Abstract

The background of this research is regarding the influence of peers on students' learning interest. The influence of friendships and social activities of students with peers can be said to be quite strong, because in this phase the amount of time individuals spend with their peers is more than with their parents or family. The aim of this study was to find out whether there is peer influence on students' learning interest at Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru Vocational School. This type of research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation and interviews. After considering the data and discussion, it was found that the F test yielded F_tab = 4.00 and F_hit = 15.470. Since F_hit is greater than F_tab, we can conclude that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on this statement, the research hypothesis is accepted. In addition, the influence of Peers on Students' Interest in Learning is at a moderate level. Based on the results of the calculation above, it is explained that the value of the relationship (R) is 0.447. From the output, it is obtained a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.20 which implies that the independent variable (Peers) to the dependent variable (Student Learning Interest) is 20.0%. Based on the results and discussion in this study, it can be concluded that peers have a positive influence on student learning interest at Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru Vocational School.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low student motivation caused by the parents' parenting role. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of parenting style on students' learning motivation at MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, where the data collection instrument used is a questionnaire with a total of 30 item statement items distributed to 51 respondents. Based on the results of statistical calculations, Fcount (41.546) Ftable (4.04) means that Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the acquisition linear regression equation, namely Y = 10.828 + 0.609X, it means that if the parenting style (X) has increased by 1, then student learning motivation (Y) has increased by 0.609. So that it can be interpreted from the results of the F test that there is an influence between the X variable on the Y variable, meaning that Ha is accepted, namely: There is an influence of parenting style on student learning motivation at MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena sikap apatis dikalangan mahasiswa yang secara nyata menggerus karakter kepemimpinan mahasiswa sebagai Iron Stock atau aset tangguh yang akan melanjutkan estafet kepemimpinan pada masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh pelatihan program Civic Education Leadership (CEL) terhadap aktualisasi nilai-nilai kepemimpinan mahasiswa Program studi PPKn FKIP Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif kausal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di program studi PPKn FKIP Universitas Riau, dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan analisis data statistik IBM SPSS Version 25. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai  (11,23) ≥  (1,65), dimana hal tersebut menunjukkan hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Selanjutnya diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,43. berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan pengaruh pelatihan CEL terhadap aktualisasi nilai kepemimpinan mahasiswa PPKn FKIP Universitas Riau sebesar 43% berada pada tingkat ”Sedang”.

Abstract

Adanya peranan prestasi dalam mengikuti organisasi Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa di Universitas Riau Tentang bagaimana cara pengurus membagi waktu antara belajar dengan ikut organisasi. penulis dapat merumuskan permasalahan dalam penelitian adalah menganalisis Peningkatan Prestasi Mahasiswa Selama Mengikuti Organisasi (Studi Kasus Pengurus BEM Universitas Riau Kabinet Revitalisasi Perubahan Periode 2022-2023). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah guna mengetahui prestasi akademik pengurus Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas Riau. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian kali ini ada (8 Orang) yakni informan utama presiden mahasiswa dan wakil presiden mahasiswa beserta Menteri dan anggotanya. Teknis analisis data dalam penelitian kali ini adalah menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa terdapat cara pengurus dalam membagi waktunya antara waktu belajar dengan organisasi yang sejauh ini sangat baik antara keduanya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of principal's leadership on social science teachers’ performance. The research was conducted in Pelalawan Regency taking Social Science teachers in Pelalawan Regency as the research subjects. The method used was a survey with quantitative techniques. The research sample was 150 Pelalawan Regency teachers selected using random sampling technique. The instrument used to collect data was a set of questionnaires used to quantify the school principal leadership level. Data of teachers’ performance were gathered from the teachers’ competency test (UKG) data. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant and positive influence of the principal's leadership on the performance of social science teachers at SMPN Pelalawan. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the improvement of the performance of school principals and social science teachers in Pelalawan Regency.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the Block Model which is 1 of 3 models in implementing mandatory scouting in schools. This model must be carried out once a year for all students. In general, schools more often carry out extramural or outdoor block-style activities, better known as block camps. However, it is quite sad that there is no research or evaluation of the implementation of this system, which should require a control in order to assess whether the block camp system can still be relevant to be implemented or routinely carried out every year, especially in improving disciplinary attitudes for students so that researchers want to take a role and become an angler as proof and evaluation of the implementation of the block camp. This research method uses quantitative methods with a statistical approach. The data collection instrument used in this research was a questionnaire consisting of 29 statement items. The population in this study was 278 people and the sample taken in this study was 25% of the total population to 69 informants, namely class XI using the Proportional Random Sampling Technique. Based on the results of research on the influence of block camp on the discipline of class XI at the Ikasari Pharmacy Vocational School, Pekanbaru, it can be concluded that: There is an influence of block camp on the discipline of class XI students at the Ikasari Pharmacy Vocational School, Pekanbaru.

Abstract

In order to meet the challenge of 21st-century skills, every human resource must be prepared with complex problem-solving skills. Colleges, particularly state colleges in Pekanbaru City, have a vested interest in helping their students develop 21st-century skills. To overcome these problems, we need a 21st-century approach for college students, particularly Riau University students. No one has yet evaluated the long-term viability of the use of 21st-century talents at Riau University. As a result, the author is interested in doing research to develop a strategy to improve students' 21st-century abilities at the University of Riau. The study was conducted solely on Riau University students. The Simple Random Sampling Technique was used to choose the samples. Riau University has a total of 35.785 students spread across the faculty. Based on the necessary sample size chart, the number of samples necessary is 654, with a confidence rating of 99% and a margin of error of 5%. As the results of the analysis, it is possible to identify multidimensional sustainability status at a value of 74.88, where this value is in the range of 50,01–75,00, with a fairly sustainable category. This condition gives the idea that the updating of 21st-century skills by students at Riau University is only in a sufficient category, or, in a state of warning to stakeholders. Riau University can ensure that its students not only have strong academic knowledge but also have the relevant and necessary skills to cope with the complex dynamics of the 21st century by implementing robust strategies and involving all stakeholders.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in the field, namely at Al-Fityah IT Middle School Pekanbaru. Based on observations made, there is a lack of maximum implementation in the learning model, learning only focuses on the material presented by the teacher, and the learning model is still conventional. This research is a quantitative research experimental design formulating the problem of associative causal relationships. The population in this study was all 41 students in class IX of SMP IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. The sample size in this study was 41 students with the data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, and documentation, data processing was carried out using IBM SPSS Version 16. Analysis of this research used the normality test, homogeneity test, t test, and n-gain test. score. The results of the t test show that tcount > ttable or 3.344 > 1.685, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem-Based Collaborative Learning Model on Student Learning Creativity. With an achievement of 69.33% in the experimental class and 40.47% in the control class. Keywords :

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine whether there is an influence of the small group discussion method on students' critical thinking skills in the Civics Class VIII SMP IT Al-Fityah subject. This research is experimental research using a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 51 students, where samples were taken randomly (drawing lots), namely two classes were taken to become the experimental class (VIII B) with 25 students and the control class (VIII A) with 26 students. The data collection instruments used were questionnaires, observations and data processing documentation using the help of IBS SPSS. This research analysis uses prerequisite tests, namely descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, T test, and N-Gain test. The results of the T test show that the value of Fcount > Ftable or 2.418 > 1676. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the small group discussion method on students' critical thinking skills. The N-Gain test obtained in the experimental class was 65.54% in the quite effective category, while in the control class it was 51.39% in the less effective category. Keywords :

Abstract

This research is based on problems in the learning process at Taruna Sakti Pekanbaru Middle School, especially class VIII in students becoming less interested in the learning process. The conventional model is also one-way, where the teacher only delivers material using the lecture method so that students tend not to pay attention to the teacher when giving explanations, showing a lack of focus and active involvement in the learning process. Therefore, to improve students' critical thingking, a new learning model is used, namely the discovery learning model. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of the discovery learning model on critical thingking in Civics learning for class VIII students at Taruna Sakti Middle School, Pekanbaru. The populations in this study was class VIII students at Taruna Sakti Middle School pekanbaru with a total of 83 students. The sample in this study consisted of 57 students, who were divided into two class VIII B and class VIII C. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, questionnaires. Data processing using statistical analysis using the t test formula is obtained tcount = 3.012 dan ttable = 2.004, which means that tcount is greater than ttable, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the discovery learning model affects the critical thingking of students in class VIII SMP Taruna Sakti Pekanbaru by obtaining an average value of 67,8% in the experimental class and the average value of 44,8 % in the control class.
