Abstract

The low literacy skills among elementary school students remain a critical educational challenge that cannot be resolved by schools alone. This study aims to analyze the principal's instructional leadership strategies in establishing family partnerships to strengthen students' reading and writing skills. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, and documentation tracking involving the principal, teachers, and parents. The data were then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results revealed three simultaneous managerial strategies: the formulation of a collaborative literacy covenant with the school committee, the implementation of dual-track pedagogical capacity building through teachers’ learning communities and parenting classes, and the arrangement of a routine monitoring system using daily reading logbooks. This integrated framework effectively shifted the literacy habituation from the classroom to the domestic space, achieving a 75% parental compliance rate. In conclusion, the synergy between instructional leadership and family engagement creates learning continuity that successfully mitigates students' literacy lag in elementary education.

Abstract

Examines the philosophical foundation for developing a game-based learning cycle model integrated with Acehnese ethnopedagogy to improve elementary school students' conceptual understanding. The problem addressed in this study is that elementary learning often remains teacher-centered, abstract, and insufficiently connected to students' cultural background and daily experiences. This study aims to formulate the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations of a learning model that combines the learning cycle approach, play-based activities, and Acehnese local wisdom as a source of meaningful learning. This research uses a qualitative conceptual-philosophical method through literature review and critical analysis of recent studies on learning cycle, game-based learning, ethnopedagogy, Acehnese culture, and conceptual understanding in elementary education. The results show that, ontologically, learning is understood as an active and contextual process involving students, games, social interaction, local environment, and Acehnese cultural values. Epistemologically, knowledge is constructed through exploration, concept introduction, concept application, play-based experience, reflection, and interpretation of Acehnese local wisdom. Axiologically, the model is directed toward improving conceptual understanding, increasing learning motivation, strengthening character, preserving Acehnese cultural identity, and creating enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, the proposed model provides a strong philosophical basis for designing innovative, contextual, culturally responsive, and meaningful learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi digital terhadap minat baca siswa kelas IV UPTD SD Inpres Naimata Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto. Populasi dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 22 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh (total sampling). Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen kuesioner berskala Likert yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas (Cronbach’s Alpha literasi digital 0,841 dan minat baca 0,882). Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan memiliki hubungan linear. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana menghasilkan persamaan $Y = 25,116 + 0,621X$. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai t-hitung (3,049) > t-tabel dengan signifikansi 0,006 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Koefisien determinasi (R-Square) sebesar 0,317 menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital berkontribusi sebesar 31,7% terhadap minat baca siswa, sedangkan 68,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kesimpulannya, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan literasi digital terhadap minat baca siswa, mengindikasikan bahwa pemanfaatan media digital edukatif secara tepat dapat menstimulasi ketertarikan membaca siswa.

Abstract

The role of Majelis Taklim and Sholawat Diba Kubro as a medium of Islamic religious instruction in the community of Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency. This study utilized a qualitative method featuring a field research framework. Data were gathered via observation, comprehensive interviews, and documentation. The study participants included the majelis management, religious leaders, and community members involved in the activities. The findings reveal that Majelis Taklim and Sholawat Diba Kubro play an important role as non-formal Islamic educational media through the delivery of Islamic teachings, habituation of worship practices, moral development, and strengthening social solidarity within society. The Islamic educational values embedded in these activities include faith, worship, morality, Islamic brotherhood, tolerance, and social responsibility. The effects of these actions are reflected in the heightened religious awareness within the community, the growth of worship awareness, and the establishment of harmonious social relationships among residents. Abstract

Early reading ability constitutes a fundamental literacy skill that influences students' subsequent academic development. However, many first-grade elementary school students continue to experience difficulties in letter recognition, syllable decoding, word identification, and simple sentence reading. This study aimed to examine the effect of bulletin board media on the early reading ability of first-grade students at SDK St. Yoseph 2 Kupang City. The research employed a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study involved 25 first-grade students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using an early reading achievement test administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality testing, paired sample t-test, and normalized gain (N-Gain) analysis. The descriptive results indicated an increase in students’ reading performance after the implementation of bulletin board media. The paired sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Furthermore, the N-Gain score reached 72.95%, which falls within the high effectiveness category. These findings demonstrate that bulletin board media contributes positively to the improvement of students’ early reading ability by facilitating letter recognition, syllable formation, word reading, and simple sentence comprehension. The study suggests that bulletin board media can serve as an effective, practical, and low-cost instructional medium for strengthening early literacy learning in elementary schools

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of market orientation on marketing performance with the mediating role of digital marketing among café and restaurant SMEs in Purworejo Regency. Increasing business competition and rapid digital transformation require business owners to understand market needs while effectively utilizing digital platforms in their marketing activities. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving owners or managers of café and restaurant SMEs in Purworejo Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that market orientation has a positive and significant effect on both marketing performance and digital marketing. Digital marketing also has a positive and significant effect on marketing performance. Furthermore, digital marketing mediates the relationship between market orientation and marketing performance, indicating that a deeper understanding of customer needs can improve marketing performance more effectively when supported by digital technology utilization. The results contribute theoretically to the development of market orientation and digital marketing literature and provide practical implications for SME owners in designing adaptive marketing strategies to enhance business competitiveness and marketing outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of the Observation Report (Observation Report) text material in the 8th-grade Indonesian language textbook for the Independent Curriculum Phase D published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (2021) by Maya Lestari Gusfitri and Elly Delfia with the Learning Outcomes (CP) of the Independent Curriculum Phase D, covering four language skill components: listening, reading and viewing, speaking and presenting, and writing. The method used was descriptive qualitative research with content analysis. Data sources came from a documentation study of Chapter I of the textbook, which specifically covers the Observation Report text. The analysis revealed that the Observation Report material in the textbook demonstrated a high level of suitability with the CP of the Independent Curriculum Phase D, particularly in the reading, viewing, and writing aspects. However, there were shortcomings in the listening aspect, which was not fully covered explicitly. These results benefit teachers in developing more comprehensive CP-based learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of implementing the Mind Mapping technique on students’ self-confidence in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP IT Al-Ridwan Karawang. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 35 eighth-grade students of SMP IT Al-Ridwan Karawang. Data were collected through questionnaires to assess the implementation of the Mind Mapping technique and observation sheets to measure students’ self-confidence. Data analysis included validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, linearity testing, simple linear regression analysis, t-test analysis, and coefficient of determination (R²) analysis. The findings revealed that the mean score of the Mind Mapping variable was 63.40, while the mean score of students’ self-confidence was 66.34, both of which were categorized as moderate. The results of the simple linear regression analysis produced the regression equation Y = 11,153 + 0.870 X, indicating a positive relationship between the implementation of the Mind Mapping technique and students’ self-confidence. Furthermore, the hypothesis test showed a t-value of 15.767 with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the proposed hypothesis was accepted. The coefficient of determination (R²) was found to be 88.3%, demonstrating that the Mind Mapping technique contributed substantially to enhancing students’ self-confidence. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Mind Mapping technique has a positive and significant effect on students’ self-confidence in learning Islamic Religious Education at SMP IT Al-Ridwan Karawang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif dan signifikan Media Visual Pop Up Book Oleh Penyuluh Agama Kristen Terhadap Minat Belajar Anak Di Kelompok Binaan Anak Desa Sipultak Kecamatan Pagaran 2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi adalah anak Desa Sipultak Kecamatan Pagaran berjumlah 72 orang dan ditetapkan sampel sebanyak 30 orang yaitu anak berusia 9-13 tahun menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket tertutup positif sebanyak 40 item. Hasil analisis uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, uji korelasi Product Moment (rxy), uji t, serta analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 1) Uji persyaratan analisis: a) pada uji hubungan positif, diperoleh nilai rxy = 0,576 yang lebih besar dari rtabel = 0,361, sehingga terdapat hubungan positif antara media visual pop up book (X) minat belajar anak (Y), b) pada uji hubungan signifikan, diperoleh nilai thitung = 3,725 yang lebih besar dari ttabel = 2,048 pada tingkat signifikansi α = 0,05, sehingga hubungan tersebut dianggap signifikan. 2) Uji pengaruh: a) pada uji persamaan regresi, diperoleh persamaan Y = 5,151+ 0,808X, yang menunjukkan bahwa setiap peningkatan 1 satuan pada media visual pop up book akan meningkatkan minat belajar anak sebesar 0,808 satuan, b) pada uji koefisien determinasi regresi (R²) = 0,308, artinya 30,8% dari variasi perkembangan sosio-emosional lansia dapat dijelaskan oleh penyuluhan agama Kristen, sedangkan 69,2% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor di luar penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, yang menunjukkan bahwa media visual pop up book memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat belajar anak di kelompok binaan anak Desa Sipultak Kecamatan Pagaran 2025.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the artistic creativity of children aged 5-6 years through ecoprinting batik activities at TK Negeri Satu Atap Secanggang. The problem in this study is based on the results of initial observations which indicate that children's artistic creativity has not developed optimally due to the use of less diverse learning media. The research method used is quantitative with a type (quasi-experimental) through a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study were all children at TK Negeri Satu Atap Secanggang, with a research sample of 15 children in class B1. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique combined with cluster sampling, namely determining subjects based on class groups that have formed naturally. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation instruments. For data analysis, an N-gain test was used to measure the level of effectiveness of the intervention. The calculation results show that ecoprinting batik activities have quite promising effectiveness in improving children's artistic creativity. The final findings support this, with 11 out of 15 children (73.33%) in the "High" category, while 4 out of 15 children (26.67%) were in the "Medium" category. These findings suggest that the use of natural materials in the ecoprinting method can significantly stimulate children's creativity development. It is hoped that teachers can utilize this activity as an innovative alternative learning method, and schools are expected to continue supporting various learning resources to optimize the creative potential of early childhood.
