Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the value of love in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as part of efforts to foster students’ religious and social character. This study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were obtained through the review of books, journal articles, and previous studies relevant to the focus of the research. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive-interpretative approach to examine the theoretical construction of love value indicators, the evaluation model in the psychomotor domain, and its implications for students’ prosocial behavior. The findings indicate that the value of love in PAI learning encompasses spiritual, social, and ecological dimensions that can be operationalized into evaluation indicators. The internalization of the value of love has been shown to have a close relationship with the improvement of students’ prosocial behavior, such as empathy, cooperation, and social concern. These findings emphasize the importance of authentic evaluation in PAI learning oriented toward the formation of noble character.

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of using the Problem Based Learning approach with Interactive PowerPoint on improving learning outcomes in class IV SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya, Padang City. The background is the discovery of observations where learning in the classroom is still the center of the teacher. Students lack engagement, are unaccustomed to discussion, and the use of interactive learning media remains minimal. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group and a quantitative methodology. The sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class totaling 54 students with 27 students each. The assessment instrument used was a multiple-choice objective test that had been validated for both validity and reliability. The research findings showed that the average Pre-Test result of the experimental class was 51.07 and the control class was 52.22 with the hypothesis test showing no significant difference (Sig. 0.755 > 0.05), meaning the initial proficiency levels of both classes were equivalent. After the intervention, the post-test score for the experimental class was 78.07 was superior when referred to the control class of 67.15. Using the Independent Sample T-Test for the hypothesis test, the Sig. value was found to be 0.001 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Interactive PowerPoint has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in science learning for grade IV of SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya, Padang City.

Micro teaching is a training method designed to improve the pedagogical competence of prospective teachers through teaching practice in a small and controlled setting. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing micro teaching in enhancing the pedagogical competence of prospective teachers, which includes the ability to plan lessons, carry out the learning process, and evaluate learning outcomes. The method used is a descriptive approach with data collected through observation, performance assessment, and participant self-reflection. The results show that the implementation of micro teaching is able to improve prospective teachers’ understanding of effective teaching strategies, classroom communication skills, as well as their ability to manage time and interact with students. In addition, feedback activities from lecturers and peers play an important role in improving the quality of teaching. Therefore, micro teaching is proven to be an effective means of preparing prospective teachers to become pedagogically competent before entering real classroom environments.

This study aims to examine the extent to which the application of the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model has a significant effect on students' creative thinking skills on the topic of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. Using a quasi-experimental approach with a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group design, which describes the causal relationship between variables. The sample was selected randomly, with the experimental class applying the POE model and the control class using the CPS learning approach. The research instruments included creative thinking observation sheets, student activities, and teacher activities, while data analysis was carried out using the t-test. The results of the creative thinking observation showed that the average creative thinking score of the control class was 51.42, which is in the fairly good category, while the experimental class obtained an average of 54.53 with the same category. When viewed based on the results of observations of student activities, it shows that the average creative thinking score of the control class was 67.74, which is in the good category, while the experimental class obtained an average of 68.33, which is in the good category. Data were analyzed using the t-test, after previously conducting normality and homogeneity tests. The test results show that there is a significant difference between the two classes, indicated by the t-count value which is greater than the t-table, namely 2.77 > 1.67.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode reward dan punishment terhadap kedisiplinan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas IV di SDN Jatirejo Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimen melalui desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 21 peserta didik kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, dan uji Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 59,05, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest meningkat menjadi 83,81. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari metode reward dan punishment terhadap kedisiplinan belajar peserta didik. Dengan demikian, metode reward dan punishment dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika.

This study aims to examine how elementary school-aged children acquire and learn language, and to identify factors that influence this language learning process. The method used in this study is a literature study, namely by collecting and analyzing various written materials such as journals, books, scientific articles, and related supporting documents. The results of the study indicate that language learning is a natural process that begins in childhood, through how children interact with their surroundings, especially in acquiring a first language. Meanwhile, language learning is a conscious, structured, and formal process, generally occurring in the school environment in an effort to master a second language. Factors that influence how someone acquires and learns a language include the surrounding environment, how parents use the first language, the child's physical and biological condition, and the type of social guidance provided by the family and school. The findings also indicate that an imbalance between how children learn their first language and the process of learning a second language can cause obstacles in the development of their language skills. Therefore, cooperation between the family and school environment is necessary for children's language development to be achieved properly.

Writing skills are the ability to organize and develop highly complex logical ideas within a system, expressing critical and emotional thinking to produce meaningful written work. Writing skills are not only essential in academic settings but also across various professional and social fields. However, many people struggle to develop adequate writing skills. This can be attributed to various factors, such as a lack of understanding of how to write, difficulty in organizing ideas, and a lack of constructive feedback. While being a writer is indeed appealing, the moral responsibility in the afterlife must be taken seriously. This study aims to identify the development of ideas and effective strategies for improving writing skills so that they are meaningful. The methodology used is a historical study approach as part of a qualitative method with a descriptive model to obtain a realistic picture based on facts. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with a blog writer who served as the research subject, and document analysis was performed to gather empirical data. The results of the study indicate that writing skills can be improved through several strategies, namely diligently reading various types of texts, writing regularly even in small amounts, and accepting feedback from others. These strategies can help develop ideas, understand writing structure, and boost motivation. With the application of appropriate conceptual strategies, writing skills can be significantly improved, resulting in informative and engaging works that embody the spirit of “mâ lâ yatimm al-wâjib illâ bihi fa huwa wâjib” (that which is necessary for the fulfillment of an obligation is itself an obligation) and serve as a mercy to all creation.

Literacy and numeracy skills are fundamental competencies for elementary school students, yet teachers at SDN Purworejo 01 still have limited digital technology skills to simple media. This activity aims to improve teachers' digital literacy skills in designing interactive learning media to support literacy and numeracy learning. The activity's implementation method included observation, coordination, material preparation, and a workshop, which included material delivery and hands-on media creation. The results showed an improvement in teachers' skills in using digital platforms such as Wordwall, Quizizz, and Padlet. Teachers successfully produced learning media in the form of interactive quizzes and educational games that positively impacted student enthusiasm and focus in class. The conclusion of this activity was that the workshop was effective in increasing teacher confidence and the quality of technology-based literacy and numeracy learning.

This study analyzes the Strengthening of Integrated Social Studies Learning as an Alternative to Addressing Disorientation in Students' Social Behavior in the Era of Globalization through a literature review method. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method that examines several relevant scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that the development of globalization has influenced changes in students' social behavior, such as decreased social awareness, weakened tolerance, increased individualistic behavior, and low social responsibility. Integrated social studies learning plays a crucial role in shaping and strengthening students' social values through the integration of various social science disciplines such as geography, history, economics, and sociology into contextual learning. Through an active, participatory learning approach based on social problem-solving, students can develop social awareness, tolerance, critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate. Therefore, strengthening integrated social studies learning can be an effective alternative to addressing disorientation in students' social behavior in the era of globalization.

In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, academic writing skills are a requirement that students must meet. This study aims to analyze the influence of AI feedback and learning motivation on students’ academic writing skills, with self-confidence serving as a mediating variable. The research problem stems from low writing skills, where only 2 out of 30 students have ever published in a SINTA journal, amidst advancements in AI that offer real-time feedback to address conventional delays. The study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population consists of 168 students from the Accounting Education Department, Class of 2022, at Semarang State University, with a sample of 118 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results indicate significant direct effects: AI feedback (t=2.618, p=0.010), learning motivation (t=4.052, p=0.000), and self-confidence (t=2.682, p=0.008) on writing skills; AI feedback (t=3.899, p=0.000) and motivation (t=5.792, p=0.000) on self-confidence. Indirectly, self-confidence mediates the effects of AI feedback (t=2.168, p=0.032) and motivation (t=2.541, p=0.012) on writing skills. These findings indicate that the use of AI technology, supported by learning motivation and self-confidence, can optimally enhance students’ academic writing skills.
