Abstract

This study aims to analyze community development strategies through the cocomesh production program at the Sriwijaya Creative House in Lahat City using a qualitative case study approach. The research subjects consisted of five purposively selected informants. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the empowerment process was carried out through outreach, training, mentoring, and direct practice, with a high level of community participation in production and marketing. This program had a positive impact on increasing income and strengthening the community's social aspects. Supporting factors included the availability of raw materials and institutional support, while barriers included limited equipment and market access. Overall, this program was quite effective in increasing community capacity but still requires institutional and marketing strengthening for sustainability

Abstract

Effective control of time and cost performance remains a persistent challenge in river embankment development projects, which are characterized by linear construction processes, environmental uncertainty, and high exposure to schedule disruption. Although construction management techniques such as the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) are widely applied, empirical evidence on their integrated effectiveness in flood control infrastructure remains limited. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of construction management techniques in controlling time and cost performance in river embankment development projects and to explain the underlying causes of performance deviations. The research adopts a quantitative analytical case study approach, utilizing CPM and EVM to analyze baseline schedules, actual progress, and cost data. The findings reveal persistent schedule delays and moderate cost inefficiencies, with critical activities exerting a dominant influence on overall project performance. Schedule slippage was identified as the primary driver of cost escalation, while the effectiveness of CPM and EVM was constrained by static application and delayed managerial response. The study concludes that construction management techniques are effective as diagnostic tools but require adaptive and integrated implementation to function as proactive control mechanisms. This research contributes theoretically by contextualizing CPM–EVM integration within river embankment projects and practically by providing evidence-based insights for improving time and cost control in flood control infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ethnomathematics-based differentiated learning model on students' mathematical literacy skills. The study was conducted at Pancasila Tanjung Beringin Private Junior High School in the 2025/2026 academic year with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 51 students divided into two classes. Class VIII A is the experimental class with 25 students using the differentiated learning model, while class VIII B is the control class with 26 students using the conventional learning model. The research instrument is in the form of essay questions that have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the analysis show that the average posttest score of the experimental class is 79.00, higher than the control class of 60.14. So, the average difference is 18.86. The prerequisite test shows that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The t-test results show that the Sig. (2-tailed) = t_count (5.665) > t_(table) (2.01), and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant average difference between the posttest results of the two classes. The effect size calculation obtained a Cohen's d value of 1.6 in the "Very Large" category, which means that the differentiated learning model has an influence on improving students' mathematical literacy abilities. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the ethnomathematics-based differentiated learning model has a significant and positive effect on improving students' mathematical literacy abilities as seen from the average learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning media, peer support, and family environment on the learning interest of class X Accounting students at SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh in the 2024/2025 academic year, both partially and simultaneously. This study used a quantitative approach with a population of 91 students, who were also sampled through a total sampling technique. Data analysis used multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination (R²), and the T and F tests, assisted by Eviews12 software. The results showed: 1) Teacher teaching style (X1) had a significant effect on learning interest (Y) with a coefficient of 0.260 and a calculated t of 3.489 > ttable 1.662. 2) Learning media (X2) had a significant effect (coefficient 0.319; calculated t 4.009). 3) Peer support (X3) had a significant effect (coefficient 0.375; calculated t 3.119). 4) Family environment (X4) also had a significant effect (coefficient 0.234; t-test 2.415). 5) All four variables simultaneously influenced learning interest, with F-test 13.01 > F-table 2.48.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in teaching daily prayers to students and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation at Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Awani Bangi. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach, focusing on an in-depth understanding of the ongoing learning process. The research subjects included teachers and students, and data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were used to directly observe learning activities, interviews were conducted to obtain information from teachers regarding the strategies implemented, and documentation served as supporting data. Data analysis techniques were carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results showed that the strategies used by teachers included habituation, repetition, role modeling, the use of learning media, and direct practice in daily activities. These strategies were deemed effective in instilling prayer habits in students from an early age. Supporting factors included teacher competence, a religious school environment, the availability of learning media, and parental support. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors identified included differences in student abilities, limited learning time, lack of habituation at home, low student concentration, and limited variety of learning media.Thus, the success of learning daily prayers is greatly influenced by appropriate strategies and support from the school and family environment. Therefore, synergy between teachers and parents is necessary to optimize ongoing learning.

Abstract

This study aims to increase children's independence through practical life activities in early childhood. Independence is a crucial aspect that needs to be developed from an early age because it influences their social, emotional, and cognitive development. However, based on initial observations, many children still rely on teachers for daily activities. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Twenty children participated in the study. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using percentage techniques. The results showed that children's independence increased in each cycle. In cycle I, most children were still in the "beginning to develop" category. Meanwhile, in cycle II, significant improvement occurred, with most children reaching the "developing" category as expected and developing very well. This improvement occurred because children began to become accustomed to carrying out practical life activities independently. Thus, practical life activities have proven effective in increasing children's independence and can be used as an alternative learning strategy in early childhood education (PAUD).

Abstract

This study aims to identify the forms of inner conflict experienced by the main character, Kawi Matin, in the novel Kawi Matin di Negeri Anjing by Arafat Nur based on Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, as well as to analyze the factors that cause these inner conflicts. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The primary data source is the novel published in 2020, consisting of 172 pages. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was tested through source, technique, and time triangulation to ensure the reliability of the findings.The results of the study indicate that the inner conflict experienced by Kawi Matin is dominated by the ego aspect with 55 quotations, followed by the superego with 25 quotations, and the id with 23 quotations. The dominance of the ego reflects the character’s effort to maintain psychological balance rationally in dealing with traumatic situations and environmental pressures. Meanwhile, the id and superego aspects reveal a conflict between instinctual drives and moral values that triggers inner anxiety.The most dominant factor causing inner conflict is the need for safety, with 42 quotations. This is followed by the need for love and belonging with 27 quotations, esteem needs with 24 quotations, physiological needs with 7 quotations, and self-actualization needs with 3 quotations. These findings indicate that the character’s inner conflict is influenced by the interaction of personality structures and the unfulfilled basic needs within a repressive social condition.

Abstract

This study examines sarcastic speech acts in TikTok comment sections related to the issue of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) salary increase in August 2025. This issue triggered widespread public attention and negative responses, particularly in digital spaces, due to perceived social and economic inequality. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the forms of locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts contained in sarcastic utterances expressed by netizens. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. The data were collected from comments on TikTok accounts @kompas.com and @cijesfel using documentation and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, classification, and interpretation based on speech act theory. The findings reveal that locutionary acts generally appear as literal statements, while illocutionary acts predominantly function as expressive sarcasm in the form of satire, criticism, and mockery. Meanwhile, perlocutionary acts show that sarcastic comments influence other users, generating responses such as agreement, reinforcement of criticism, and further sarcastic expressions. These findings indicate that sarcasm serves not only as a linguistic style but also as an effective tool for social criticism and opinion formation in digital communication.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Student satisfaction is a key indicator of educational service quality yet challenges often arise in student management services that can impact learning motivation. This study aims to analyze the level of student satisfaction and identify areas for improvement in student management services at SMP Negeri 8 Medan. This research utilizes a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected from 30 grade IX.2 students using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering five indicators: administrative services, information and communication, fairness, supporting facilities, and counseling. The findings indicate an overall satisfaction rate of 80.0% (score 4.00), falling within the "Satisfied" category. Specifically, four indicators (Information and Communication, Fairness, Counseling, and Administration) achieved "Very Satisfied" ratings. However, supporting facilities received the lowest score (68.6%), categorized as "Satisfied." Most students (76.7%) reported being satisfied with the services. These results suggest that while management is generally effective, school authorities should prioritize improving facilities to enhance the overall student experience. ABSTRAK Kepuasan siswa merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai kualitas layanan pendidikan, namun kendala dalam manajemen peserta didik sering kali masih ditemukan yang dapat berdampak pada motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan siswa dan mengidentifikasi aspek layanan peserta didik manajemen yang perlu ditingkatkan di SMP Negeri 8 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari 30 siswa kelas IX.2 melalui kuesioner skala Likert yang mencakup lima indikator: layanan administrasi, informasi dan komunikasi, keadilan, fasilitas pendampingan, serta bimbingan dan konseling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan tingkat kepuasan siswa mencapai 80,0% (skor 4,00) yang termasuk dalam kategori “Puas”. Empat indikator (Informasi dan Komunikasi, Keadilan, Layanan BK, dan Administrasi) mencapai kategori "Sangat Puas". Namun, indikator fasilitas pendukung memperoleh skor terendah sebesar 68,6% dengan kategori "Puas". Sebagian besar siswa (76,7%) berada pada kategori puas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan manajemen sudah berjalan dengan baik, namun pihak sekolah perlu memberikan perhatian lebih pada peningkatan fasilitas pendukung kegiatan siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital market education and financial literacy on Generation Z investment interest among students of Economics Education, State University of Medan. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires to 35 respondents. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that capital market education and financial literacy partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on students' investment interest. Capital market education has a more dominant influence than financial literacy. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.628 indicates that 62.8% of the variation in investment interest can be explained by these two variables, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study. Increasing capital market education and financial literacy is an important factor in encouraging Generation Z investment interest, especially students.
