Abstract

This study aims to examine the production of bok choy in dry land due to differences in N fertilizer with planting media and row intervals through vertical fertigation cultivation. This study used a Split Plot Design with two factors, namely fertilizer with media and planting rows. The main plot was a combination of fertilizer and media consisting of: urea 1 g/L + POC 40 mL/L + BPN 10 mL/L with a planting medium of 50% soil: biochar - compost 50%; urea 0.5 g/L + POC 20 mL/L + BPN 5 mL/L with a planting medium of 50% soil: biochar - compost 50%; urea 1 g/L + POC 40 mL/L + BPN 10 mL/L with a planting medium of 25% soil: biochar - compost 75%; Urea 0.5 g/L + 20 mL/L Organic Fertilizer (POC) + 5 mL/L Organic Plant Growth Regulator (BPN) with a growing medium of 25% soil: biochar - 75% compost. The planting rows consisted of the first planting row, the second planting row, and the third planting row. The results showed that different N fertilizers, planting medium, and row intervals increased bok choy production in dryland, with the best results being achieved with urea 1 g/L + 40 mL/L Organic Fertilizer (POC) + 10 mL/L Organic Plant Growth Regulator (BPN) and 25% soil + 75% biochar - compost in the third row.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of farmer groups in applying the concept of livestock-plant integration and verticulture to Pakcoy cultivation in yard lands. The methods used in this service are counseling and demonstration methods. This community service activities are carried out in the yard lands of the Sion Women's Farmer Group in Sasi Village, Kota Kefamenanu District, North Central Timor Regency. The activity involved a farmer group consisting of 6 (six) people, servants, students and the surrounding community who accidentally saw the activity. Based on the community service activities, it was found that the Sion Women Farmer Group was able to (1) use a verticulture system with the concept of livestock-plant integration in Pakcoy cultivation in yard lands, (2) utilize chicken livestock waste into bokashi as a composition for planting media for Pakcoy cultivation, (3) utilize yards as more productive agricultural land, (4) meet the food needs of the family, and (5) manage time and labor.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase the innovation of farmer groups in implementing vegetable cultivation technology in dry land through organic fertilizer and verticulture with a wick fertigation system. The method applied in this service uses counseling and training (learning by doing). The implementation was carried out on the agricultural land of the Nunuh Naek and Taruna Tani Farmer Group in October – December 2023. This activity involved the Napan Village Government and the North Bikomi District Agricultural Extension Officer to support the partner team together with the Implementing Team (University of Timor) and the Accompanying Team (Widya Catholic University Mandala Surabaya) to develop regional development programs in accordance with the relationship between Kosabangsa and RPJMD activities. The results of the service concluded that there was an increase in the ability of farmer groups to independently design verticulture with a wick fertigation system as an innovation in cultivating vegetables on dry land; able to apply Ribon Atom I as a soil amendment as well as adding nutrients to plants; and increasing the ability of partners in agribusiness management of horticultural farming.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the Kana farmer group in cultivating oyster mushrooms by utilizing furniture waste. The method of implementing this service uses participatory action research with the stages of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The evaluation instrument for this activity uses a questionnaire sheet, and then the data obtained is analyzed descriptively. The results of this service show that there is an increase in knowledge about the utilization of furniture waste in oyster mushroom growth media and provide skill experience to farmer groups in cultivating oyster mushrooms.

Abstract

Luas areal kelapa sawit di Indonesia semakin meningkat sehingga diperlukan bibit yang lebih baik. Melalui proses pembibitan dapat dihasilkan bibit-bibit yang bermutu. Pemberian Azotobacter dan kompos kulit buah kakao (KKBK) merupakan salah satu alternatif yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit dengan pemberian Azotobacter dan kompos kulit buah kakao pada pembibitan utama. Penelitian ini dilakukan di areal kampus STIPAP Medan pada Februari-Juli 2013 dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dilanjutkan pada uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT). Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, lingkar batang, dan jumlah daun. Dari hasil penelitian, kombinasi A1K1 adalah perlakuan terbaik untuk tinggi tanaman senilai 74.43 cm, dan jumlah daun senilai 12.67 helai. Aplikasi Azotobacter dan kompos kulit buah kakao yang sangat baik dengan dosis 20 ml Azotobacter dan 125 gr kompos dapat menjadi pilihan dalam pembibitan kelapa sawit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian solid dan kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit di pembibitan awal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2018. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Non Faktorial sebanyak 9 perlakuan M1 = tanpa solid dan kompos TKKS ; M2 = solid 100 g/polybag ; M3 = solid 200 g/polybag ; M4 = kompos TKKS 100 g/polybag ; M5 = kompos TKKS 200 g/polybag ; M6 = solid 100 g/polybag : kompos TKKS 100 g/polybag ; M7 = solid 100 g/polybag : kompos TKKS 200 g/polybag ; M8 = kompos TKKS 100 g/polybag : solid 200 g/ polybag dan M9 = kompos TKKS 200 g/ polybag : solid 200 g/ polybag yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test) taraf 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh solid berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan lilit batang dan jumlah daun pada 12 MST dengan hasil yang tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan M3 (solid 200 g/polybag) sedangkan pemberian solid dan TKKS berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot kering akar pada 12 MST dengan hasil yang tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan M3 (solid 200 g/polybag) dan M4 (TKKS 100 g/polybag).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi dan gulma terbanyak yang terdapat pada perkebunan kelapa sawit rakyat. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriktif dengan teknik survei. Plot contoh menggunakan metode petak kuadrat (1 m x 1 m) dan diletakkan secara purposive sampling dengan total 12 plot. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 14 jenis gulma dengan 10 jenis berdaun lebar, 3 jenis berdaun sempit dan 1 jenis berdaun teki-tekian. Dari ketiga golongan ini terdapat beberapa jenis gulma dengan INP tertinggi pada berdaun lebar yaitu Arachis pintoi sebesar 14,96 %, INP tertinggi pada gulma berdaun sempit yaitu Ottochloa nodosa sebesar 17,78 %, dan INP tertinggi pada gulma teki yaitu Cyperus rotundus sebesar 10,84 %.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efikasi herbisida glifosat dan 2,4 – D dimetil amina terhadap pengendalian gulma pada perkebunan kelapa sawit tanaman menghasilkan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada perkebunan rakyat di Desa Lengau Seprang, Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang dari Maret – Juni 2018 menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 2 faktorial dengan uji lanjut menggunakan Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf α 5%. Faktor pertama adalah glifosat dengan konsentrasi 1,5 cc/l (G1), 3,0 cc/l (G2), 4,5 cc/l (G3), 6,0 cc/l (G4) dan faktor kedua adalah 2,4 – D dimetil amina dengan konsentrasi 1,5 cc/l (D1), 3,0 cc/l (D2), 4,5 cc/l (D3), 6,0 cc/l (D4) sehingga diperoleh 16 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 2 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa glifosat berpengaruh nyata pada persentase kematian gulma dan pertumbuhan gulma kembali dengan kematian gulma tertinggi pada G4 umur 1 HSA dan pertumbuhan gulma kembali pada G1 umur 4 MSA. Aplikasi 2,4 – D dimetil amina berpengaruh nyata pada persentase kematian gulma hasil tertinggi pada perlakuan D4 umur 1 – 4 HSA. Interaksi keduanya tidak berpengaruh nyata pada persentase kematian gulma dan pertumbuhan gulma kembali.

Abstract

Budidaya jagung banyak dilakukan masyarakat Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) sebagai upaya memenuhikebutuhan pangan. Peningkatan produksi jagung d TTU di lahan kering perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitianini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dengan pemberian komposisi dan jenis pupuk organik.Penelitian dilaksanakan pada lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Timor yangdilaksanakan pada bulan September -Desember 2020. Metode yang digunakan eksperimen denganRancangan Akan Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial yang terdiri dari 9 kombinasi perlakuan yaitu: F1=pupuk kandang sapi:tanah (1:1) dan POC ml/500 ml, F2 = pupuk kandang sapi:tanah (1:1 ) dan POC2 ml/500 ml, F3 = pupuk kandang sapi:tanah (1:1) dan POC 3 ml/500 ml, F4 = pupuk kandangkambing:tanah (1:1) dan POC 1 ml/500 ml, F5 = pupuk kandang kambing:tanah (1:1) dan POC 2ml/500 ml, F6 = pupuk kandang kambing:tanah (1:1) dan POC 3 ml/500 ml, F7 = pupuk kandangsapi:pupuk kandang kambing:tanah (1:1:1) dan POC 1 ml/500 ml, F8 = pupuk kandang sapi:pupukkandang kambing:tanah (1:1:1) dan POC 2 ml/500 ml, F9 = pupuk kandang sapi:pupuk kandangkambing:tanah (1:1:1) dan POC 3 ml/500 ml. Seluruh perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehinggatotal percobaan adalah 27 unit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkkab bahwa komposisi dan jenis pupukberpengaruh nyata terhadapat tinggi dan diameter batang tanaman jagung dengan pemberian pupukkandang kambing:tanah (1:1) dan POC 1 ml/500 ml.

Abstract

Manganese is a micro nutrient that plants need in small quantities. Manganese plays an important role as an enzyme activator, including phosphate transfer enzymes and enzymes in the Krebs cycle. The aim of this research was to study the chemical and physical properties of the soil on ex-manganese excavated land in Oelami Village, TTU Regency. This research was carried out in June-September 2022. Analysis of the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil was carried out in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Timor, and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Nusa Cendana University. This study used a descriptive experimental method which was carried out by survey and continued with laboratory analysis. Soil samples were taken at 5 points based on land use. Based on the results of the analysis of the chemical and physical properties of soil from ex-manganese excavated land, pH was 6.321 (slightly sour), CEC 33.46 me/100g (high), C-organic 0.22% (low), N-total 0.22% (low ), P-total 61.44 mg/100g (high), K-total 71.189 mg/100g (high), Mn-total 19,089 ppm (high), organic matter 0.81% (low), sandy loam soil texture ( sand 81.33%, dust 10.67%, and clay 8.00%), soil water content 8.611% (medium), soil density 1.25 g/cm3 (medium), soil specific gravity 1.47 g/ cm3 (low), and porosity 14.961% (high)
