Abstract

The global movement in green building development has been going on since the early 1960s. Although initially driven by environmental agendas such as carbon and energy, there is a growing acknowledgment that green buildings can affect Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ). Many researchers also state that improved indoor environmental quality is associated with better occupant satisfaction. However, some localized green buildings, especially in developing countries, often don’t recognize IEQs and occupant satisfaction as important issues, so they remain unstudied. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the performance of IEQ and occupant satisfaction. The analytical methods used were descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The outcome demonstrated that green building standards do not automatically improve indoor environment quality, particularly when the lighting parameter is below the limit values. The analysis findings showed that most respondents expressed their satisfaction with IEQ and significantly influenced occupant satisfaction. In addition, this research contributes to the development of green building evaluation practices that prioritize environmental health and occupant satisfaction

Abstract

Disaster is an event or a series of events that threatens and disrupts people's lives and livelihoods, caused by natural and/or non-natural factors and human factors, resulting in human casualties, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. Hydrometeorological disasters are events related to water, atmosphere, and oceans. It is recorded that hydrometeorological disasters occurring in Indonesia reach 86%, including floods, tornadoes, landslides, forest and land fires, and droughts. Specifically, in Central Kalimantan Province, forest and land fires and floods are frequent disasters. Both fall into the category of hydrometeorological disasters, closely related to the climate in Central Kalimantan. In this study, the prediction of rainfall, temperature, and humidity values in Central Kalimantan Province was calculated using the Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average method at 5 stations in the province. Subsequently, the prediction analysis of flood events was carried out using the machine learning random forest method based on the rainfall data, temperature, humidity, and event data. According to the calculation results, flood disasters are not predicted to affect almost all areas of Central Kalimantan Province. However, by the end of 2023, it is anticipated that most areas in the province will still be categorized as experiencing a normal level of drought. Notably, there are two areas that must increase awareness of this drought disaster, namely Pulang Pisau and Sampit, especially in October 2023.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia seeks to realize sustainable development through the implementation of ESD in Vocational High Schools (SMK). Even though ESD has been attempted in Indonesia, especially in the world of vocational school level education, based on the results of observations in the field, it turns out that learning in the classroom is still not fully directed towards Sustainable Development Education, even though it can actually be integrated well, for example in the science and technology project learning. ESD is very important in building students' mindset and lifestyle in the present and future, so this research was carried out to obtain more concrete information regarding students' sustainability awareness profiles through the integration of ESD in the science project learning, which is deemed to be beneficial. supporting students' sustainability awareness. The researcher carried out a quantitative research approach using the Oneshot case study method through a survey with a random sample of 482 students in 2 vocational schools in Semarang Regency online using a Descriptive Analytical method. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale (without neutral options) which was given after the learning process. Through this research, data was obtained that Sustainability Awareness (Sustainability Awareness) in the emotional and behavioral and attitude categories includes the "often done" criteria, but the practice awareness category includes the "rarely done" criteria. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended for vocational school teachers to increase students' awareness of environmental and sustainability issues through the integration of ESD concepts in all subjects as well as hands-on practical programs such as clean-up actions and the art of recycling. Involving local communities as part of the learning process and providing assistance by competent teachers in the field of ESD can also help increase sustainability awareness among vocational school students

Abstract

The Kei Islands water area is quite productive in fisheries management. Environmental characteristics and oceanographic factors in a body of water will determine the potential of fisheries resources in a water body, and influence fish movement patterns and the formation of fishing areas for flying fish eggs. This research aims to examine the distribution of sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentrations and analyze the relationship between sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentrations with catches of flying fish eggs. The research focused on the waters of the Kei Islands, Southeast Maluku, which is an area for catching flying fish eggs. The research data was studied in the period December 2014 – November 2017. SPL and Chlorophyll-a data were downloaded from Citra MODIS-Aqua, while data on flying fish egg production was obtained from PPN Tual. The research results show that the monthly average SST distribution is between 25.03-30.42ºC, and the monthly average of chlorophyll-a varies quite widely with a range of 0.05-3.09 mg/m3. The number of flying fish egg production fluctuates every year with a production range of 36.28-81.905 kg. The peak of catching flying fish eggs occurs in June-September (eastern season and transition season II). The results of the analysis show that the correlation between SST and chlorophyll-a variables has a very dominant influence on the abundance of flying fish eggs.

Abstract

The primary performance metric used by investors to evaluate the efficiency of capital investments is stock return. After the mining industry, the agricultural sector's stock price index volatility from 2015 to 2021 produced the second-lowest annualized return. Businesses can generate corporate value that is closely tied to stock returns by utilizing value creation-based performance analysis (EVA, MVA, Q-Tobin). Furthermore, stock returns may also be impacted by outside variables. The objectives of this study are to: (1) examine the financial performance of agricultural companies using Q-Tobin, MVA, and EVA; (2) examine the relationship between Q-Tobin, MVA, and EVA and macroeconomic factors (exchange rates and inflation) on stock returns in the agricultural sector; and (3) draw managerial conclusions from the analysis's findings. Eight companies in the agricultural sector that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange prior to 2015 provided the data. In order to ascertain the impact of macroeconomic variables, EVA, MVA, Q-Tobi, and panel data on stock returns, this study used descriptive analysis to evaluate the EVA, MVA, and Q-Tobi of each firm. The majority of the enterprises had negative EVAs, according to the results. However, the MVA study reveals that most businesses achieve positive MVA. The majority of the companies produce a value of q<1, according to the Q-Tobin data. Only the MVARET and Q-Tobin RET variables significantly improve stock returns, according to the REM analysis. Exchange rates, inflation, EVARET, and fictitious crises don't significantly affect stock returns.

Abstract

The unavailability of teaching materials that can support mathematical problem-solving abilities and are integrated with Islamic teaching values makes it difficult for SMP IT educators to hone students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and difficulties in instilling Islamic values in students. One solution that educators can use in learning is to use e-modules. E-module is a teaching material that has the characteristics of independent learning principles. This research aims to see the effectiveness of using mathematics e-modules that are integrated with Islamic values in facilitating students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This type of research is pre-experimental research and the research design is one group pre-test-post test design. The sampling method is purposive sampling, where one class is taken directly from the population as a research sample. The subjects of this research were 24 students in class VIII.1 at SMP IT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar. The effectiveness of the mathematics e-module can be seen from the comparison of the results of the pre-test and post-test of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The final results of the student's mathematical problem-solving ability test obtained were 57% of the total maximum score, while the results of the student's initial mathematical problem-solving ability test were only 22% of the maximum score. Because 57%>22%, these results indicate that the use of Islamic integrated mathematics e-modules is effective in facilitating students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.
