Abstract

Background: Patient adherence to the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) remains a challenge, particularly in semi-rural areas. While social and cognitive factors are known to influence health behavior, limited studies have emphasized the role of social support and perceived benefit in the Prolanis context. Objective: To examine the influence of social support and perceived benefit on patient adherence to Prolanis at Dlingo Community Health Center, Bantul. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study involving 163 active Prolanis participants. Data were analyzed using chi-square tests and binary logistic regression. Results: Both social support (OR=5.026; p<0.05) and perceived benefit (OR=5.637; p<0.05) were significantly associated with adherence, confirming their role as key predictors, alongside other Health Belief Model variables. Conclusion: Social support and perceived benefit substantially contribute to improving Prolanis adherence. This highlights the importance of holistic community nursing interventions through contextual education and engagement of families and health cadres.

Abstract

Low Back Pain (LBP) is a common complaint often caused by non-ergonomic sitting postures. Factors causing LBP include individual factors such as age, gender, and length of service, as well as occupational factors such as static body positions, repetitive movements, and excessive force exertion. This condition can lead to decreased productivity due to lost work time. This study aims to increase the elderly's understanding of the symptoms and causes of LBP and provide education regarding independent home exercises as a preventative measure. Work requires an ergonomic work position, because non-ergonomic work postures can increase the likelihood of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). These musculoskeletal disorders can reduce worker productivity, cause longer production times and increase worker absenteeism. Understanding ergonomic work positions is crucial for workers. Physiotherapy, as a health service that focuses on the development, maintenance, and recovery of body parts due to physical disorders, can help prevent musculoskeletal problems by utilizing ergonomic principles. Before starting the counseling, researchers filled out a questionnaire or pre-test with patients and after the counseling, a post-test was administered. The results of the counseling obtained based on the pre-test and post-test showed a 100% increase in understanding of educational material related to ergonomic work postures and stretching exercises.

Abstract

Background: In carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation actions, compression accuracy and compression speed are required to be correct and appropriate in order to create a quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation series. Therefore, nurses' knowledge and motivation are needed in carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Purpose: This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, motivation and accuracy in carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Method: This research uses a descriptive correlation research design with a cross sectional approach. With a purposive sampling technique, a sample of 49 respondents was obtained, the independent variables were knowledge and motivation, the dependent variable was cardiopulmonary resuscitation, using a questionnaire and observation sheet. The chi-square test was used to determine the relationship between the two variables. Results: The results of research from 49 respondents showed that the majority of respondents had moderate knowledge of 73.5%, moderate motivation of 59.2% and inappropriate RJP actions of 85.7%. Analysis using the chi-square statistical test on knowledge and motivation towards the implementation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation resulted in p = 0.000 ˂ 0.05, which means there is a relationship between knowledge and motivation towards the implementation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation measures. Conclusion: Knowledge has more influence on the implementation of RJP when compared to motivation, but in reality the level of knowledge is mostly in the medium category so it has an impact on the quality of RJP actions. The results will greatly influence health services to patients. Therefore, it must be supported by continuous learning or training in RJP techniques.
