Abstract

There is a problem faced, namely that elementary school students' understanding of science concepts is still low, which has an impact on low environmental awareness. This research aims to determine the application of the Climate Kids interactive web to build students' conceptual understanding and environmental awareness. The method used in this research is quantitative with an exploratory approach and pre-Exploratory with a one group pretest-posttest design. Participants in this research involved 25 students, 10 male students and 15 female students in class VI of one of the state elementary schools in West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The research results show that the Climate Kids interactive web can build conceptual understanding and environmental awareness as seen from the average pretest score of 37.67 while the posttest average score is 79.87, supported by the results of the Wilcoxon test with asymp. Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the pretest-posttest results and the average environmental awareness questionnaire results obtained are 92%, which shows that the level of students' environmental awareness after being given learning is in the very high category.

Abstract

Misconceptions in physics learning are often caused by students’ preconceptions that are not in accordance with the actual physics theory. The use of interactive digital technology-based learning media makes it easier for students to understands physics concepts. This research aims to apply interactive learning media based on Visual Basic for Application (VBA) excel spreadsheets to remediate misconceptions in traveling wave material. The research method is a pre-experimental design, with one group for pretest and posttest. A total of 21 samples were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out twice, namely during the pretest and posttest using a five-tier multiple choice diagnostic test with 10 questions. The results of the misconception remediation analysis showed a decrease in misconceptions from 28.5% to 11.3% with an average N-Gain score (-0.31). This means that there was a decrease in the percentage of misconceptions before and after treatment. This data is also supported by the results of the paired sample t-test analysis, namely 0.000 < 0.5, which means that the use of interactive learning media based on Visual Basic for Application (VBA) Excel spreadsheets has a significant effect on remediating students' misconceptions about traveling wave material. This interactive learning media is expected to be an alternative for teachers in remediating misconceptions in learning physics.

Abstract

This research is theoretical research with a literature study that examines methods to maintain characteristics of electrons when moving in a quantum system at the potential barrier. Attempts to maintain the characteristics of electrons in quantum systems are known as adiabatic. The method used in this research is the fast-forward method. This method was first introduced by Masuda and Nakamura in 2010. The fast-forward method is applied to barrier potential in case of electron energy larger and smaller than the potential barrier. This research focuses on preserving the characteristics of electrons by determining the regularization phase and additional potential of the quantum system at the barrier potential. The wave function solution of the system at the potential barrier is approximated by the Schrödinger equation into three regions for each case. The wave function of each region is regularized to be an adiabatic wave function and an additional term in the form of regularization phase (θ) is obtained. Given the regularized Hamiltonian, the additional potential (Ṽ) is obtained. The obtained regularization phase and additional potential ensure the quantum system at the potential barrier is in the same state from the initial state to the final state

Abstract

The Srigangga River is one of the main rivers flowing into the Batujai Reservoir basin in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Communities around this area still use river water to fulfill their daily needs. The many activities of residents around this river area affect the decline in river water quality. This research aims to determine river water quality based on physical, chemical, and biological parameters and determine the river water pollution index using the pollution index method. This type of research is a descriptive research method with a laboratory-based approach; sampling locations are carried out in the river's upstream, middle, and downstream parts. The parameters analyzed include pH, TSS, DO, COD, BOD, Phosphorus content, total coliform, and Escherichia coli. The research results show that of the 8 (eight) parameters tested in the upstream, middle, and downstream parts of the Srigangga River, 4 (four) parameters are above the quality standards determined based on PP RI No.22 of 2021. The water pollution index value shows that the Srigangga River is already polluted in the light category
