Abstract

A balanced diet plays an important role in supporting adolescent health and development. Adolescence is characterized by rapid physical growth and complex psychological and social changes, so that nutritional needs are higher than in childhood. This literature study aims to comprehensively examine the effect of a balanced diet on the physical, mental, and social health of adolescents based on the latest scientific findings. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to scientific articles published in the last five years. The results of the study indicate that a balanced diet that includes the right intake of macronutrients and micronutrients contributes to optimal growth, endurance, cognitive function, and emotional stability. Conversely, an unbalanced diet is closely related to various health problems such as obesity, anemia, mental disorders, and decreased academic achievement. These findings indicate that integrated educational interventions and nutrition policies are urgently needed among adolescents to support the creation of a holistically healthy generation.

Abstract

The shift in adolescent consumption patterns towards fast food dominance has become a complex global issue, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. Fast food is now not only a practical choice, but also a symbol of modernity and lifestyle that is massively promoted by digital media. This study aims to examine the impact of fast food consumption on adolescent physical and psychosocial health through a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were collected from various accredited scientific sources, including international journals, health organization reports, and relevant national survey results, with a publication period of the last five years (2019–2024). The findings show that excessive consumption of fast food is strongly correlated with an increase in the prevalence of obesity, metabolic syndrome, and psychological disorders such as negative body image and stress. Low nutritional literacy, minimal formal education, and the dominance of unhealthy food promotions on social media exacerbate adolescent vulnerability to the long-term impacts of such consumption. Therefore, multidimensional interventions are needed that not only target individual consumption behavior but also reform information systems, educational curricula, and regulations on fast food marketing to adolescents. This study emphasizes the importance of scientific literature as a basis for evidence-based adolescent health policies.

Abstract

Amidst the flow of globalization, modern lifestyles characterized by high mobility, instant diets, and chronic stress exposure have had a significant impact on the decline in the quality of community immunity. This study aims to critically examine the relationship between balanced nutrition and the immune system through a qualitative literature study approach. Analysis was conducted on 40 primary scientific sources from accredited national and international journals, as well as policy documents and reports from global institutions such as WHO and FAO in the period 2015–2025. The results of the study indicate that adequate intake of macro and micro nutrients, especially vitamins D, C, A, E, zinc, and selenium, plays an important role in maintaining the integrity and responsiveness of the body's immune system. The findings also show that deficiencies of essential nutrients contribute to decreased vaccine effectiveness, increased risk of respiratory tract infections, and weakened resistance to non-communicable diseases. However, the gap between knowledge and practice of nutritious food consumption is still high, especially in the lower middle economic group. Therefore, balanced nutrition is not only an individual health issue, but also a structural problem that requires cross-sectoral solutions. This study recommends the integration of nutritional policies based on scientific evidence, as well as public education based on cultural contexts to strengthen the community's immune system in a sustainable manner

Abstract

The problem of malnutrition in children under five in rural areas remains a complex public health challenge, influenced by low nutritional literacy, limited health infrastructure, family economic conditions, and suboptimal government intervention. This study used a qualitative literature review method, with purposive sampling of national journal articles and health institution reports over the past five years. Content analysis was conducted to identify strategies for nutrition education, utilization of local foods, community-based approaches, and multi-sector synergy. The results of the study indicate that nutrition education for mothers of toddlers plays a key role in improving understanding and practice of breastfeeding and complementary feeding. In addition, strengthening integrated health posts, empowering family economies, and utilizing local foods such as sweet potatoes and moringa leaves increase nutritional resilience. Participatory intervention strategies—involving cadres, local figures, and ongoing monitoring mechanisms—show higher effectiveness than top-down models. Cross-sector collaboration strengthens program implementation and ensures sustainability. Overall, the best strategies to overcome malnutrition are holistic, contextual, and sustainable. This study recommends strengthening community-based approaches, routine monitoring at the village level, and policies that support integration between nutrition education, local foods, and family economic empowerment.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has raised global awareness of the importance of a strong immune system as the body's primary defense against infection. One of the key factors that influences immunity is a balanced nutritious diet. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to analyze the role of balanced nutrition in improving immunity during the pandemic. The results of the study show that macronutrients such as protein and micronutrients such as vitamins A, C, D, E, and minerals such as zinc and selenium have a significant contribution to supporting the immune system. Deficiency of any one of these nutrients has been shown to weaken the immune response and increase the risk of infection. On the other hand, many people still do not understand the principles of balanced nutrition as a whole, resulting in erroneous consumption practices, such as relying on supplements without paying attention to holistic diets. In addition, disinformation during the pandemic has exacerbated the gap in public nutritional knowledge. Therefore, education based on scientific evidence is very important to build a correct understanding of the role of nutrition in maintaining immunity. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in formulating strategies to improve public health through a sustainable nutritional approach

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden period in human life that greatly determines the quality of long-term growth and development. One important factor that supports the optimization of this phase is the fulfillment of micronutrient needs such as iron, iodine, zinc, and vitamin A. This study aims to examine in depth the impact of micronutrient deficiencies on early childhood development through a literature study method with a qualitative approach. The results of the literature search indicate that micronutrient deficiencies have a serious impact on cognitive development, physical growth, social-emotional abilities, and children's immune systems. Iron deficiency anemia, iodine deficiency, zinc deficiency, and lack of vitamin A have been shown to contribute to decreased IQ, motor delays, and increased risk of infectious diseases and child mortality. These findings emphasize that the problem of micronutrient deficiencies is a multidimensional issue that requires cross-sector interventions based on scientific evidence. These interventions include family education, fortification programs, and community empowerment in providing nutritious food. Thus, the fulfillment of micronutrients from an early age is a strategic step in developing superior, healthy, and productive human resources in the future

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of criminal law enforcement in drug cases involving adolescents in a large city in Indonesia, using a qualitative approach. The main focus of this study is to analyze how law enforcement policies and practices are applied to drug cases among adolescents and the challenges faced in the process. Through in-depth interviews with law enforcement officers, lawyers, and social workers, as well as focus group discussions (FGDs) with adolescents and community members, this study identifies several key issues. Findings indicate that while existing criminal law policies provide strict sanctions, law enforcement is often hampered by limited resources, lack of specialized training, and an overly punitive approach to adolescents. The study also notes shortcomings in the rehabilitation services available to adolescents involved in drugs. Based on these findings, the study recommends the need for policy reform with a focus on rehabilitative approaches and improving the quality and accessibility of rehabilitation services for adolescents

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Indonesia's economic resilience in facing the global crisis by examining the influence of six main variables, namely the global crisis, fiscal policy, monetary policy, the contribution of the MSME sector, economic growth, and the unemployment rate, this study uses a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression methods, this study utilizes time series data from 2018–2024 processed through Eviews software, the test results show that all variables have a significant influence on national economic resilience, the global crisis and the unemployment rate are proven to have a negative impact, while fiscal policy, monetary policy, MSMEs, and economic growth show a significant positive influence, economic growth is the most dominant variable in strengthening economic resilience, while unemployment is the most weakening factor, this empirical model also indicates that the combination of macro policy instruments and the strength of the domestic sector is the main key in maintaining national economic stability amidst external pressures. This study provides empirical evidence that can be utilized by policy makers in designing resilient and adaptive development strategies, these findings confirm that Indonesia's economic resilience depends not only on short-term responses to the crisis, but also on structural reforms, transparent governance, and cross-sector synergy in economic decision-making.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the relationship between principal leadership style and teacher work motivation in private schools through a literature review approach. In the context of private education, the principal's leadership style is a crucial factor in creating a supportive, collaborative, and motivating work environment. Analysis of various scientific articles indicates that transformational, democratic, and instructional leadership styles are most effective in improving teacher motivation and performance. Teachers who feel involved in decision-making and receive personal support from their leaders tend to have high intrinsic motivation, which impacts teaching quality and positive relationships with students. On the other hand, authoritarian and laissez-faire leadership styles are considered less effective and can even reduce teacher morale. The context of private schools, which often face limited resources, requires principals to be adaptive and responsive to teacher needs. This study confirms that effective leadership not only improves teacher performance but also creates a more positive and productive learning environment for students. These findings provide an important contribution to formulating leadership development policies in private education settings
