Abstract

This research is motivated by the role of librarians in increasing students' reading interest motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey. The purpose of this study is to determine the procurement of collections, extend service hours, tutoring and spatial arrangements available in the library in motivating students' reading interest and knowing the role of librarians in motivating students' reading interest. The theory used in this study is Abraham Maslow's Theory of Motivation. This theory suggests that basically all humans have basic needs. Self-actualization needs cognitive needs knowing, understanding, and exploring, aesthetic needs of harmony, order, and beauty. The conclusion of this study is that the role of librarians in increasing students' reading interest motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey. With the role of librarians in procuring collections, it is certainly very useful for students and teachers who often visit the library. In addition, the extension of service hours will greatly assist students in borrowing or returning books. With tutoring, it really helps students in getting information, motivation in reading. As well as the influence of library spatial arrangements greatly affect users and librarians. In addition, the role of librarians is very important to help students in motivating students' reading interest. Keyword: librarian role, motivation, reading interest, SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peran pustakawan dalam meningkatkan motivasi minat membaca siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengadaan koleksi, perpanjangan jam layanan, bimbingan belajar dan penataan ruang yang tersedia di perpustakaan dalam memotivasi minat baca siswa dan mengetahui peran pustakawan dalam memotivasi minat membaca siswa. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Motivasi Abraham Maslow. Teori ini mengemukakan bahwa pada dasarnya semua manusia mempunyai kebutuhan dasar. Aktualisasi diri membutuhkan kebutuhan kognitif mengetahui, memahami, dan mengeksplorasi, kebutuhan estetis akan keselarasan, keteraturan, dan keindahan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah peran pustakawan dalam meningkatkan motivasi minat membaca siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey. Dengan adanya peran pustakawan dalam pengadaan koleksi tentunya sangat bermanfaat bagi siswa dan guru yang sering berkunjung ke perpustakaan. Selain itu, perpanjangan jam layanan akan sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam peminjaman atau pengembalian buku. Dengan adanya bimbingan belajar sangat membantu siswa dalam mendapatkan informasi, motivasi dalam membaca. Serta pengaruh penataan ruang perpustakaan sangat mempengaruhi pengguna dan pustakawan. Selain itu peran pustakawan sangat penting untuk membantu siswa dalam memotivasi minat membaca siswa.

Abstract

Bandung City Archives and Library Service carries out library promotion activities using Instagram social media. However, the level of visits and borrowing of library collections at Bandung City Archives and Library Service tends to be little and the visualization and content on Instagram social media is not very attractive, tending to frequently upload content regarding official activities. So that promotion of the library has not fully been able to generate desire and has not been optimal enough to attract audiences in generating visits and utilizing library facilities. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the use of social media Instagram as a library promotional medium in increasing the number of visitors and the number of borrowing library collections at Bandung City Archives and Library Service using AIDA model. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the use of social media Instagram as a promotional medium for the library of Bandung City Archives and Library Service had achieved an AIDA model, namely being able to attract attention, maintain interest, generate desire, and generate action. So that Instagram social media as a library promotion media has succeeded in increasing the number of visitors and the number of borrowing library collections at Bandung City Archives and Library Service. Keywords: instagram social media, library promotion, AIDA ABSTRAK Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung melakukan kegiatan promosi perpustakaan dengan menggunakan media sosial Instagram. Tetapi tingkat kunjungan dan peminjaman koleksi perpustakaan di Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung cenderung sedikit dan visualisasi serta konten pada media sosial Instagram belum terlalu menarik, cenderung sering mengunggah konten mengenai kegiatan dinas. Sehingga promosi perpustakaan belum sepenuhnya dapat menimbulkan keinginan dan belum cukup optimal menarik khalayak dalam menghasilkan tindakan berkunjung dan memanfaatkan fasilitas perpustakaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan media sosial Instagram sebagai media promosi perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung serta jumlah peminjaman koleksi perpustakaan di Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung menggunakan model AIDA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial Instagram sebagai media promosi perpustakaan Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung telah mencapai model AIDA yaitu dapat menarik perhatian, mempertahankan ketertarikan, menimbulkan keinginan, dan menghasilkan tindakan. Sehingga media sosial Instagram sebagai media promosi perpustakaan berhasil meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung serta jumlah peminjaman koleksi perpustakaan di Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung.

Abstract

Good furniture can certainly make users feel comfortable, safe, and free from any complaints or discomfort while carrying out activities. Therefore, there is a need for ergonomic furniture that can support the activities of library managers and library users. This research aims to determine the availability of furniture for library managers and users using the ENASE ergonomic approach at the Dinas Perpustakaan and Arsip of Bandung Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The objects of this research are the furniture for library managers and library users, including work desks and chairs, as well as reading desks and chairs. The subjects of this research are three librarians, two library staff members, three library users, and head of library management division. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process in this research includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The validation of the research results is using members check. The results of the research show that the desks and chairs used by library managers and reading desks for library users available at the Dinas Perpustakaan and Arsip of Bandung Regency, can be considered ergonomic since they satisfy four out of the five aspects: effective, comfort, safety, and efficiency. However, the aspect of health remains unfulfilled due to ongoing complaints expressed by the library manager regarding the usage of the available work facilities, which do not meet the standards outlined in PERMENKES No. 48 of 2016. The health aspect is also not fully met for reading desks used by library users, as there are still complaints and discomfort experienced by users when using the furniture. However, Dinas Perpustakaan and Arsip of Bandung Regency has provided alternative options so users can adjust the furniture they will use.

Abstract

The book data registered was 541 copies, including 503 copies of books that were slightly damaged and 38 copies of books that were heavily damaged due to human factors in the adult reading room. damage to books due to human factors, often read by users so that the books are damaged or scratched. This research discusses the prevention of Bibliocrime and the competence of librarians in preventing Bibliocrime. The aim of this research is to determine the soft competence of librarians in terms of achievements and actions, customer service orientation, self-control in physical, electronic and procedural forms to prevent bibliocrime in the Regional Library and Archives Service of West Java Province. The research method in this research is that the researcher uses the constructivism paradigm in his research paradigm. The method used uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The theory used uses Spencer & Spencer. The results of the research show that librarians at the West Java Province Regional Library and Archives Service already have librarian soft competence in preventing bibliocrime in library collections in physical, electronic and procedural forms. However, the librarian's soft competence when viewed from the aspects of achievement and action, customer service orientation, and self-control is still at a low level. increasing the soft competence of librarians in dealing with bibliocrime by conducting comparative studies, attending seminars and holding FGDs on topics related to bibliocrime.

Abstract

Abstrak Fokus penelitian ini adalah perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa Politeknik Pajajaran Insan Cinta Bangsa Bandung dalam menghadapi tantangan informasi di era digital. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi cara mahasiswa mencari, mengevaluasi, dan memanfaatkan informasi yang mereka butuhkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa, dosen, dan staf, sedangkan objeknya adalah perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkategorikan dan menginterprestasikan informasi yang diperoleh untuk menemukan pola dan tema yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa cenderung mengandalkan internet dan media sosial sebagai sumber utama informasi, namun mereka sering mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan informasi yang valid dari yang tidak akurat. Kesimpulan penelitian menekankan pentingnya literasi informasi dan kemampuan analisis kritis bagi mahasiswa dalam memilih sumber informasi. Saran yang diberikan mencakup perlunya institusi pendidikan untuk mengadakan program pelatihan literasi informasi dan menyediakan akses ke sumber informasi yang lebih kredibel, agar mahasiswa dapat menjadi pencari informasi yang lebih efektif dan bertanggung jawab dalam menghadapi tantangan informasi yang ada. Abstract The focus of this research was the information-seeking behavior of students at Politeknik Pajajaran Insan Cinta Bangsa Bandung in addressing the challenges of information in the digital era. The purpose of the study was to identify how students searched for, evaluated, and utilized the information they needed. The research method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study consisted of students, lecturers, and staff, while the object was the students' information-seeking behavior. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis was conducted by categorizing and interpreting the information obtained to identify relevant patterns and themes. The results of the study showed that students tended to rely on the internet and social media as their primary sources of information, but they often struggled to distinguish valid information from inaccurate ones. The conclusion of the research highlighted the importance of information literacy and critical analysis skills for students in selecting information sources. The recommendations provided included the need for educational institutions to organize information literacy training programs and provide access to more credible information sources so that students could become more effective and responsible information seekers in addressing current information challenges.

Abstract

Reputation is considered a powerful weapon essential in maintaining and preserving an organization's existence. It is also seen as a guarantor for achieving growth amidst turbulence and intense competition among service providers, including in the education sector. School administrators fully recognize the importance of reputation for the existence and growth of educational institutions, but not all of them manage it properly. This study aims to explain the formation of school reputation and analyze the importance of massive implementation of school reputation management. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research found that all the top, famous, prestigious, and highly reputable high schools in Bandung have not formally integrated reputation as a strategic component, as indicated by the absence of discourse on implementing school reputation management in their environments. So far, reputation management has been natural, not based on strategic plans and tactical measures to counter potential crises that every organization might face. Effective reputation management is crucial for the existence and advancement of leading schools, involving reputational communication strategies, institutional messaging through programs and interactive media, and feedback management to build and maintain the school's reputation.

Abstract

One of the obstacles faced by the government in socializing policies or conveying performance is information and technology problems. IT is an important thing that must be considered in services during the current pandemic. Wangunjaya Village is one of the villages in Naringgul District, Cianjur Regency which is considered ready to face the digital era. One of the achievements obtained by Wangunjaya Village is the ownership of an informative website. The process involved is certainly long and involves many parties. However, there is no guarantee that the success achieved by Wangunjaya Village will continue continuously. There is a need to develop competence in the services of village officials. The aim is to increase the competence of service activities during the pandemic in digital-based services, village administration management must be managed well and increase competence, implementation and supervision when handling a pandemic outbreak requires a special service and is followed by health protocols, even services are carried out using mobile center which is carried out using digital services online and even receiving services via telephone. Development of Digital-Based Village Service Competency in Wangunjaya Village, Naringgul District, Cianjur Regency is able to improve the quality of village apparatus resources and service competency in providing services to the community during the current pandemic. Especially services related to village administration and health services to the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the challenges society faced in filtering valid information in the digital era, especially among young people. The YouTube channel @gurugembul played an important role in improving media literacy through the delivery of interactive educational content. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the @gurugembul YouTube channel delivered educational information using an interactive virtual communication approach. The method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design, which involved interviews with content creators and document analysis of the videos produced. The findings showed that the @gurugembul YouTube channel successfully selected relevant topics and presented them in a relaxed and easily understandable communication style, which encouraged active audience participation. The study concluded that interactive and educational communication approaches enhanced the audience's understanding of important social issues. This research contributed to the field of education by providing insights into the use of digital platforms in the learning process and effective communication strategies to improve media literacy among young people. Recommendations for further research were also made, focusing on the long-term impact of audience interaction with educational content.

Abstract

Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) sebagai Satuan Pendidikan Nonformal, dan Homeschooling dari sisi informal, berkembang relatif pesat. Penyelenggara dihadapkan pada situasi kompetitif, sementara tantangan pengelolaannya dituntut lebih baik dan Professional. Penyelenggaraan pendidikan melalui PKBM dan Homeschooling dikelola dengan baik, namun pada umumnya lebih berorientasi pada aspek operasional dan teknis. Renstra menjadi penting. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendalami: apakah perencanaan strategis dilakukan satuan pendidikan nonformal dan informal? Serta, mengapa dan bagaimana penerapannya? Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menerapkan metode studi kasus terkait penyelenggaraan pendidikan nonformal dan informal. Fenomena, peristiwa dan keadaan yang diteliti dijelaskan secara natural atau ‘sebagaimana adanya’. Obyek penelitian dan sumber data adalah PKBM Minda Utama pada Pendidikan Kesetaraan dan Homeschooling Millenial Unggul di kota Bandung. Satuan pendidikan nonformal dan informal, dalam hal ini PKBM dan Homeschooling, telah melakukan inisiatif yang kuat dalam menyusun rencana penyelenggaraan pendidikan, namun lebih berorientasi pada aspek operasional dan teknis serta dalam rentang waktu pendek. Lembaga atau satuan pendidikan belum melakukan perancanaan stratejik untuk dirinya, sehingga perlu inisiatif berbasis konseptual akademis untuk menghasilkan renstra yang tepat dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Diperlukan perbaikan langkah dan muatan pemikiran dalam menyusun renstra sesuai pada satuan/lembaga PNF dan Informal. Dalam posisi, peran dan fungsinya yang strategis, satuan pendidikan nonformal dan informal kini perlu mencanangkan tujuan jangka panjang dan strategi untuk berkinerja superior dan memiliki keunggulan kompetitif agar bertumbuh-kembang.

Abstract

Manajemen Data mencakup semua kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan data selain penggunaan langsung dari data, termasuk organisasi data; back up data; pengarsipan data; berbagi data dan penerbitan; menjamin keamanan data rahasia dan sinkronisasi data. Kegiatan manajemen data adalah suatu kegiatan penting yang dilakukan oleh individu ataupun organisasi terhadap data agar mudah di akses, aman dan tersedia bagi user/ pemakainya. Kegiatan manajemen data di ASEAN Youth Friendship Network dilakukan oleh Project officer karena berkenaan dan berhubungan langsung dalam proses manajerial data, penyimpanan, dan pengolahan data untuk mendapatkan metadata. Proses manajemen data yang dilakukan AYFN terdiri atas lima tahapan yakni perencanaan (planning), pengumpulan (collecting), pengolahan (processing), organisasi data (organizing), penyajian dan penyampaian (presentation). ABSTRACTData Management covers all activities related to data other than direct use of data, including data organization; back up data; data archiving; data sharing and publishing; ensure confidential data security and data synchronization. Data management activities are an important activity carried out by individuals or organizations on data so that they are easy to access, secure and available to the user / user. Data management activities in the ASEAN Youth Friendship Network are carried out by Project officers because they pertain to and relate directly to data managerial processes, data storage and processing to obtain metadata. The data management process carried out by AYFN consists of five stages, namely planning, collecting, processing, data organization, presentation and presentation.
