Abstract

The problem of bullying has become a serious concern which has a psychological and emotional impact on teenagers. These include mental health problems, low self-esteem, social isolation, and even the potential risk of dangerous behavior. Based on this, this article aims to understand the dynamics of bullying in adolescents regarding the factors involved, the extent of its impact, and how society and the authorities or counselors can overcome this problem. This article uses a library research method that focuses on empirical research indexed by Google Scholar regarding the dynamics of bullying among teenagers in the last 5 years (2019-2023). In this literature review, 20 articles related to the dynamics of bullying in adolescents were identified, including factor aspects (11 articles) and impact aspects (9 articles). Research conducted in a variety of social contexts, such as school, online, or community settings, will be included in this analysis. The research results briefly show that there are factors that influence bullying behavior, including individuals, families, peers, the school environment, and the mass media. These factors play an important role in bullying behavior which has an impact on teenagers such as emotional problems including stress, depression, isolation and thoughts of suicide. Bullying can occur in various forms, including conventional (offline) and cyberbullying (online). Treatment and prevention efforts involve adolescents, families, schools and communities in building values, effective communication, prevention programs and social interventions. All parties need to play an active role in overcoming the problem of bullying.

Abstract

The childfree phenomenon, which has become a topic of conversation in Indonesia after a YouTuber and influencer revealed his choice, has had its pros and cons. This research aims to understand the childfree phenomenon from the perspective of the Indonesian Genre Forum, Jambi Province. The problem definition includes this forum's views on the factors and impacts of the childfree phenomenon. The decision to be childfree is considered to require mental and physical readiness. There are five factors why someone chooses to be childfree, namely personal, psychological, economic, philosophical and environmental factors. The informants for this research are members of the Jambi Province Genre Forum and genre ambassadors 2023. Using a purposive sampling technique, 8 informants were selected. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods to describe the conditions in the field. The research results concluded that every individual has the right to decide to have children, for varying reasons. The childfree decision has both positive and negative impacts. The research is expected to provide new understanding to readers, including prospective counselors, parents, prospective parents, and the wider community. The implications of the research results include various aspects related to the childfree phenomenon from the perspective of the Jambi Province Genre Forum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parental involvement in improving students' learning based on students' opinions. This study used descriptive quantitative research methods. This research was conducted in four public junior high schools in Gowa Regency. The study population consisted of grade IX students with a total population of 1428 students. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling by taking 40 students from each school so that the research sample amounted to 160 students. The results showed that based on students' opinions, each indicator in this study basically did affect students' learning achievement. From the results of the study, it was found that the most influential indicator was that parents always motivate and provide advice regarding future plans with a total percentage of 85.63% then 83% in the indicator parents always take the time to ask how things are going at school and the third indicator 81.25% in the statement parents always participate and attend activities organized by the school. Therefore, the school must develop and improve each of these indicators in order to have an optimal influence on student achievement. This study provides recommendations so that schools can play an active role optimally in increasing parental involvement in improving student achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of social loafing of class X students at SMA N 8 Semarang. Looking at the level of activity of class X students during the process of providing Classical Tutoring services by the guidance and counseling teacher. When the group discussion process took place there were only a few students who were actively discussing. So the researcher feels that there is a need for research regarding the level of social loafing in class X students. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire which contains statements stating the object to be expressed. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research are that the level of social laziness of class X students at SMA Negeri 8 Semarang on average has a moderate level of social loafing.

Abstract

Group guidance is one of the guidance and counseling services in carrying out developmental preventive functions. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the mode of education services has changed significantly, especially with the use of web meeting technology devices as a substitute for direct face-to-face meetings. This research tests the theoretical feasibility of developing a blended group guidance model using cognitive restructuring techniques. This research is library research by exploring research data in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases to find the theoretical feasibility of the model to be developed. The tools used are published or perish, and VosViewer to get an overview of the development potential and academic support expected in developing this blended group guidance model. The results show that 26 studies support the development of a blended group guidance model. However, not all of the research addresses explicitly cognitive restructuring techniques, so this would be a novelty for this research.

Abstract

This research aims to see the extent of the influence of the family environment on the formation of student character. The family is the first and main educational environment for children. The birth of the family as an educational institution since humans were still in the womb and then existed in the world. The duties and responsibilities of parents in the family environment are to lay the foundation of moral values ​​for the formation and development of children in the future, so that children can grow and develop well because it is in the family environment that children first receive the basic knowledge about values. kind. The research method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative survey approach. The results of this research show that the regression coefficient value for the family environment variable is 0.753 or 75.3%, so it can be said that the family environment has an influence on the formation of student character at SD Negeri 2 Arjawinangun by 75.3%. This shows that the family environment has a big influence on the formation of students' character, while the remaining 24.7% of students' character formation is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to discribe the level of self concept, the level of self adjustment and the influenceof self concept on student self adjustment at SMA Negeri 3 Jambi City. The study used a quantitative research with expost-facto method. The population this study were phase F class student of SMA Negeri 3 Jambi City with a sample of size 59 student taken from purposive technique. The data collection tool used is questionnaire with a likert scale and data analysis used through the percentage test and simple regression test. The result showed that the level of student self concept was at low level 36%, the level of student self adjustment was at low level of 32% and showed that self concept had significant effect on student self adjustment of 26,9% which was at a fairly strong level.

Abstract

Ketika keterbatasan emosi, intelektual, sosial, atau fisik seorang anak menghalangi perkembangan normalnya, kita mengatakan bahwa anak tersebut mempunyai kebutuhan khusus. Mengingat kekurangan ini, penelitian yang mengkaji teknik pengasuhan untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus, elemen penerimaan orang tua, dan variabel yang berkontribusi terhadap penerimaan orang tua sangat diperlukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sikap penerimaan orang tua terhadap anaknya yang berkebutuhan khusus menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Peneliti dalam penelitian ini mengandalkan bahan referensi yang diperoleh dari wawancara dengan orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus untuk memastikan keaslian hasilnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik, yang membantu mengidentifikasi tren dan kesimpulan penting terkait pengalaman dan taktik orang tua. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, orang tua sudah bisa menerima kondisi anaknya. Hal ini terlihat jika melihat variabel dan karakteristik penerimaan orang tua terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus. Untuk menjamin orang tua dapat menunaikan kewajiban dan memenuhi hak-hak anaknya, ketiga subjek orang tua telah menerapkan berbagai strategi dalam menangani dan mengasuh anak berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya di bidang kesehatan, pendidikan, perlindungan, dan kebutuhan.

Abstract

Teenager are in transitional period that requires appropriate information according to their needs and changes they experience regarding sexuality issues. Problems found in the field such as sexual violence, early marriage, unwanted pregnancy, and taboo perceptions about sexuality issues are the background of the importance of comprehensive sexuality education. The solo women's study center as one of the communities actively engaged in educating teenagers about the importance of sexuality education by considering the Comprehensive Sexual Education curriculum with the aim of increasing knowledge, making preventive efforts, and providing a safe space for adolescents. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then tested for credibility using source triangulation, then analyzed using liberal feminist theory. The results showed that the strategies carried out by PUKAPS such as sea-project, femstride class, femstride safer space project, making the film “Payung Dara”, campaigning through social media, and advocacy services have a positive influence on the fulfillment of reproductive rights and the improvement of more inclusive sexuality education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with self-instructional techniques in increasing academic self-efficacy in facing the Final Semester Assessment. The research method used is a quantitative experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sample consisted of six students from class X at SMKN 5 Madiun who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is an academic self-efficacy scale with a Likert scale model. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and parametric statistical tests, namely the paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The level of academic self-efficacy from the pretest average score of 66.50 increased to 90.00 on the results of the posttest average score. Based on the paired sample t-test, a significance value (sig.2-tailed) of 0.000 is obtained, which results indicate less than a probability of 0.05. So it can be concluded that group counseling with self-instructional techniques is effective in increasing academic self-efficacy in dealing with the Final Semester Assessment in class X students of SMKN 5 Madiun.
