Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through The Seven Habits program in history learning at SMA Peradaban Boarding School, Serang City, for the 2025/2026 academic year. This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening character education amidst increasingly complex developments, especially in the educational environment. History learning not only functions as a means of delivering academic material, but also has an important role in shaping the attitudes, morals, and character of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and data triangulation. Research informants consisted of the principal, history teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of The Seven Habits program in history learning has been running well through the habituation of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, leadership, and critical thinking skills in students. This program is implemented both in the classroom learning process and in daily school activities. Supporting factors for program implementation include the boarding school-based and inclusive school environment, teacher support, and a positive school culture. Meanwhile, obstacles identified included differences in student character, varying levels of discipline, and the need for consistency in character building. Therefore, The Seven Habits program is considered to have a positive influence on character development in students learning history.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of code-mixing in the Balinese Language Student Worksheet (Lembar Kerja Siswa/LKS) for Grade VIII at SMP Bintang Persada Denpasar. The focus of this research includes the forms of code-mixing, the causal factors, and its functions in instructional materials. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through documentation and content analysis of the LKS used in the learning process. The results indicate that code-mixing in the LKS appears in the form of words (basic words/kruna lingga, derived words/kruna tiron, and reduplicated words/kruna dwi lingga) and phrases, categorized into necessary and unnecessary loanwords. The factors causing code-mixing include internal linguistic factors, such as the limited vocabulary of the Balinese language, and external linguistic factors, such as language habits, the influence of Indonesian, and curriculum demands. Furthermore, code-mixing serves several functions in learning, namely ideational, imaginative, informative, poetic, and metalinguistic functions. Although code-mixing can facilitate students’ understanding of the material, its uncontrolled use may reduce the purity of the Balinese language. Therefore, efforts are needed to optimize the use of Balinese in instructional materials while maintaining communicative effectiveness without neglecting linguistic norms

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low moral understanding of elementary school students, marked by cases of bullying and student fights. This condition is worsened by conventional learning methods and minimal use of technology-based media, so moral values in Civic Education (PKN) are not fully understood. This study aims to: (1) describe the development process of animated video learning media on norms in life, and (2) determine its effectiveness in improving moral understanding of fifth-grade students at SDN Kuta Pasie. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), involving 21 fifth-grade students as a saturated sample. The animated video was developed using Canva and validated by material and media experts. Results showed combined validity of 95.415% (Very Valid), practicality of 90% (Very Practical), and significant learning improvement with average scores increasing from 47.62 (pretest) to 82.38 (posttest), with 90.47% class completion rate. It is concluded that the animated video learning media is feasible, practical, and effective in improving students' moral understanding of norms in life in Civics learning at class V SDN Kuta Pasie.

Abstract

This Study Objective: This study aims to determine how active students are in writing poetry after using an independent learning model among eleventh-grade students. This research is a quantitative experimental study with a group pre-test-post-test design. Quantitative research is a systematic investigation of a phenomenon and the collection of measurable data using statistical, mathematical, or computational techniques. The population in this study was 276 students, and a sample of 35 students was drawn using a cluster sampling technique. Data were collected through poetry writing tests before and after the treatment. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 75.97 and increased to 82.91 in the post-test. The t-test results showed that the calculated t-value was higher than the t-table, indicating a significant effect. Thus, the independent learning model is effective in improving students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still various obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in science learning at elementary schools. This study aims to analyze and describe the various problems that arise in the implementation process. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining 10 relevant scientific articles through the stages of data collection, selection, and systematic analysis. The results of the study show that the obstacles commonly found include teachers' lack of understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum concepts, difficulties in preparing learning tools, limitations of supporting facilities and technology, as well as training that is not yet optimal and evenly distributed. In science learning, teachers also experience difficulties in applying the scientific approach, conducting authentic assessments, and adjusting learning to the needs of students. Nevertheless, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is considered capable increasing student participation and learning interest. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve teacher competence accompanied by support in facilities and continuous training so that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum can run more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify the learning motivation of inmates in participating in equivalency education at PKBM Bina Lapaskas Center in Class III Rangkasbitung Correctional Facility, and (2) examine the factors influencing inmates’ learning motivation in the program. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach through a case study.The data sources consist of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and direct observation involving 15 informants, including inmates participating in Package A, B, and C programs, equivalency education tutors, and the management of PKBM Bina Lapaskas Center. Meanwhile, secondary data were collected from PKBM administrative documents, inmate attendance records, learning activity reports, inmates’ certificates, as well as relevant books and journal articles. The data analysis technique was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that (1) the learning motivation of inmates in participating in equivalency education is still not optimal, as reflected in several indicators such as inconsistent attendance, varying levels of activeness in the learning process, uneven seriousness in completing assignments, and participation in educational activities that still needs to be improved. (2) the factors influencing learning motivation consist of internal and external factors. Internal factors include the desire to improve oneself, future expectations, as well as varying levels of interest and learning awareness among individuals. External factors include tutor support, learning methods, the learning environment within the correctional facility, and limited learning facilities, all of which affect inmates’ involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between sports health knowledge and the prevention of doping use among athletics athletes. The problem addressed in this study is based on the ongoing risk of doping use among athletes due to the lack of understanding regarding sports health and the dangers of prohibited substances. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 30 athletics athletes who were actively training and had participated in competitions, selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that the athletes’ level of sports health knowledge was in the good category, while the level of doping prevention was in the high category. The correlation test results indicated a correlation coefficient value of 0.672 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between sports health knowledge and the prevention of doping use among athletics athletes. The higher the athletes’ sports health knowledge, the higher their awareness and efforts to prevent doping use. Therefore, sports health education and anti-doping socialization programs need to be improved to create a healthy, safe, and fair play-oriented sports environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) and smartboard as interactive media in improving IPAS learning outcomes of elementary school students, identify supporting factors for successful implementation, and describe their impact on student motivation and active engagement. The background of this study is the dominance of lecture methods in IPAS learning, resulting in low student motivation and many students failing to meet the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This study employed a Narrative/Integrative Literature Review approach analyzing 10 SINTA-indexed national journal articles published in 2024-2026, obtained through systematic searches on Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda portal. Data were analyzed descriptively-analytically through three stages of the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and synthesis. Findings consistently show that the use of IFP and smartboard significantly increases average scores and learning mastery across all reviewed studies. Both media also improve student motivation and active participation through visualizations of images, animations, videos, and touch screen features, making learning more active and meaningful. Implementation success is greatly influenced by teachers' TPACK competence in combining digital media with active learning models such as IBL and PBL.

Abstract

In the rapidly developing digital era, the use of technology such as mobile phoneshas become an inseparable part of the learning process at various levels ofeducation. The presence of this technology offers many opportunities to improvethe quality of learning, such as facilitating access to information, supportinginteractive learning, and helping students understand material in a more engagingand contextual way. However, the implementation of technology in education alsopresents various challenges that must be faced by teachers.One of the main obstacles is the limited technological skills possessed by someteachers, especially those who are not yet familiar with using digital devices inteaching activities. In addition, there is still an infrastructure gap, such as limitedinternet access and supporting devices in certain areas, which hinders the optimaluseoftechnology.Moreover,excessiveuseofmobilephonescanleadtonegativeimpacts, such as decreased learning concentration and increased studentdependence on gadgets.To overcome these challenges, appropriate and sustainable solutions are needed.Technology training for teachers is an important step so that they can utilizetechnology effectively in the classroom. Furthermore, improving access toinfrastructure must be a priority. On the other hand, teachers need toimplementbalancedandwisemanagementoftechnologyusesothatstudentsremainfocusedonlearningobjectives.Withastrategicapproach,technologyintegrationcancreatea more effective, engaging, and relevant learning experience that aligns with theneeds of the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze leadership dynamics in rapid decision-making within the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Sumatra Province. The background of this research is based on the high level of disaster vulnerability in the region, which requires adaptive and responsive leadership in emergency situations. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that leadership in emergency situations is characterized by the ability to manage time pressure, limited information, and cross-sector coordination. Furthermore, the implementation of collaborative and transformational leadership plays a significant role in improving decision-making effectiveness. These findings indicate that leadership flexibility and communication skills are key factors in successful disaster management.Keywords: leadership; decision making; disaster management; BPBD; collaboration
