Abstract

ABSTRACT The low level of knowledge of posyandu cadres on early detection of stunting led to efforts to hold educational activities. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of educational activities on the knowledge of Posyandu cadres regarding early detection of stunting based on Child Anthropometric Standards in PERMENKES No. 2 of 2020, which is implemented nationally. The study employed a within-group experimental design, with 32 respondents who were cadres of the Harjamekar Posyandu within the working area of the Mekarmukti Cikarang Utara Health Center. The research instrument used was a g-form questionnaire, and a nonprobability sampling technique was utilized. Data normality was assessed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, indicating that the data were not normally distributed (p < 0.05). The analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, which revealed a significant improvement in respondents' knowledge before and after education (p < 0.001, p < 0.05). Keywords: Cadres, Posyandu, Health Center, Education, Stunting, Early Detection  ABSTRAK Rendahnya pengetahuan kader posyandu terhadap deteksi dini stunting memunculkan upaya diadakannya suatu kegiatan edukasi. Abstract

The elderly are highly susceptible to ascariasis infection because, in addition to the occurrence of immunosenescence, helminths possess the ability to evade host immune responses, making them difficult to eradicate. This community service activity aimed to improve health literacy and early detection of diseases among the elderly in Pejaten, South Jakarta, with a specific focus on Ascariasis. The program was successfully attended by approximately 70 residents, where a medical team from the Faculty of Medicine and Health conducted comprehensive health history assessments and free medical check-ups. This education proved vital as a catalyst for behavioral change, shifting the community's initial perception that worm infections only affect children to an understanding that adults and the elderly are also at high risk. Through health screenings, residents also gained critical insights into their physical condition, including blood pressure, heart, lung, digestive, and skin health, as well as identifying personal risk factors for Ascariasis.
