Abstract

Public transport optimum route search is a problem to find a route between two points with the minimum number of weights.  The research method that can be used to solve the problem of finding the optimum route is divided into two stages, namely first designing a model device using the A* algorithm and Google Maps API, second designing an android-based application. The purpose of this research is to develop an android-based system that can contain information on the optimum route of public transport in Medan City.  The A* algorithm is a computer algorithm that uses distance estimation using the search for the closest path to reach the destination and has a heuristic function that is used as a basis for consideration to determine the choice of a number of alternatives to achieve the target effectively. The output of this research is the application of optimum route information for Medan city public transport based on android. The level of readiness of this research technology is of the Software type at the subsystem module validation status in a laboratory environment with indicators of integrated basic software components working together.

Abstract

Scarcity and high cost of raw materials for poultry feed are the main problems that can hamper poultry production. An alternative ingredient that can be used in feed is koro beans. The aim was to determine the effect of rations containing fermented jack beans, Rhizopus oligosporus, on the production performance and quality of quail eggs. The analysis used a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments; Each treatment was repeated 4 times and each replication consisted of 15 quail. Four types of rations contained fermented sword bean at 7.5, 15, 22.50 and 30% and the control ration did not contain fermented sword bean. The parameters observed included feed consumption, egg production, feed conversion, shell thickness, egg yolk color and egg yolk cholesterol. The level of fermented sword bean in the ration of laying quail did not have a significant effect (p>0.05) on feed consumption and eggshell thickness. However, egg weight, daily egg production, feed conversion, yolk color intensity and yolk cholesterol were significantly influenced by fermented treatment (p<0.05). Sword beans fermented by R. oligosporus can be used as a food ingredient in egg-laying quail feed formulations to increase the quantity and quality of quail eggs.

Abstract

The elderly experience a phase of decline in all body organ functions, such as social, physical, psychological and emotional abilities which become increasingly weakened so that the elderly become vulnerable. fights various diseases, including hypertension. Elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation are non-pharmaceutical therapies that are believed to lower blood pressure. This study aims to determine the effect of elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation on reducing blood pressure. The research design used was a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The research sample consisted of 114 respondents who were divided into 3 groups of 38 respondents each, with inclusion criteria: Elderly people suffering from hypertension, minimum age 60 years, currently taking antihypertensive medication, blood pressure >140/90 mmHg, able to participate in gymnastics movements. / can move the whole body, does not smoke and is not obese. Group selection used consecutive sampling techniques. The research location was carried out in the Cantigi Community Health Center working area and the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests were used to analyze this research data. Research results: systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after the test in the control group (systolic p = 0.480 and diastolic p = 0.301), systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after the test in the exercise group (systolic p and diastolic p = 0.001), as well as relaxation of finger grip on a decrease in blood pressure (systolic p = 0.001 and p = 0.012 diastolic). The difference in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation shows that elderly exercise produces lower diastolic blood pressure results compared to finger grip relaxation (diastolic p = 0.015 and 0.005). Conclusion: elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation have an effect on reducing blood pressure and elderly exercise produces lower diastolic blood pressure results compared to finger grip relaxation (diastolic p = 0.015 and 0.005).
