Abstract

Reflective learning is used to improve writing skills, and track the learning process regarding what students understand and what they do not understand. However, little research has explored the impact of reflective learning on students' critical thinking, especially in higher education. This study aims to fills the gap by exploring Indonesian EFL students in the seventh semester of using reflective learning in improving critical thinking skills and identifying their development of critical thinking skills through reflective learning. Questionnaires and students’ reflective learning are provided for data collection. The result reveal that from the questionnaire, reflective learning has an impact on students' critical thinking of 79.99%. Furthermore, it is also found that from students’ reflective learning participated in this study employed three development of critical thinking skills: 1) identify the strength, 2) recognize the weaknesses, and 3) find out the solution. Finding suggest that strategic use of reflective learning may enhance EFL critical thinking skills as well as maximize the achievement of their learning goals.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to comprehend different motivational factors, mathematical communication abilities, and learning outcomes produced by Fourth-grade students using the Picture and Picture siswa. This study's methodology is essentially an experiment. Nonequivalent Control Group Design is the tool for running a quasi-experiment in this study. 53 people make up the sample size in this study; of these, 29 people are from the control group and 24 people are from the experimental group. Tes Hasil Belajar is a method for gathering data that is used to improve learning outcomes and mathematical communication skills, as well as questioner to improve learning motivation and documentation. The techniques for data analysis that are used are descriptively applied statistics, inferential analysis, and hypothesis testing. Ho was eliminated and H1 was cited as the study's findings after the multivariate test with a level of significance of sig. 0.000 to 0.05, which denotes the presence of a statistically significant difference.

Abstract

This research is a preliminary research on the correlation of teacher creativity in the era of 5.0 on chemistry learning achievement and students' argumentation skills which will be continued into a more complete research. The ultimate goal to be achieved from this research is to find out the correlation of teacher creativity on chemistry learning achievement and students' argumentation skills. This research uses a descriptive analysis method, which is research that uses descriptive data results obtained from existing data. This type of research conducted by collecting several sources relevant to the topic discussed in order to obtain valid data to support this research. Teacher creativity during learning is proven to improve chemistry learning achievement and students' argumentation skills. Chemistry is an abstract, real, tiered science and cannot be learned directly, so there needs to be the right technique in learning chemistry. The result of the research showed that the teacher creativity in designing learning, choosing the right methods and media can make it easier for students to understand the material and help students improve their argumentation skills.

Abstract

Sexual education is one of the preventive measures to protect children with special needs from sexual violence. However, this program has not received much attention and still has challenges in its implementation in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the implementation of sexual education for children with special needs in Indonesia. This research method uses a literature study by collecting research articles to be reviewed and analyzed. Based on the search results on two databases, namely google scholar and web of science, 12 articles were obtained that met the criteria with 7 qualitative studies, 4 experimental studies and 1 cross-sectional study. Data analysis in this literature study used narrative synthesis analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, the research findings were categorized into four categories, namely 1) the effectiveness of sexual education, 2) teaching content, methods and media, 3) supporting factors, and 4) implementation constraints. Overall, the research article shows that the implementation of sexual education in Indonesia is still inadequate so an evaluation of the policy and curriculum is needed.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what the learning conditions are when using the Quizizz application for Mathematics learning in elementary school. The scope of this research focuses on students and teachers. This research uses a qualitative approach, qualitative data in the form of information from interviews and observations made using qualitative data collection techniques including: Interviews and Documentation. As for data collection techniques for interview data, researchers describe the interview results in the form of descriptions. Researchers use data analysis techniques using the Milles and Huberman theory, namely data condensation, data presentation, and data conclusions. The location of this research was carried out at an elementary school in Yogyakarta, involving one teacher as a resource person. There are two factors that influence learning, namely from within oneself and from outside oneself. From outside, in the form of learning media used, one of which is the Quizizz application. The Quizizz application is a web tool that contains interactive quizzes containing educational content presented in an attractive appearance. Learning mathematics is abstract learning so it requires media to clarify the intended symbols or numbers, so the Quizizz application can help make learning mathematics easier with various interesting features.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the significant differences in the Project Based Learning model with the use of videos and conventional learning in terms of creative thinking abilities and student learning outcomes, as well as analyzing the significant differences in increasing creative thinking abilities and students' science learning outcomes before and after being treated with the Project Based Learning model with use of video. The research method uses a quantitative type of experiment, Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design Pretest-Posttest. The research population was all students in class V (five) at Al Ikhlas Islamic Elementary School, Cipete, totaling 109 students. The results of the research show that there are significant differences in creative thinking abilities and student learning outcomes between those using the Project Based Learning model and those using videos using conventional learning. There was a significant increase in students' creative thinking abilities and IPAS learning outcomes after being treated with the application of the Project Based Learning model using different videos before being treated with the application of the Project Based Learning model using videos. In general, there is a positive and significant effect (2 tailed) 0.002 < 0.05 of the application of the Project Based Learning model with the use of videos on the creative thinking abilities and science learning outcomes of elementary school students.

A broken home is a condition where a family is not intact, caused by several factors, including divorce and death between couples who are no longer harmonious, where the children are the victims. This research uses field research, namely a type of qualitative research in which the researcher observes and plays a role directly. The two participants in the research included students from broken homes and guidance and counseling teachers who provided services to children from broken homes. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews and documentation methods. Based on the research results, the role of the guidance/counseling teacher as a guide in providing Islamic counseling guidance to students from broken home families is to provide guidance in the form of preventive/prevention, curative/distribution, preservative/repair, and development/development of the function of Islamic counseling guidance. Abstract

In writing academically, EFL students experience different levels of anxiety for each EFL student. This study aims to measure the general level of writing anxiety experienced by EFL students. In addition, it will specifically measure whether there is an influence on the level of writing anxiety of EFL students with several factors, such as gender, length of study, and region. There are other things to look for, which are related to the type of writing anxiety experienced by EFL students, as well as what factors have a major contribution to this writing anxiety. This study used a quantitative approach by conducting a survey of 58 EFL students divided into 3 academic years, where they took basic writing, intermediate writing and advanced writing courses. The results show that the level of student anxiety is average, with cognitive anxiety (M=18.93) being the highest among somatic anxiety (M=18.30) and avoidance behavior anxiety (M=17.96). Then, the factor that most influenced EFL students' writing anxiety was the problem of linguistic factors (9.3%), which was then followed by writing process under constraint (8.5%). However, EFL students did not feel anxious tothe writing test and writing assessment which percentage of each issue was 7.3%.
