Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze science learning based on the independent learning curriculum and the obstacles faced in science learning based on the independent learning curriculum. This research was conducted at SDN 02 Mojorejo, Madiun City with research subjects of teachers and grade IV students in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The focus of the research was taken from students' learning styles during learning activities with data collection techniques obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and data retrieval. The validity of the research data uses a credibility test with technical triangulation. The results of the study show that science learning based on the independent learning curriculum is quite conducive. In preparing science learning based on the independent curriculum, teachers participate in training to prepare for the implementation of the independent learning curriculum, compile teaching modules that are adjusted to student needs, and create learning media. In implementing learning, teachers use lecture, discussion, and presentation methods. In learning the material on the Map of Indonesia in the independent curriculum, students have critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.

Abstract

This research evaluates the outcomes of efforts to enhance collaborative abilities following the adoption of a digital board-based interactive learning approach. The study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR), which encompasses four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Conducted across two cycles—Cycle I and Cycle II—it uses the pre-cycle stage as a baseline and initial reference point. The participants comprised 31 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 4 Madiun, including 16 boys and 15 girls. The research followed the procedural framework of the Kemmis and McTaggart model over the two cycles. Data were collected through observation activities involving students, utilizing instruments such as test question observation sheets. The findings revealed an improvement in collaboration skills following the introduction of the digital board-based interactive learning model. In Cycle I, students' collaboration skills rose to 73.54%. In Cycle II, these skills further improved to 87.35%. These results indicate that the digital board-based interactive learning approach effectively enhances students' teamwork abilities and educational achievements. Therefore, this study can be a recommendation and become an alternative choice for teachers to implement and improve the quality of learning in the classroom

Abstract

The Indonesian government is paying close attention to digitalizing education. The main goal is to use technology to achieve greater equality, improve efficiency in governance and enhance the quality of learning throughout the country. One of the government's concrete steps to accelerate the implementation of digitalization policies in Indonesia is the provision of Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs). The program aims to transform conventional classrooms into interactive, modern, student-centered digital learning spaces. SMAN 1 Nglames, an upper secondary education institution, is implementing a digitalization program through the use of Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs). The author conducted research at this school using a qualitative research approach involving an intervention in the form of teaching activities using the Interactive Flat Panel (IFP), followed by interviews to collect data. The results show that the digitalization program and the improvement in educational quality through the use of Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) has had a positive impact on the entire school ecosystem. For teachers, this interactive touchscreen device simplifies administrative tasks while providing access to innovative digital teaching resources. Students benefit from a more interactive, inclusive and visual learning experience, which stimulates creativity and digital literacy relevant to the times. From a management perspective, the effectiveness of IFP-based learning helps the head teacher to monitor class performance in real time for more accurate data-driven decision-making. Ultimately, the integration of this cutting-edge technology has raised the school's graduation standards, created an adaptive institutional governance system, and increased public confidence in the school's credibility.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the critical thinking skills and social studies (IPS) learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Madiun through the use of Padlet, a collaborative digital learning application. The background of this study was the low level of students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, shown by pre-cycle data with an average critical thinking score of 50.00% and an average learning outcome of 67.57, with classical mastery of only 33%. This study followed the Kemmis and McTaggart action research model, carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages, involving 31 eighth-grade students. Critical thinking data were collected through observation sheets based on four indicators, while learning outcome data were collected through written tests at the end of each cycle. The results showed that Padlet improved students' critical thinking skills from 50.00% in the pre-cycle to 68.13% in cycle I and 81.25% in cycle II. The average learning outcome score increased from 67.57 to 74.27 in cycle I and 82.90 in cycle II, with classical mastery rising from 33% to 57% in cycle I and 97% in cycle II. Abstract

This classroom action research aims to describe the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audio visual media and to improve the learning motivation and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject at SDN 01 Taman Kota Madiun. The research was motivated by low learning motivation and learning outcomes, where the pre cycle showed that only 28% of students were motivated and 13.8% achieved the minimum mastery criteria. The study used a mixed method approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects were 29 fourth grade students. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics and the qualitative model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the average motivation score increased from 66.5 in the pre cycle to 74.3 in cycle I and 83.8 in cycle II, with the percentage of motivated students rising from 28% to 69% and reaching 100% in cycle II. Learning outcomes also improved, with the class average increasing from 64.9 in the pre cycle to 73.4 in cycle I and 82.4 in cycle II, and mastery rising from 13.8% to 69% and reaching 100% in cycle II. These findings confirm that the Discovery Learning model assisted by audio visual media effectively improves the learning motivation and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in IPAS.
