Abstract

This study aimed to analyze: the level of profit and the gain difference of tomato’s lowland farming between members and nonmembers of the farmer group and the factors of production, production scale and efficiency of farm production of lowland tomatoes in both members and nonmembers of farmer group.  The number of respondents in this study was taken by cencus method, in which all 62 farmer members and all 35 farmer nonmembers were involved.   The research data was collected during October 2015 - January 2016 and was analyzed by R / C ratios, different test (independent t-test), multiple linear regression using the Cobb Douglas production function and NPM / Px ratio.  The results showed that tomato farming was profitable business and profitability of farmer group members was higher than nonmembers’ farmers.  Land and labor significantly affected the production of tomatoes.  Tomato farming of farmer group members currently on the scale of production decreased (decreasing returns to scale) and the nonmembers’ farmers that were in production scale fixed (constant return to scale).  The production process tomato farming of both farmer group members and nonmembers farmer groups were not yet efficient.Key Words: efficiency, profits, tomatoes

Abstract

This study aims to know the supply system of production facilities, profits, added value of turkey products (satay, meatballs and nuggets), marketing mix and marketing channels in addition to supporting institutions of turkey farming in Sukoharjo Village. This study was conducted in Mitra Alam Turkey Farming House in Sukoharjo Village Pringsewu District. The data was collected in April 2015 - June 2015 using the case study method and was analyzedby descriptive quantitative analysis and Hayami method for the added value. The results showed that almost all of the production facilities were own production which were consisted of cages, seed and feed, while drugs were obtained by purchasing. The profit of turkey farming for one production or month was Rp29,702,167.00 with R/C in cash costs to 1.76 and R/C on total cost of 1.70. The added value of turkey products (satay, meatballs and nuggets) showed the highest added value product was turkey meatballs with ratio 86.78 percent. Marketing channel of turkey farming consisted of two channels, first from producers to consumer and, secondly from manufacturers to retailers then to consumers. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the perception and its related factors, motivation and its correlation to perception, the attitudes and its correlation to motivation of consumers in buying fresh cabbage.  This research was conducted at Pasir Gintung Market in Bandar Lampung.  Research data was collected during month of February to March 2014.  The numbers of samples as many as 60 respondents were drawn by accidental sampling.  Research data was analyzed by correlation analysis of Rank Spearman and by quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis.  The results showed that the perception, motivation, and attitude of consumers in buying fresh cabbage were categorized as high criteria.   The internal factors (knowledge, habits, desires, needs, and income) and external factors (price, color, freshness, availability, expired time, hygiene and safety of the cabbage, convenience and service of the market) correlated to the perception of consumers in buying fresh cabbage at Pasir Gintung Market.  Consumers’ perception correlated to their motivation; whereas consumers’ motivation correlated to their attitudes in buying fresh cabbage at Pasir Gintung Market. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of business management towards the community and towards the benefits for the members, analyze internal and external environments, and develop some development strategies for KPT Maju Sejahtera. This research uses a case study method in KPT Maju Sejahtera, Tanjungsari District, South Lampung Regency. There were 12 respondents involved, consisting of 3 cooperative organizers, a cooperative supervisor, 5 cooperative members, an expert, and 2 regulators. Data analysis methods used are qualitative descriptive analysis, SWOT, and QSPM. Results showed the performance of cooperative business management is included in qualified category. The performance of cooperative towards the community and benefits for the members is included in quite-qualified category. Internally, the main strength was cooperative form partnerships with other legal entities. The main weakness was the low participation of members in using the services of cooperative business units. Externally, the main opportunity was there were no similar competitors in cattle breeding, and the main threat was the low interest of breeders to join as cooperative members. The priority strategies that can be used in developing KPT Maju Sejahtera are: (a) increase the production volume and quality of cooperative products using processing equipment and machines, (b) create processed beef products to increase added value and business unit activities, and (c) intensify communication with members to increase their participation.Key words: agriculture cooperative, development strategy, performance analysis

Abstract

This research aims to analyze: whether the oyster mushroom farm in Lampung Province profitable or not, and the efficiency of oyster mushroom marketing system in a conventional manner and the network inLampung Province. The research was conducted in Lampung Province especially in Bandar Lampung and Metro City. The research location was chosen on purpose. The farmer respondents were chosen by censusand the imtermediatory marketing institution was taken by following the marketing’s flow. The data was collected in January-August 2013. The research results showed that oyster mushroom farming in LampungProvince was profitable for oyster mushroom farmers in which R/C ratio of the cash costs was 1.95 and R/C ratio of the total cost was 1.29. The efficiency of oyster mushroom marketing were as follows: (a) market structure formed in conventional manner was oligopsony, while the network marketing was oligopoly; (b) market behavior: oyster mushroom farmers, both conventional and network marketing sold their crops and be paid in cash. (c) Marketing oyster mushroom by forming a group of network marketing upline and downline network had relatively much benefit than the conventional one.Keywords: conventional marketing, network marketing, oyster mushroom

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze procurement process of raw materials that correspond to six right on (time, place, quality, quantity, type, and price), added value and income of onion cracker processing activities, marketing mix, distribution channels, marketing margins, and the role of support services. This research was a case study method at onion cracker agroindustry in Tanjung Senang Sub-district of Bandar Lampung City. The data collection was conducted in January - February 2018 and was analyzed by qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the procurement of raw materials had not fulfilled price component. The production performance of the agroindustry was not good because it had not fulfilled the flexibility component. The agroindustry revenue was considered good because the value of R/C ratio was > 1 and given added value was positive. The marketing strategy of the agroindustry has used the 4P marketing mix component, in which product and price were well, while the place and promotion component have not been used optimally. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the economic and noneconomic benefits received by the members, the participation level of cooperative members and affecting factors. This research was purposively conducted at KSP Subur Makmur Sejahtera, Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung Regency from January to February 2018 with 48 respondents randomly taken by using Simple Random Sampling method. Data were collected by using a survey method and were analyzed descriptively using Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Seemingly Unrelated Regressions (SUR). The results showed that the average of economic benefits received was Rp789,05.,62 per year, and noneconomic benefits received as the satisfaction level of cooperative members was classified at the level of satisfied members. The participation level of the cooperative members attending annual meeting, paying compulsory savings, and utilizing the cooperative enterprises were each considered as average, low, and high category. Factors which affected members to participate in attending annual meeting were age, formal and nonformal education, the number of dependent family members, noneconomic benefits, distance, and members’ perception. Mean while formal education, noneconomic benefits, and distance affected the participation level of compulsory savings payment.  Lastly, ages, formal and nonformal education, the number of dependent family members, economic benefits, and distance affected the utilization of cooperative enterprises.Key words : cooperative, members, benefits, participation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process production of sausage noodle roll, the income and production costs, the marketing action and determine the position based on the life cycle of sausage noodle roll as well learn the role of supporting service for sausage noodle roll in CV Cucurutuku Ceria. This research method is a case study. The determination of consumer samples is taken by Convenience Sampling. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The data of this study was collected in May 2019 until June 2019. The results showed that the value R/C>1, that means sausage noodle roll business was profitable. Calculation of the cost of production on sausage rolls noodles amounted to Rp1,046.53. The BEP unit calculation has been achieved for a long time, in the amount of 42,791 units from the BEP calculation of 604 units. The noodle rolls sausage has also obtained a profit from the selling price of Rp ,000.00 per pcs from the calculation of the BEP price of Rp1,238.58 per pcs. The marketing mix that has been utilized by CV Cucurutuku Ceria is collaboration with e-commerce companies namely gofood and grabfood to facilitate consumers in the ordering process and CV Cucurutuku Ceria has utilized social media as promotional activities for sausage noodle roll product. In the product life cycle, sausage noodle roll are in a stage of decline. CV Cucurutuku Ceria has not fully utilized the government policies regarding the protection and empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.Keywords: cost, noodle, position, and sausage

Abstract

This study purposes are to analyze factors that affect production of pineapple  farming, production efficiency of pineapple farming, and cost structure of pineapple farming.  Data were collected at Astomulyo Village Punggur Subdistrict Central Lampung Regency in December 2019 – February 2020.  The number of respondents was 63 farmers consisting of 58 farmers who were members of farmer groups and the rest were non-members of farmer groups by using simple random sampling.  The primary data were obtained from direct interview with the pineapple farmers and the secondary data were obtained from several related studies and institutions.  The data were analyzed using Stochastic Frontier production function.  The study shows the factors affecting the production of pineapple farming are land area, C/N ratio, N element, and P element.  The pineapple farming is technically, allocatively, and economically efficient yet.  The biggest costs on pineapple farming are costs of seed, land lease, and labor.Key words: costs, efficiency, farmers, pineapple

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze the financial feasibility and the sensitivity of laying hens farming.  The research was a case study at Takihara Farm in Natar Subdistrict of South Lampung Regency.  Data were collected in August 2020 and analyzed by using financial feasibility and sensitivity analysis methods.  The results showed that laying hens farming was financially profitable and feasible to be developed.  The NPV of laying hens farming was IDR10,131,628,683.22.  The Gross B/C value of laying hens farming was 1.15.  The Net B/C value of laying hens farming was 2.17.  The Payback Period value of laying hens farming was 13.81 years, showing that the initial cash outflow of investment could be recovered less than 30 years.  The IRR value of laying hens farming was 13.84 percent, which was greater than interest rate 6 percent.  Based on the results of the sensitivity analysis, with an assumption of an increase in the production costs of corn as a feed ingredient for laying hens by 10.73 percent and a decrease in the selling price of chicken eggs by 12.44 percent, the business of laying hens farming is still worth cultivated and developed.Key words : financial, laying hens, sensitivity
