Abstract

Kacang Jaruk is a traditional fermented food from Barabai, Hulu Sungai Tengah, South Kalimantan, possessing high cultural value but limited market performance due to weak branding, packaging, and digital marketing. This community service aimed to empower Kacang Jaruk Udi Barabai MSME through the “3 Pillars of Growth: Product-Story-Digital” Model. Using Participatory Action Research with a Pentahelix approach from March–June 2026, interventions included: 1) Local product education through GMP SOP development and PIRT legalization; 2) Storytelling via new packaging, QR Codes, and the “Satu Rasa Seribu Cerita” content series; 3) Digital collaboration with micro-influencers, resellers, and marketplace onboarding. Results showed production capacity increased from 15 kg to 40 kg/week, selling price rose by 46.7%, revenue grew 85% with 62% from online channels, and local employment was created. This model proves that integrating cultural values, brand narrative, and digital technology can elevate traditional food MSMEs from survival to growth. The approach is replicable for other culture-based local MSMEs.

Abstract

The study aims to investigate the moderating efect of social media in relationship of hedonic motives, impulsive tendency, and impulsive buying decision decision among Gen Z in subscription to Netflix Streaming Services. These research was conducted because the lact of research on the role of social media moderation and the mediating role of impulsive buying tendency is still rarely carried out, especially in terms of examining the factors that influence gen Y in choosing digital services such as TV streaming. These study used Gen Z who has been a subscriber of Netflix for 1 year in South Kalimantan as sample total of 187 respondents with purposive sampling as sampling method. The study used a quantitative research design and collected data through a survey questionnaire and analyzed with the Structural Equation Model – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results of this study found that hedonic motives and impulsive buying tendencies had an impact on Gen Z's impulse buying decision to choose Netflix as a digital streaming service. While social media moderated hedonic motives, this study also found that impulsive buying tendency affected mediated hedonic motives and impulse buying decisions. These results have a practical contribution and have scientific implications that can help better understand consumer behavior in the context of digital services, especially on TV streaming services. This study also led to further research in this field and contributed to the literature on social media, hedonic motives, impulsive decision-making, and impulsive tendency.

Abstract

This study investigated the role of gamification in fostering Customer Citizenship Behavior (CCB) within the digital coffee shop ecosystem in Malang City, East Java. The objective was to examine how gamification influenced CCB through perceived enjoyment and customer engagement, while digital literacy acted as a moderating variable. A quantitative research design was applied, and data were collected from 245 coffee enthusiasts who had experience using mobile applications integrated with gamified loyalty systems such as Fore Coffee and Kopi Kenangan. Structured questionnaires were distributed both online and offline, and responses were measured using a five-point Likert scale. The constructs included gamification, digital literacy, perceived enjoyment, customer engagement, and CCB. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), which tested direct, indirect, and sequential mediation effects, as well as moderation. The findings showed that gamification did not directly affect CCB but significantly enhanced perceived enjoyment, which subsequently increased customer engagement. Engagement emerged as the strongest predictor of CCB, confirming its role as a critical pathway for voluntary customer contributions. Digital literacy moderated the relationship between gamification and perceived enjoyment, indicating that user characteristics shaped how customers responded to gamified features.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service program aims to improve lecturers' competence in meta-analysis techniques using JASP software as an open-source and user-friendly alternative to SPSS. Methodology: A hybrid training program totaling 16 instructional hours was employed, attended by 32 lecturers from 28 private universities in East Java. The training materials covered problem formulation, data extraction, summary effect estimation, heterogeneity testing, and publication-bias detection. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, and post-training mentoring sessions. Results: The results showed a significant increase in the participants' knowledge from low to high. Most participants were able to independently perform all stages of the meta-analysis using JASP. The program outputs included 18 draft scientific articles that were ready for submission to reputable journals. Conclusions: JASP-based meta-analysis training is effective in enhancing private university lecturers’ capacity to conduct quantitative literature reviews and accelerate scientific publications. Limitations: This study has some limitations. JASP version 0.18.3 does not yet support three-level meta-analysis and network meta-analysis, which are increasingly being requested by tier-1 journals; therefore, collaboration with statisticians is still necessary for advanced topics. Contributions: This training model can be replicated to strengthen lecturers' research competence in other regions.
