Abstract

Marriage is still viewed as the main norm of adult life in Indonesian culture, so individuals who choose not to marry often face social pressure and negative stigma. This condition requires self-acceptance skills so that individuals can maintain their psychological well-being. This study aims to understand the process of self-acceptance in individuals who choose not to marry in the Indonesian context. The study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The participants consisted of five adult women, ranging from early adulthood to late adulthood, who consciously chose not to marry. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The results showed that self-acceptance was formed through a process of continuous self-reflection, influenced by life experiences and social interactions. Self-acceptance is reflected in unconditional acceptance, a realistic view of oneself, self-esteem that does not depend on marital status, authenticity, and openness to emotional experiences. Self-acceptance acts as a protective mechanism that maintains psychological well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to determine : 1) An overview of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in social studies learning in grade IX at UPT SPF SMPN 24 Makassar; 2) Students’ perceptions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) regarding its application in Social Studies Learning; 3) The form of student statisfaction with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in suppoting the ideal Social Studies learning process in grade IX at UPT SPF SMPN 24 Makassar. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews with several Grade IX students at UPT SPF SMPN 24 Makassar as the primary respondents, supplemented by documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification to produce accurate findings.The results of this study indicate that : 1) the overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage in Grade IX at UPT SPF SMPN 24 Makassar shows that AI functions as a flexible assistant capable of tailoring materials to students' learning styles, thereby increasing independent learning initiatives both at school and at home. 2) regarding students' perceptions, the use of AI applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Cici is regarded as an essential tool for simplifying their understanding; despite finding them helpful, students consistently perform cross- verification of the information provided to avoid data inaccuracies. 3) the form of student satisfaction in creating an ideal Social Studies learning process stems from the ease of information access and the time efficiency provided by AI, which allows students to focus more on deepening their understanding and engaging in active classroom discussions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of deep learning in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) subjects in the Merdeka Curriculum and the factors that influence it. The research problem stems from the suboptimal and uneven application of deep learning in IRE teaching practices at the secondary school level. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through learning observations, in-depth interviews with school principals, IRE teachers, and students, as well as a study of learning tools documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, using George C. Edwards III's policy implementation theoretical framework. The results show that the implementation of deep learning in PAI learning has been adaptive and is beginning to lead to meaningful and reflective learning, but it is not yet fully systemic. The main obstacles include differences in teachers' understanding of the concept of deep learning, limited learning time, limited learning resources, and suboptimal authentic assessment. The conclusion of the study confirms that the success of deep learning implementation in PAI learning is highly determined by the effectiveness of policy communication, resource availability, implementers' disposition, and support from the school bureaucratic structure.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed at improving students’ learning activeness and learning outcomes through the implementation of the The Power of Two learning method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on the topic of Believing in the Holy Books of Allah in class VIII-F at SMPN 1 Turikale Maros. The research subjects consisted of 32 students. The study was conducted in two cycles, each comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation and learning achievement tests. The results showed that the implementation of the The Power of Two method improved students’ activeness and learning outcomes. Learning activeness increased from 77% in Cycle I (high category) to approximately 85% in Cycle II (very high category). In addition, learning outcomes also improved, with 87.5% of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) in Cycle II, where 68.75% obtained grade A and 18.75% obtained grade B. Therefore, the The Power of Two method proved to be effective in enhancing students’ active participation and learning outcomes. Keywords: The Power of Two, Learning Outcomes, Islamic Education.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery plays a crucial role in the success of English language learning, especially at the elementary education level. Nevertheless, many fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah still demonstrate limited English vocabulary acquisition, which negatively affects their speaking, reading, and comprehension skills. This problem is mainly caused by the use of conventional teaching approaches that emphasize memorization and teacher-centered instruction, resulting in low student motivation and participation. To address this issue, the Total Physical Response (TPR) method was implemented as an alternative instructional strategy that integrates language learning with physical movement. This study aims to investigate the implementation of the TPR method and to evaluate its effectiveness in improving English vocabulary mastery among fifth-grade students at MI Miftahul Huda Tunah Tuban. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants of this study were fifth-grade students of MI Miftahul Huda Tunah Tuban. Data were collected through classroom observations, vocabulary achievement tests, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to examine learning activities and quantitative analysis to measure students’ vocabulary improvement. The findings reveal that the application of the TPR method significantly enhanced students’ engagement, motivation, and confidence during the learning process. Furthermore, there was a notable improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery, as evidenced by increased average scores and higher learning mastery percentages in each cycle. These results suggest that the TPR method is an effective and engaging approach for improving English vocabulary mastery in elementary-level students.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Learning policy is motivated by a learning process that is not fully oriented to the needs, characteristics, and interests of students, resulting in boredom and low learning engagement. This condition requires the implementation of student-centered learning methods, one of which is through differentiated learning. Therefore, this meta-analysis study aims to analyze the effect of the application of differentiated learning in improving student learning outcomes. The method of this meta-analysis research is formulating the problem, collecting data, coding data, analyzing data, and concluding. The results of the article search obtained 20 articles on differentiated learning to improve learning outcomes, and only 18 articles met the criteria for meta-analysis research on the application of differentiated learning. The results show that differentiated learning has a very high effect on learning outcomes, indicated by the majority of effect size values in the very large category with a p-value <0.05, indicating a significant effect. The summary effect of 1.694 with a confidence interval of 88.3% (1.245–2.144) indicates that differentiated learning consistently improves student learning outcomes. Publication bias tests using a Funnel Plot and Fail-Safe N showed that the research results were not affected by publication bias, with a Fail-Safe N value of 4.285, exceeding the recommended tolerance limit. Thus, differentiated learning has proven effective and feasible to be implemented to improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of elementary school students in relation to their learning needs. The background of this study is the diversity of cognitive, socio-emotional, physical, moral, and motivational characteristics of students, which often pose challenges in implementing effective learning at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to identify dominant student characteristics and determine how these characteristics reflect students' learning needs. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to elementary school students from several schools as the research sample. The collected data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of responses for each statement in the same indicator to identify dominant tendencies. The results showed that students tended to have a high level of curiosity and preferred learning through visual aids and real-life examples. Students also showed higher learning motivation when lessons were presented in an interesting, fun, and contextual manner. In addition, students demonstrated good socio-emotional development, such as obeying school rules and enjoying collaborative learning, as well as a strong preference for physical activities, including movement, play, and maintaining personal hygiene. From a moral and spiritual perspective, students demonstrated positive habits such as praying before and after learning activities and apologizing when making mistakes. These findings indicate that learning in elementary schools must be designed holistically and contextually to accommodate students' characteristics and learning needs in order to create meaningful and effective learning experiences.

Abstract

The purpose of this educational research is to produce an interactive quiz game leraning media product using the canva application that is suitable and effective for use in elementary school science (IPA) learning. This product is designed to support learning so that it can strengthen student’s learning motivation and leaning outcomes can be achieved. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. A result showed that the canva based interactive quiz game media was categorized as feasible based on the material expert test (85.65%) an material expert test (96%). While based on the result of the student questionnaire, it can can be concluded that interactive quiz game are effective in increasing student learning motivation, with a trial test data of 87.79%. from these two point it can be inferred that interactive quiz games are very worthy and effective increasing student learning motivation in animal reproduction material in elementary school.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of playing crank on the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at the HKBP Tarutung Pembina Kindergarten. The research hypothesis is: "Engklek playing activities influence the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years in the Tarutung HKBP Pembina Kindergarten". The population is children aged 5-6 years (group B) students at the Tarutung HKBP Pembina Kindergarten, namely 68 students. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, namely the Bintang class with 34 students as the experimental class and the Bulan class with 34 students as the control class. This research method is a quantitative research method with a quasi-experiment method (Quasi-experiment) with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used in this research was a 20-item questionnaire. Research data for the questionnaire was analyzed using the average difference test formula (N-Gain Score). It was found that the average value for the experimental class was 0.7473 in the high category. And the average value for the control class is 0.1468, which is in the low category. From the results of the research carried out, an independent test was carried out using the t test and obtained a value of t = 12.727 > t table (α = 0.05; df = 66) = 2,000. Thus, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, namely that the activity of playing engklek influences the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at the HKBP Tarutung Pembina Kindergarten and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of internship programs in enhancing students’ entrepreneurial skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method, involving 43 Economics Education students of Muhammadiyah University of Bone who had participated in internship programs. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results revealed that all items of variables X and Y were valid, with correlation coefficients ranging from 0.333 to 0.792, exceeding the r-table value of 0.301 at the 5% significance level. The partial t-test showed a calculated t-value of 9.429, greater than the critical t-table value of 1.68385, with a significance level below 0.001. This proves that internship programs have a significant effect on students’ entrepreneurial skills. The correlation coefficient of 0.827 indicates a very strong relationship, with internship programs contributing 68.4% to students’ entrepreneurial skills. These findings emphasize that internship programs are an effective contextual learning medium for developing entrepreneurial competencies among students. However, their effectiveness can be further improved through intensive guidance and direct involvement of students in real entrepreneurial activities.
