm dan segmen 4 Sta 01+750 s/d Sta 02+300 FK 11% overlay 9 cm.Kata kunci:  tebal lapis tambah, lendutan balik, faktor keseragaman

Abstract

Oil palm trunk is one of the biomass that has not been utilized and becomes waste in the former oil palm replanting location. The application of palm oil processing technology for furniture raw materials can provide solutions to target audiences to be utilized and developed in the future. The aim of the community service activity is to assist the processing of oil palm stems for the production of furniture that has distinctive features and high selling value. The method of implementing the activity is theoretical assistance and direct practice to target audiences regarding palm oil processing technology for decorative furniture products. Achievement measurement tools consist of theoretical understanding and application suitability in the field. The results of these activities can be implemented by various prototypes of furniture products. The partner's knowledge of the wood processing business makes the transfer of science and technology for the use of oil palm trunks easier to implement. Socio-economically for the local community is very beneficial because it can change the perception of the existence of palm oil stems which have been considered as waste into a potential that can be utilized for an economically valuable product.

Abstract

Solid waste from oil palm trunks after replanting activities in oil palm plantations has the potential to be utilized. However, the community's perspective considers that oil palm trunks cannot be utilized because they are easy to mold and have low strength. The application of innovation and technology will be able to provide solutions to community empowerment and utilization of the potential of oil palm trunks. The purpose of the service activity is to provide assistance to innovation and technology on how to use palm oil trunk waste as raw material for furniture and building interior products in Pancurangading Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The results of service activities can be declared successful in providing community understanding, attitudes, and skills. The success rate of the program based on pre-test and post-test data was 37.5% (do not understand) and increased to 84.7% (understand). People's perceptions of oil palm trunks have been able to change so that they are able to understand, utilize and produce palm wood raw materials into various variants of furniture and building interiors. Utilization of oil palm trunks can provide business opportunities for the community in the future.

Abstract

Jalan nasional merupakan jalan yang digunakan sebagai penghubung antar daerah dengan kapasitas dan lajur jalan yang besar, sehingga dapat menunjang dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat. Jalan nasional Simpang Kayu Ara – Batas Kebupaten Pelalawan merupakan satu satunya akses masuk ke Kota Pekanbaru dari Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi dan jenis preservasi jalan yang ada di ruas jalan nasional Simpang Kayu Ara – Batas Kebupaten Pelalawan. Adapun panjang segmen jalan ini adalah 3,6 Km. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif berdasarkan data sekunder dari Balai Pelaksanaan Jalan Nasional Provinsi Riau. Parameter yang digunakan dalam menentukan jenis kegiatan preservasi jalan adalah nilai Remaining Structural Life (RSL) dan International Roughness Index (IRI). Melalui penelitian ini didapatkan kondisi dan jenis preservasi ruas jalan nasional Simpang Kayu Ara – Batas Kabupaten Pelalawan bahwa nilai IRI adalah 82,86% dalam kondisi sedang, 17,14% rusak ringan. Adapun kebutuhan akan kegiatan preservasi pada jalan ini sebanyak 68,57% bagian jalan memerlukan perawatan rutin, 11,43% memerlukan structural overlay dan 20% jalan memerlukan rekonstruksi.

Abstract

Semakin tinggi kegiatan ekonomi, semakin banyak kegiatan distribusi, maka semakin besar pula kerusakan jalan yang ditumbulkan. Untuk menjaga kondisi kemantapan jalan perlu adanya program penanganan dan pemeliharaan jalan. Program dapat disusun berdasarkan umur sisa perkerasan (Remaining Structural life, RSL). Dengan mengetahui umur sisa perkerasan Pembina jalan dapat mentukan prioritas dan jenis kegiatan preservasi jalan paling tepat untuk menjaga kondisi perkerasan. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada Ruas Jalan Nasional Pematang Reba- Rengat sepanjang 11, 2 Km. Data yang digunakan adalah data lendutan dari alat Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), data lalulintas harian rerata (LHR), dan data geometrik Jalan. Hasil analisis didapatkan Perawatan rutin diperlukan pada jalan STA 0+00 hingga STA 1+207, STA 3+209 hingga STA 4+014, STA 4+409 hingga STA 4+812, STA 5+231 hingga STA 8+010, STA 9+209 hingga STA10+803. Penanganan dengan lapis tambahan (overlay) diperlukan pada STA 1+615 hingga STA 2+810, STA STA 4+014, STA 4+812, STA 8+804 hingga STA 8+802. Penanganan dengan rekonstruksi diperlukan pada STA 11+198

Abstract

Climate change has an impact on increasing the temperature of the earth's surface which causes an increase in extreme weather such as floods and droughts. Climate change adaptation is an effort to increase the ability to adapt to changes, including climate diversity and extreme climate events, so that the potential damage caused by climate change can be reduced, opportunities posed by climate change can be utilized and the consequences can be overcome. This study discusses hydrological disasters due to climate change with a change adaptation approach, through environmentally sound drainage or ecodrain. One of the chosen forms of ecodrain is infiltration wells. Excess water that causes flooding can be reduced by storing excess water into the soil. Water that is absorbed into the soil is beneficial for the continuity of groundwater. From the results of the discussion, it is known that with extreme weather changes, evaporation exceeds the amount of rainfall in certain months in Pekanbaru City in 2018. The potential for water loss from this area results in the emergence of potential drought. However, as long as the annual rainfall value is greater than the evaporation value, the annual meteorological drought in the area can be avoided. On the other hand, the design of infiltration wells in the Hang Tuah Cipta Housing area is able to reduce runoff that occurs by 70% of the total runoff to be absorbed into the ground. Thus infiltration wells are able to provide benefits in reducing flooding and saving groundwater.
