Abstract

The implementation of Virtual Laboratory in learning is a 21st century media that is expected to be able to help students master abstract and arithmetic chemistry material. Supported by the PBL learning model, this media is expected to be able to develop students' skills to become independent learners through solving the problems given, so that it is expected to improve student learning outcomes. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest design, in order to determine the effect of applying the PBL learning model using virtual laboratory media on students' chemistry learning outcomes. The test instrument supported by observation was analyzed for differences in effect using the t-test. The results showed the significant difference in student learning outcomes, at a significant level of 5% which indicated the influence of virtual laboratory media on the application of the PBL learning model on students' chemistry learning outcomes in the matter of reaction rates, with an effect coefficient of 7.8%.Keywords : Problem Based Learning, Virtual Chemistry Laboratory, Reaction Rate

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan analisis penelitian mengenai Identifikasi Kesulitan Materi Kimia Bagi Siswa SMA dalam Mengetahui kesulitan pada materi kimia di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Studi literatur ini akan mengadopsi pendekatan Systematic Literature Review berdasarkan model PRISMA. Peneliti telah menganalisis artikel yang membahas tentang materi penelitian kesulitan kimia yang ada di SMA yang telah diterbitkan dalam rentang lima tahun terakhir, yaitu 2019 hingga 2023. Pencarian artikel akan terfokus pada basis data Google Scholar, Publis or perish dan Research Gate. Peneliti akan menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan kesulitan belajar dalam konteks pembelajaran kimia. Selanjutnya, penulis akan mengumpulkan jurnal-jurnal yang telah mendapatkan akreditasi dari sinta dan jurnal review untuk dilakukan analisis mendalam dengan harapan dapat menghasilkan temuan materi kimia yang dianggap sulit adalah Materi yang bersifat abstrak, seperti Struktur Atom, Sistem Periodik Unsur, Ikatan Kimia dan Larutan Penyangga sedangkan yang bersifat perhitungan terdapat materi Termokimia. Dari metode penelitian yang paling banyak digunakan menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif mendominasi, menunjukkan bahwa analisis data kuantitatif pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan strategi.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran kimia yang bersifat abstrak membutuhkan dukungan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu peserta didik memvisualisasikan pemahamannya dengan lebih menarik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian SLR (Systematic Literature Riview) media yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan media komik yang dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia. Media pembelajaran komik ini dapat menjadi alternatif solusi ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media komik digital dan cetak yang banyak di desain adalah untu kimia kelas X terutama materi ikatan kimia dengan kuantitas penelitian sebanyak 10%. Disamping itu ada materi lain seperti Reaksi Reduksi dan Oksidasi 8%, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit 5% dan lain-lain. Seluruh media komik yang dikembangkan ternyata mempunyai pengaruh positif pada pembelajaran kimia dapat meningkatkan hasil dan minat belajar siswa. Adapun topik materi kimia yang sulit untuk dibuat komik adalah materi yang bersifat hitungan dan yang paling sering bersifat abstrak.

Abstract

[ Development of Chemistry Workbook Based on Science Generic Skill ] Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kurangnya ketersediaan bahan ajar yang dapat membantu peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dan belum adanya penggunaan LKPD berbasis keterampilan generic sains. Dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan LKPD berbasis Keterampilan Generik Sains untuk mendukung pembelajaran pada materi larutan penyangga. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan desain Borg and Gall, yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Tambang. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa data angket, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa data angket uji validitas dan angket uji praktikalitas. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang dihasilkan telah teruji valid dengan persentase 86,88% (sangat valid) dan teruji praktis dengan persentase 89,09% (Sangat Praktis). Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berbasis keterampilan generik sains pada materi larutan penyangga sudah valid dan praktis sehingga dapat dilakukan uji coba selanjutnya

Abstract

ABSTRACT The learning with experiment activities in the laboratory could increase students' critical thinking ability, but there were some obstacles in its implementation such as a lack of practical work tools in the laboratory.  To overcome it, it was used a learning media that could show practical work virtually.  This research aimed to know the difference in critical thinking ability between students taught by using a learning method with virtual laboratory and those who were taught by using conventional learning, and the effectiveness of learning using virtual laboratory toward student critical thinking.  The experimental method was used in this research with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique.  The techniques of analyzing the data were t-test to know the difference in student critical thinking and N-gain test to know the effectiveness level.  The research findings showed that there was a difference in critical thinking ability between students of experimental and control groups, the posttest mean score of critical thinking ability of the experimental group was 81.91 and the control group was 75.22, this difference could also be seen from the calculation result of t-test that the significance score 0.002 was lower than 0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted; effective learning.  It was proven by the obtained N-gain score of each student in the experimental group, 28 students were in the high N-gain category with 93.33% percentage and 2 students who were in the medium N-gain category with 6.67% percentage.

Abstract

This article's goal is to present the goals of science education at the high school level that are incorporated with Islamic principles. The study identifies some of the learning objectives that are prioritized in the context of integrating science and Islam. Understanding scientific ideas within the context of Islam, developing moral and ethical principles, comprehending the connection between science and religion, and fortifying one's Islamic identity are the main objectives of education. The findings demonstrate that the integrated approach allows students to deepen their grasp of science and increase their awareness of Islam.

Abstract

Keterampilan dalam analisis diperlukan untuk memahami penjelasan fenomena dengan bantuan percobaan ilmiah di bidang kimia. Diperlukan pendekatan dengan tujuan memperbaiki keterampilan analisis siswa melalui eksperimen, dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran percobaan virtual. Penelitian ini mengarah pada penilaian efektivitas belajar menggunakan sarana simulasi digital terhadap keterampilan berpikir analitis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode quasi-experiment (desain kelompok kontrol yang tidak setara). Metode pengumpulan data melibatkan tes uraian, dengan data yang disertai analisis uji t dan N-gain. Analisis uji t, nilai signifikansi yang tercatat adalah 0.002, kurang dari 0.05, mengakibatkan penolakan terhadap Ho dan penerimaan Ha. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan dalam kemampuan analitis antara siswa yang menggunakan media simulasi digital dan mereka yang tidak menggunakannya. Adapun pada uji N-gain, ditemukan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen, terdapat siswa dengan rata-rata nilai yang berada di kategori tinggi, sedangkan di kelas kontrol, tidak terdapat peserta didik yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dari hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media simulasi digital pada pembelajaran terbukti mampu secara efektif meningkatkan kapasitas analitis peserta didik. Media simulasi percobaan maya ini dapat membantu dalam proses pembelajaran, mempermudah kegiatan praktikum, dianggap menyenangkan, dan lebih mudah dipahami. Dengan demikian, media ini berpengaruh pada peningkatan kemampuan analitis peserta didik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari identifikasi permasalahan pada peserta didik adalah sebagai upaya untuk menemukan penyebab masalah yang dialami siswa saat melakukan praktikum. Riset ini dilaksanakan di enam sekolah Madrasah Aliyah Swasta di Kota Pekanbaru dengan menggunakan metode survei, pendekatan kualitatif, dan rancangan penelitian dengan Cross-sectional Survey Design. Populasi penelitian melibatkan sejumlah 137 siswa yang dipilih melalui metode random sampling. Instrumen yang dipakai mencakup observasi, kuesioner, serta melakukan wawancara dengan siswa dan guru guna memperkuat data yang telah dikumpulkan. Indikator penyebab kesulitan internal dalam kegiatan praktikum kimia mencakup motivasi, minat, perhatian, kesehatan, keterampilan praktis yang lemah, serta pemahaman konsep yang kurang, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Faktor eksternal yang berkontribusi terhadap kesulitan tersebut meliputi sarana dan prasarana yang tidak memadai, kualitas pengajaran guru, serta kurikulum yang kurang sesuai. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan dukungan kepada sekolah dan guru dalam mengatasi kendala yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran kimia berbasis praktikum di Madrasah Aliyah.

Abstract

The diverse characteristics of chemistry materials require attention to the needs of one of them, namely the tendency of learning styles that students have, for that learning style is something that needs to be studied in relation to students' cognitive abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning styles and chemistry cognitive abilities of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kampar students. Learning style data obtained from questionnaire scores, interviews and observations of students, the value of cognitive abilities obtained from the test results of students' chemistry cognitive abilities on atomic structure material. subject of this research is Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kampar students, while the object of research is the relationship between learning styles with students' cognitive abilities in chemistry subjects. The sample in this study was taken from class X IPA 1 which amounted to 30 people.. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done through observation, questionnaires, interviews, tests, documentation. The results of this study indicate that students with visual learning style tendencies are more than audio learning style tendencies followed by kinesthetic learning style tendencies and students with visual learning style tendencies on atomic structure material have better cognitive ability scores. Furthermore, the data from the observation of the relationship between learning styles and students' chemistry cognitive abilities were tested using product moment correlation. The results of data processing obtained rxy = 0.838 > rt = 0.361, this means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So that there is a positive and significant correlation between the learning style variable and the variable cognitive abilities of students in chemistry subjects Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kampar

Abstract

This research was instigated by chemistry learning media at Islamic Senior High School of Anshor Al-Sunnah Air Tiris that were not various especially on Chemical Element lesson. This research aimed at developing valid and practical Contextual Teaching and Learning based on Chemimagz learning media. It was a Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) model. This research was administered at the Islamic Senior High School of Anshor Al-Sunnah Air Tiris. The subjects of this research were 2 validators (the experts in media and material), a chemistry subject teacher, and 10 students at the Islamic Senior High School of Anshor Al-Sunnah Air Tiris. Interview, validation, and practicality test questionnaires were the techniques of collecting the data. The data obtained were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive tests. The research findings showed that the validity level was 90% by the expert of media (very valid) and 88.42% by the expert of material (very valid), the practicality level was 89.33% by a chemistry subject teacher (very practical), and 90.1% by 10 students (very practical). Based on the research findings, it could be concluded that the availability of Contextual Teaching and Learning based Chemimagz learning media on Chemical Element lesson was valid and practical to be a learning media, and it could be used as an alternative learning resource.
