Abstract

Environmental damage, particularly in the field of agriculture, remains a hot topic of national discourse. On the other hand, human demands for natural resources and agriculture are on the rise in tandem with population growth. In response to these circumstances, a new paradigm for the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural systems and lifestyles has emerged in Indonesia, known as permaculture, which embodies ethical principles. The objective of this research is to examine how the ethics of permaculture can serve as a scientific solution to environmental and economic sustainability, aiming to alleviate concerns among organic farmers. The research is conducted at Kebun Hanif Regenerative Culture in West Bandung Regency. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. The research findings indicate that the application of permaculture ethics in Kebun Hanif demonstrates commendable environmental sustainability, as evidenced by various indicators such as soil physical, biological, and chemical properties, which signify fertile soil. Economic sustainability through the application of permaculture ethics is also deemed viable based on a business feasibility analysis. Consequently, farmer anxieties have diminished because, by adopting permaculture ethics, not only is environmental sustainability achieved, but economic viability and sustainability are also proven.

Abstract

Catfish is one of the many fresh water fishes with high potential for farming in Pontianak. It also has high economic value. Increasing demand for catfish forced its farmers to also further increase their productivity. Methods of farming catfish have always been developed to fufill that goal. One of which is with biofloc system. Catfish farming using biofloc system is a catfish-raising system with the help of purposefully-grown microorganism which functions as detritivore, processing catfish farming waste. The biofloc can then be used as natural source of food for the catfish. It can be accelerated by inserting non-pathogenic bacterial culture of probiotic paired with aerator as both an oxygen supplier and air distributor. The purpose of this study is to gauge the productivity, production cost, and take of business with and without biofloc system and eligibility of catfish farming with and without biofloc system to develop and increase its quality, especially in Pontianak. The number of respondents is 86 samples, calculated using the Slovin method. Productivity of catfish farming with biofloc system is 56,88 kg/m2 with an average production cost as much as Rp 20.594.400,23 a year and an avegare take reaching Rp 26.340.593,02. Catfish farming business with bifloc system is eligible for development.

Abstract

Ayam Goreng Sari Laut (AGSL) is very familiar as fast food for urban consumers. This study aims to estimate the effect of taste and perceived price on AGSL repurchase. Using a survey method of 285 consumers as a sample. The variables measured are taste (X1), price perception (X2), and repurchase (Y). Data is collected through online questionnaires which are distributed to consumers. Test the validity and reliability of the data collected. Then proceed with the model feasibility test and determinants, F test and t test. The results of the analysis show that all items and variables used are valid and reliable. The model feasibility test obtained the value of r = which means feasible, the determinant value was obtained 0.57.76%, which means that Y is determined at 57.76% by X1 and X2; the rest is determined by other variances outside the model. The F test shows a very significant effect (sig<0.01), while the t test also proves that X1 and X2 have a very significant effect (sig<0.01) on repeat purchases. This study concludes that AGSL traders need to maintain current consumer tastes and price perceptions.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine marketing channels, marketing margins, and farmer share of hydroponic pak choy vegetables in Amor farming, South Tangerang City.  This research uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach to analyze the marketing efficiency of pak choy hydroponic vegetables.  Data was collected through direct interviews and secondary data from other agencies.  The research results show that two marketing channel patterns are formed: pattern I involves farmers and consumers, and pattern II involves farmers, traders and consumers.  Pattern II has the highest marketing margin of IDR 9,000, while pattern I has the lowest margin of IDR 0.  Therefore, pattern I is more efficient.  Farmer share analysis shows that pattern I is the most efficient because farmers sell directly to consumers without involving traders, so they have a farmer share of 100%. It is hoped that the results of this research will become a marketing reference and decision for Amor farming, as well as academic reference material and a source of information about marketing efficiency.
