Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability of eighth-grade students of the SPF Unit of SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan to review short stories using the circuit learning model. This study used a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental Design approach, and the sample consisted of 31 students in the experimental class and 31 students in the control class. The sampling method was simple random sampling. Data analysis involved the use of normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests. The results showed that the experimental class obtained an average score of 85.32, while the control class obtained an average score of 44.35. As indicated by the average scores, it can be concluded that the experimental class obtained higher scores than the control class. This indicates that the use of the circuit learning model is more effective in improving students' ability to review short stories. This improvement was also proven by hypothesis testing, namely that t count > t table, i.e. 10.301 > 2.00, thus it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This indicates that the use of the circuit learning model has an effect on the ability to review fictional works of the short story type of eighth-grade students at the UPT SPF SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan.

Abstract

This study examines the correlation between Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization among Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students and their level of academic self-efficacy. A quantitative approach was employed using simple Pearson correlation analysis. The research involved 20 students as participants. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire based on a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5, comprising 10 statement items, with the first 5 items measuring AI usage (X) and the remaining 5 items assessing self-efficacy (Y). Statistical analysis revealed a Pearson correlation coefficient of r = 0.859 with p < 0.001, confirming a highly significant and strong positive association between the intensity of AI use and the academic self-efficacy of PGSD students.

Abstract

The development of Generation Alpha in elementary schools indicates a significant shift in character and value literacy, driven by digital technology and the complex dynamics of the 21st century. This study aims to analyze student character changes and the transformation of value literacy through a comprehensive literature review. The method employed is a systematic literature study of relevant journals, books, and research reports from the last decade. Analysis reveals that while Generation Alpha is highly tech-adaptive, creative, and efficient in accessing information, they face challenges in discipline, social empathy, learning resilience, and self-regulation regarding technology use. Furthermore, value literacy has shifted from conventional forms toward more contextual, flexible, and digital-based values. This study concludes that a synergistic role between schools, teachers, and families is essential to balance character education with technology. Recommendations include strengthening adaptive curricula and collaborative learning strategies to develop holistic, critical, and competitive students for the future.

Abstract

Creativity is one of the important skills that needs to be developed in elementary school students to face the challenges of 21st-century learning. However, low student creativity is still a problem in the learning process because learning tends to be teacher-centered, causing students to be less active in developing ideas and solving problems. One learning model that can be used to improve student creativity is Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the creativity of elementary school students. This study used a literature review method by analyzing various scientific articles obtained from Google Scholar and GARUDA databases published between 2016–2026. The article selection process was carried out using the PRISMA flow diagram. Based on the search results, 31 articles were obtained and then selected until 10 articles met the inclusion criteria and were relevant to the research topic. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student creativity through problem-solving activities, group discussions, critical thinking, and active idea development. In addition, the PBL model also has a positive impact on learning activeness, communication skills, collaboration, and student learning outcomes. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can be used as an effective innovative learning model to create active, creative, and meaningful learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mensintesis hasil-hasil penelitian terkait pengaruh video pembelajaran berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengacu pada tahapan identifikasi, screening, eligibility, dan inclusion. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran berbagai artikel ilmiah dari database Google Schoolar dan jurnal nasional terakreditasi dengan kata kunci yang relevan. Artikel yang dipilih diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik sintesis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan kecenderungan hasil penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan RME memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, terutama dalam memahami, menginterpretasikan, dan menyelesaikan masalah matematika kontekstual. Integrasi media video dalam pembelajaran berbasis RME terbukti mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran melalui penyajian materi yang lebih visual, interaktif, dan menarik. Selain meningkatkan hasil belajar secara kognitif, penggunaan video pembelajaran juga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala dalam implementasinya, seperti keterbatasan akses teknologi, kesiapan guru, serta pengembangan media yang masih belum optimal. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa video pembelajaran berbasis RME merupakan pendekatan yang potensial dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan pembelajaran matematika yang lebih kontekstual, inovatif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di era digital.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of digital literacy on elementary school teachers’ performance with work engagement as a mediating variable. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey design in Mandalawangi District, Pandeglang Regency. The sample consisted of 51 teachers from 7 elementary schools selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through linear regression and mediation testing with IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The findings indicate that digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (β = 0.853; p < 0.05). Digital literacy also has a significant effect on work engagement (β = 0.680; p < 0.05), and work engagement significantly affects teacher performance (β = 0.392; p < 0.05). The mediation analysis shows that work engagement partially mediates the relationship between digital literacy and teacher performance. These findings contribute to the development of a teacher performance improvement model that emphasizes both digital competence and work engagement in elementary education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using Baamboozle, an ICTbased learning media, in enhancing students' cognitive learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The primary problem addressed in this study is the low level of student learning achievement, where 60.3% of students have not reached the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods. This study is quantitative in nature, employing a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population comprised 320 students, with samples taken from classes VII-G (experimental) and VII-F (control), each consisting of 32 students selected via purposive sampling. Data were gathered through tests (pre-test and post-test), perception questionnaires, and observations, followed by analysis using independent sample t-tests and N-Gain Score calculations facilitated by SPSS 25. The results indicate a significant effect of using Baamboozle media on student learning outcomes, with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The average post-test score for the experimental class (86.05) was significantly higher than that of the control class (73.99). N-Gain analysis showed that the experimental class's effectiveness reached 0.66 (Moderate/Fairly Effective Category), whereas the control class only reached 0.33 (Low Category). Additionally, student perceptions of Baamboozle media fell into the very strong category, with percentages exceeding 90% across all dimensions. In conclusion, Baamboozle media is effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes and active student engagement in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of classical guidance services assisted by audiovisual media in improving students’ understanding of bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 3 Entikong. The research employed an experimental method with a true experimental design using a posttest-only control design. The sample consisted of 40 students selected through a simple random sampling technique and divided into an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 20 students. The experimental group received classical guidance services using audiovisual media, while the control group received conventional classical guidance services. Data were analyzed using the Independent Sample ttest with the assistance of SPSS version 22. The results showed that the mean score of the experimental group was 139.5, which was higher than the control group’s mean score of 120.05. The Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicated a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that classical guidance services assisted by audiovisual media are effective in improving students’ understanding of bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 3 Entikong.

Abstract

The research problem addressed in this study is: “Can the implementation of the PAKEM approach assisted by Monopoly-based educational game media improve students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies for fourth-grade students at SDN No. 11 Kota Barat, Gorontalo City?” This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of SDN No. 11 Kota Barat, Gorontalo City. The findings revealed that students’ learning outcomes improved in each cycle of the study. In the first meeting of Cycle I, out of 11 students, only 5 students achieved the minimum mastery criterion (KKM), representing 45% of the class. In the second meeting of Cycle I, the number of students who achieved mastery increased to 7 students, or 64%. However, the performance indicators and achievement targets had not yet been fulfilled; therefore, the research was continued to Cycle II to further examine the effectiveness of the PAKEM approach and the educational game media employed. In the first meeting of Cycle II, 9 students achieved mastery learning with a percentage of 82%, exceeding the predetermined performance indicator target of 80%. These results indicate a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the PAKEM approach assisted by Monopoly-based educational game media effectively improved the Social Studies learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN No. 11 Kota Barat, Gorontalo City.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the main motivations and reasons people choose entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of young entrepreneurs in North Sumatra. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method through direct observation and in-depth interviews. The results show that entrepreneurial motivation stems from internal and external factors that interact with each other, including economic pressures, family responsibilities, spiritual values, the desire for independence, opportunity exploitation, and social concern. These findings are reinforced by entrepreneurial motivation theories that emphasize the role of push and pull factors in the decision to start a business. This research is expected to contribute to the development of entrepreneurship education in higher education and serve as a reference for prospective young Indonesian entrepreneurs.
