Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of music therapy and the level of emotional expression of students at Makassar State University. The phenomenon of increasing academic, social, and personal pressures causes many students to experience difficulties in expressing emotions healthily. Music is seen as an alternative medium to help regulate and channel emotions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational method. The study population consisted of students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Makassar State University, with data collection through a courage questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive tests, the Kolmogorov-Smithnov normality test, simple linear regression, and the Pearson correlation test. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of music therapy and the level of emotional expression of students (r = 0.429; p = 0.001). This means that the higher the intensity of students in music therapy, the higher their ability to express emotions adaptively. Music therapy has been shown to stimulate the autonomic nervous system, reduce stress, and improve emotional well-being. These findings support the application of music therapy as an effective nonverbal therapy in guidance and counseling, especially to help students manage emotions and mental health positively.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine the effect of the inquiry learning model on students' civics learning outcomes; 2) determine the effect of motivation on students' civics learning outcomes; and 3) determine the interaction of the inquiry learning model and motivation on students' civics learning outcomes of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Balige, Toba Regency. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Balige, Toba Regency. The study population consisted of 125 students from class VII (A, B, C, D). The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The total sample was 64 students. The experimental sample of class VII A consisted of 32 students, and the control class consisted of 32 students. The research instruments used to assess students' civics learning outcomes included a multiple-choice test and a questionnaire evaluating student motivation. The trial of the learning outcome test was conducted on 28 students of class VIII A, and 20 valid and reliable test questions were obtained. The student motivation questionnaire was administered to 31 students of Class VII C. The results of the trial of the motivation questionnaire obtained 26 valid and reliable statements. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing an experimental method (two-group pretest-posttest control group design) and a two-way analysis of variance (2x2 ANOVA). The prerequisite analysis tests are met, namely the normality test and the homogeneity test. Hypothesis testing uses 2x2 ANOVA. The results of the study are 1) the effect of the inquiry learning model on students' Civics learning outcomes, the F count>F table is 95.863>2.76 (sig.000 <0.05); 2) the effect of motivation on students' Civics learning outcomes, F count>F table is 242.922>2.76 (sig.000<0.05); and 3) the interaction between the learning model and students' motivation on students' Civics learning outcomes, F count>F table is 21.716>2.76 (sig.000<0.05). The conclusions of the study are 1) There is an effect of the inquiry learning model on students' Civics learning outcomes; 2) There is an influence of motivation on students' civics learning outcomes. 3) There is an interaction between the learning model and student motivation on the civics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Balige, Toba Regency.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of educational technology in the 21st century has reshaped the paradigm of science learning in elementary schools, emphasizing the need for students to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. This literature review investigates the effectiveness of integrating the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with Augmented Reality (AR)-based Flashcards to enhance elementary students’ critical thinking skills in Integrated Science (IPAS) education. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study analyzed publications from 2015–2025 sourced from reputable databases such as Scopus, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and SINTA. The data were examined through content analysis to identify key pedagogical themes, effectiveness, and research gaps regarding the integration of PjBL and AR in primary-level instruction. Findings reveal that AR-assisted PjBL significantly improves students’ conceptual understanding, engagement, motivation, and higher-order thinking skills by merging hands-on learning with visual and interactive experiences. Nevertheless, few empirical studies have simultaneously explored both approaches in the IPAS context. The review concludes that PjBL assisted by AR Flashcards holds substantial potential to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and scientific literacy among primary learners. Future research is recommended to conduct longitudinal and experimental studies to validate its long-term pedagogical effectiveness and scalability across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive learning media called Wordwall based on the Total Physical Response (TPR) method for teaching English to fourth-grade elementary school students. The study was motivated by the limited use of digital and kinesthetic-based media in English learning, which often causes students to become passive and less engaged. The development model used was the 4D model by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel, consisting of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Validation was conducted by three experts material, language, and media with an average validity score of 96.2%, categorized as very valid. Practicality tests involving one-to-one and small group evaluations obtained an average score of 95.9%, while the field test showed an N-Gain value of 0.86 or 86.5%, categorized as high effectiveness. The findings indicate that the Wordwall-based TPR media is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ vocabulary mastery and learning engagement. This integration of digital and kinesthetic learning fosters active participation, enhances motivation, and creates an enjoyable learning atmosphere in English classes.

Abstract

Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) merupakan hak dasar yang melekat pada setiap individu tanpa memandang jenis kelamin, ras, agama, maupun status sosial. Salah satu dimensi penting dari HAM adalah kesetaraan gender yang menegaskan bahwa perempuan dan laki-laki memiliki hak yang sama dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Namun, dalam praktiknya, diskriminasi gender dan kekerasan terhadap perempuan masih marak terjadi, termasuk di Kota Kupang sebagai ibu kota Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Data UPTD Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak (PPA) Kota Kupang tahun 2022 mencatat lebih dari 200 kasus kekerasan terhadap perempuan, dan angka ini meningkat pada tahun 2023 menurut laporan Profil Gender dan Anak Kota Kupang. Fakta ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan yang cukup besar antara regulasi formal yang menjamin perlindungan HAM dengan realitas sosial yang dihadapi perempuan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menafsir nilai dasar HAM, meliputi keadilan, kebebasan, kesetaraan, dan martabat manusia, serta menelaah sumber hukum yang melandasi perlindungan perempuan, baik dalam konstitusi, undang-undang, instrumen internasional, maupun hukum adat. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif normatif, penelitian ini menelaah regulasi nasional, laporan lembaga resmi, serta literatur akademik, termasuk karya Fadil Mas’ud mengenai kesetaraan gender, diskriminasi struktural, dan pendidikan moral. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa faktor budaya patriarkis, ketimpangan ekonomi, dan lemahnya penegakan hukum menjadi hambatan utama perlindungan perempuan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi penafsiran integratif yang menggabungkan norma hukum formal dengan kebijakan afirmatif, pendidikan kewarganegaraan, dan dialog multikultural untuk memperkuat implementasi HAM di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

The gaming industry has grown rapidly, and one of the key elements in a game is the non-playable character (NPC). Easily predictable NPC behavior often reduces player engagement and satisfaction. Static or unresponsive NPCs tend to create monotonous and less challenging gameplay experiences, ultimately lowering game quality and player interest. This study applies Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) using Unity ML-Agents to train agents in a Dodgeball game, enabling them to make adaptive decisions through self-play. A reward system was designed to provide positive feedback for strategic actions, such as picking up and throwing the ball, and penalties for mistakes, such as hitting walls or being hit by the ball. The training results showed a gradual improvement in agent performance, reflected in the increasing and stable cumulative rewards and ELO scores at the end of training. In performance testing, the DRL agent achieved a 66% win rate against the rule-based agent over 50 matches. A user preference test also revealed that 80% of players preferred competing against the DRL agent, with 60% of them considering it more challenging than the rule-based one. These results demonstrate that the DRL agent not only outperforms the rule-based agent but also provides a more dynamic and realistic gameplay experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan yang menggunakan metode kajian pustaka, yaitu dengan melakukan pengkajian terhadap hasil penelitan yang berkaitan dengan topik yang dibahas. Tujuan utama dalam studi ini yakni untuk mengkaji implementasi pendekatan deep learning di sekolah dasar berdasarkan konsep dan bagaimana hasil yang sudah didapatkan dengan menerapkan deep learning di sekolah dasar. Hasil studi menunjukkan implementasi pendekatan deep learning di jenjang sekolah dasar didefinisikan sebagai pendekatan yang menekankan pembelajaran meaningful, mindful, dan joyful, yang berhasil menggeser fokus pendidikan dari transmisi pengetahuan dangkal menuju pemahaman konseptual yang mendalam. Deep Learning juga berdampak positif secara konsisten dalam pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21 (6C). Secara kognitif, pendekatan deep learning memperkuat penguasaan konsep, termasuk peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa sekaligus mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Secara non-kognitif, deep learning mendorong komunikasi, kolaborasi, rasa ingin tahu, kedisiplinan, serta penguatan karakter seperti integritas melalui aktivitas pembelajaran yang partisipatif dan terintegrasi dengan kegiatan ko-kurikuler. Strategi implementasi pendekatan deep learning yang paling sukses melibatkan penggunaan pedagogi aktif seperti Project-Based Learning dan Inquiry-Based Learning didukung oleh integrasi teknologi. Dalam implementasi Deep learning juga ditemukan di SD juga masih terhambat oleh tantangan serius yang bersifat institusional dan kapabilitas guru. Hambatan utama yang berulang kali muncul adalah rendahnya kesiapan guru dan keterbatasan sumber daya institusi (baik infrastruktur teknologi maupun kendala waktu kurikuler). Oleh karena itu, keberhasilan jangka panjang deep learning memerlukan intervensi kebijakan yang kuat dalam hal pengembangan profesional guru berbasis praktik dan penguatan infrastruktur digital sekolah

Abstract

This study examined the effect of Papea (Papan Petualangan Angka) on third-grade students’ mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in understanding whole numbers and place value. Using a one-group posttest-only quasi-experimental design with 42 participants, the study found that the use of Papea significantly improved students’ performance, as reflected by the increase in the mean score from 40.79 to 78.95 and the paired-sample t-test result of t = –10.50 (p = 1.20 × 10⁻¹²). These findings indicate that Papea effectively enhances students’ comprehension of numerical concepts, supports more accurate problem solving, and increases engagement during learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Teaching factory learning on the entrepreneurial interest of eleventh-grade Culinary Department students at SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. The problem raised in this study is the low entrepreneurial interest among students, which is presumed to be caused by the lack of learning experiences that connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practice. The research method used is a correlational approach quantitative approach with an associative type of study. The population consisted of 104 students, and a sample of 51 students was selected using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure entrepreneurial interest and documentation of Teaching factory learning scores. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed that Teaching factory learning had a positive and significant effect on students’ entrepreneurial interest, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 35,5%. The t-test indicated that Teaching factory learning significantly affected entrepreneurial interest with a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05. These findings emphasize that effective implementation of Teaching factory learning can enhance students’ entrepreneurial interest through contextual learning experiences that foster skills, creativity, and independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakulikuler futsal di SMA Negeri 1 Terbanggi besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survei melalui angket tertutup yang terdiri dari 24 pernyataan skala Likert. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta ekstrakulikuler futsal yang berjumlah 40 siswa, dimana seluruhnya dijadikan sampel (total sampling). Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui kategori motivasi siswa berdasarkan nilai minimum, maksimum, rerata, dan standar deviasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakulikuler futsal berada pada kategori cukup, dengan nilai minimum 2,292, nilai maksimum 3,875, rerata 3,205, dan standar deviasi 0,402. Distribusi kategori motivasi menunjukkan bahwa 3 siswa (7,50%) berada pada kategori sangat baik, 9 siswa (22,50%) kategori baik, 18 siswa (45%) kategori cukup, 5 siswa (12,50%) kategori kurang dan 5 siswa (12,50%) kategori sangat kurang. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa baik motivasi intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik berada pada tingkat sedang, dan keduanya memberikan kontribusi yang relatif seimbang terhadap partisipasi siswa kegiatan futsal. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa motivasi siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui dukungan lingkungan, kualitas pembinaan, serta pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana yang lebih optimal. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi rujuka bagi sekolah, guru penjas, dan penelitian selanjutnya dalam upaya peningkatan motivasi siswa pada kegiatan ekstrakulikuler.
