Abstract

This study aims to examine and review the impact of language learning through text-based methods on the cognitive abilities of elementary school students. The research approach used is a qualitative study with the main instrument being the researcher, and supporting instruments including observation, interviews, and documentation of student learning outcomes at the elementary school level. Research data was obtained from various library sources, such as books, scientific articles, national and international journals, and other relevant scientific works related to text-based learning and student cognitive development. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of Indonesian language learning with text-based methods has a diverse impact on students. Differences in learning outcomes are not only influenced by the strategies and learning processes implemented by teachers, but are also closely related to students' cognitive abilities in understanding, interpreting, and processing information from Indonesian texts. Thus, text-based methods need to be adapted to the characteristics and levels of students' cognitive abilities so that learning objectives can be optimally achieved.

Abstract

This research examines the use of ECL media to improve literacy information of Islamic elementary school students. The method used was repeated pre-experiment without a control class. The research design used was one group pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using paired t-test, n-gain calculation, and ANOVA using IBM SPSS Version 25. The results showed an increase in students' information literacy, which was statistically significant at 5% alpha after learning using ECL media. The mean n-gain for the three classes was in the medium category and does not differ in three experimental classes, and more than 90% students responded positively to the teaching using ECL media. Based on the results, ECL media effectively improved students' information literacy. This research will be a new reference to improve the information literacy of elementary school students, especially first graders, for teachers, parents, and students independently.

Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages innovation in the learning process in elementary schools, particularly in efforts to foster learning interest and strengthen students' literacy skills. This study aims to describe the role of digital-based games as a learning medium in supporting learning interest and literacy skills in elementary school students. Observation, interviews, and documentation are the data collection techniques used in this study. The research subjects consisted of students and teachers at the elementary school level who implemented educational games in learning activities. The results showed that digital-based games demonstrated student engagement through learning activities that were more interesting, interactive, and in accordance with the characteristics of the digital generation. In addition, activities in digital games contributed to strengthening literacy skills, particularly through understanding instructions, reading texts, and completing story-based tasks. This study confirms that digital games can be an effective learning medium when used in a targeted manner and in accordance with learning objectives. This research is expected to serve as a reference for teachers and schools in developing innovative and contextual learning strategies.

Abstract

Abstrak: Matematika merupakan disiplin ilmu yang mengutamakan penalaran logika untuk memecahkan persoalan-persoalan yang kompleks. Hal tersebut membutuhkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau higher order thinking skill yang melibatkan ketrampilan yang kritis, analitis, kreatif, dan sistematis sehingga model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (teacher-centered) menghambat upaya siswa dalam melatih kemampuan kognitifnya. Metode scaffolding yang dicetuskan oleh psikolog Lev Vygotsky adalah salah satu metode yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika serta memenuhi persyaratan pendidikan Kurikulum 2013. Metode scaffolding mengintegrasikan upaya dua pihak dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar yakni guru dan murid secara optimal dan bertahap untuk mencapai hasil yang maksimal. Guru dapat memberikan bantuan kepada murid berupa pengetahuan dasar, petunjuk, dorongan dan peringatan pada tahap awal untuk memungkinkan murid belajar mandiri di tahap selanjutnya. Pembelajaran menggunakan metode scaffolding bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan siswa sekolah dasar dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Abstract

Humans are social creatures who need communication and interaction with fellow living things. The ability to communicate is very necessary because it can increase trust, good relations, and prevent a problem. If the communication skills are good, of course the language skills that someone has are also good. The research, entitled The Effect of using wayang golek media on storytelling skills in grade 5 elementary school students is a quantitative study. Quantitative research is research based on the philosophy of positivism, used to examine the population or sample according to Sugiono. This study uses Pre Experimental with the type of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Based on the results of the normality of the SPSS data analysis with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov  Z of 0.93 and Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.34 greater than 0.05 (0.34 > 0.05). So it can be concluded that the data obtained are normally distributed. In the homogeneity test, the results of the pretest and posttest were 0.768. Because the value of sig. 0.768 > 0.05, it can be concluded that the data variance is homogeneous. that there is a difference between before and after treatment. Because: p value < 0.05 (95% confidence). Mean: -0.6. Negative value: This means that there is a tendency for differences after treatment. So it can be stated that there is an effect of the use of wayang golek on the use of wayang golek on the storytelling ability of elementary school students. Keywords puppet show; storytelling ability
