Abstract

This study aims to examine and describe the patterns of interpersonal communication employed by parents in developing the religious character of adolescents in Bungi Village, Bungku Tengah District, Morowali Regency. Effective interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents constitutes one of the key factors in shaping religious character among the younger generation, particularly amid the growing influence of external cultures and the rapid advancement of information technology. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach utilizing in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. Research subjects consisted of parents and adolescents residing in Bungi Village. Data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that parents' interpersonal communication in Bungi Village is conducted through dialogic approaches, role-modeling, and continuous supervision. Communication patterns applied include verbal communication in the form of advice, motivation, and discussions of religious values, as well as nonverbal communication through parents' daily attitudes and behaviors. The development of adolescents' religious character encompasses the instillation of worship values, noble morals, and social responsibility based on Islamic teachings. Supporting factors include a harmonious family environment and active participation in religious activities within the community, while inhibiting factors include the influence of social media and free association that tend to erode adolescents' religious values. This study concludes that warm, open, and consistent interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents plays a significant role in building strong religious character. Synergy among family, school, and society is required to create a conducive ecosystem for the development of adolescents' religious character.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low reading literacy skills of fifth-grade students in the Indonesian language subject at SD Negeri 1 Blitarrejo. This study aims to determine the improvement in students’ reading literacy skills. This research uses a quantitative approach. The research design applies a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The data collection techniques include reading literacy test items, observation, and documentation. The data are analyzed using the N-Gain test. The results of this study indicate that RADEC-based LKPD has an effect as an effort to improve students’ reading literacy skills in the Indonesian language subject at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study examines students’ learning difficulties in solving mathematical word problems on data presentation material in Grade III at SDN Pandeanlamper 05 Semarang. The problem underlying this research is that many students still experience difficulties in understanding concepts, interpreting questions, and applying appropriate problem-solving strategies. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of learning difficulties experienced by students and to identify the factors that influence these difficulties. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through tests, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques with triangulation to ensure validity. The results show that students experience difficulties in several aspects, including understanding problem statements, determining problem-solving strategies, performing calculations, and rechecking answers. These difficulties are influenced by internal factors such as low learning motivation and limited conceptual understanding, as well as external factors such as teaching methods and limited use of learning media. The findings imply that teachers need to apply more varied instructional strategies and provide concrete learning media to help students better understand mathematical concepts and improve their problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of a multisensory teaching approach in elementary school science lessons.  Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, the study spanned three cycles.  The primary objectives were to evaluate the impact of the multisensory method on student learning outcomes and classroom engagement. Data were collected through tests and observations.  Results indicated a significant improvement in both learning outcomes and student engagement.  Specifically, Cycle 1 showed a sufficient level of achievement (score of 32), which progressed to good (64) in Cycle 2 and very good (88) in Cycle 3.  Similarly, active student participation increased from 6 students in Cycle 1 to 17 in Cycle 2 and 23 in Cycle 3.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning motivation of third-grade students at MIS Al-Bashirah in the Pancasila Education subject, "Different is Beautiful," through the use of interactive learning media. The background of this study is low student learning motivation, which impacts student participation and lack of interest in conventional learning processes.This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The subjects were 22 third-grade students at MIS Al-Bashirah. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and d1ocumentation. The results showed that the use of interactive learning media successfully increased student learning motivation. This was evident in the increase in student motivation indicators from 30% in the pre-cycle, 56% in the first cycle, 72% in the second cycle, and 85% in the third cycle. Observation sheets showed improvements in student comfort in learning, active participation, clear interest in the material, and discipline during learning. These improvements demonstrate that interactive learning media are effective in creating a more engaging learning environment and fostering student motivation. It was concluded that interactive learning media can be an effective solution for increasing student learning motivation in Pancasila Education. It is recommended that teachers integrate interactive learning media into their teaching practices to create more innovative and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of using TikTok as an informal digital learning medium for developing English speaking skills. With its growing popularity, TikTok has become an important platform for authentic language practice, yet its use in the EFL context in Indonesia still lacks a unified theoretical framework. This study aims to (1) explore how university students use and perceive TikTok, (2) analyze its impact on their speaking proficiency and confidence, and (3) identify the challenges and self-regulation strategies they develop. This research employs a qualitative case study approach involving five English teacher training students selected through purposive sampling. The criteria include students who actively use TikTok for learning and practicing speaking, utilize its features, and demonstrate good speaking ability based on academic performance. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically by integrating Social Learning Theory (SLT), Communicative Competence Theory (CCT), and Krashen’s Monitor Model. The findings reveal that students act as autonomous agents who strategically utilize the platform’s features. TikTok is perceived to have a holistic impact, improving both linguistic aspects (pronunciation and fluency) and affective factors such as self-confidence. The integration of the three theories provides a strong explanatory framework, particularly through Krashen’s Affective Filter concept, which highlights the role of confidence. The study implies that educators should shift their role toward facilitating digital literacy and metacognitive skills.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low use of digital media in learning at elementary schools. The purpose of this study was to develop an Interactive LKPD assisted by the Wordwall website application in Indonesian language learning for fifth grade elementary school students. The research problems were obtained from observations and interviews conducted in several schools, namely SD Negeri 16 Pagambiran, SD Negeri 25 Pagambiran, and SD Negeri 35 Pagambiran. The results of the observations showed that teachers and students were still not optimal in utilizing digital technology in the learning process. This condition caused low student participation, learning interest, and learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collected included validity, practicality, and effectiveness data. The results showed that the developed Interactive LKPD had a very good validity level with percentages of 96% from material experts, 81% from language experts, and 93% from media experts. The practicality results showed percentages of 95% from teachers and 95.75% from students with a very practical category. In addition, the effectiveness results showed percentages of 85.71% in the trial school and 91.67% in the research school with a very effective category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Interactive LKPD assisted by the Wordwall website is appropriate to be used in Indonesian language learning for fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in handling social conflicts among students in the classroom. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and interviews. The subject of this study was a PAI teacher at SDN 2 Linggasari Darang dan Purwakarta. The findings indicate that social conflicts among students are generally caused by personal factors such as teasing, differences of opinion, and competition. The strategies used by PAI teachers include religious approaches, mediation through open dialogue, personal approaches, and the habituation of good moral values in daily activities. These strategies are not only reactive but also preventive and educative in shaping students’ character. Therefore, the role of PAI teachers is crucial in creating a harmonious and conducive classroom environment through the internalization of Islamic values. Abstract

The level of learning achievement in Natural and Social Sciences among elementary school students is still low, indicating the need for the implementation of learning innovations that can increase active participation while deepening students' understanding more optimally. One effort that is considered relevant is the use of game-based learning media designed according to the developmental characteristics and learning needs of elementary school students. The following research aims to examine the effect of the use of the Froggy Jumps game on the learning achievement of third-grade students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences at SD Negeri Kembang 01. The following research applies a quantitative approach through a quasi-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest. The research population includes all third-grade students of SD Negeri Kembang 01. In the following research, sampling uses a saturated sampling technique, so that all members of the population are used as research samples, with a total of 24. Data acquisition in this research was carried out through the administration of learning outcome tests carried out before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical approaches that include the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Paired Sample t-Test hypothesis test. The findings of this study indicate that the use of the Froggy Jumps game has a significant impact on improving student learning achievement, as evidenced by the disparity in learning outcomes between the pretest and posttest. These findings confirm that educational game-based learning media has the potential to be a strategic alternative for educators in improving the quality of science learning while strengthening the development of interactive learning models in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating local wisdom materials in Social Studies (IPS) to improve the communication skills of 6th-grade elementary school students. Local wisdom is seen as a contextual and relevant learning instrument for students' cultural identity. The research method used is a literature study (library research) by analyzing the results of research on the development of learning tools based on local culture. The study results show that the use of materials based on local wisdom significantly encourages more active social interaction in the classroom, increases students' courage in expressing opinions, and strengthens democratic values in communication. The conclusion of this study confirms that local wisdom functions as a bridge between social theory and real communication practices, which ultimately improves students' interpersonal competence at the elementary school level.
