Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of differentiated learning by teachers and its implications for the academic achievement of MTs students at As'Adiyah Darussalam Belawa Rahmat Islamic Boarding School, Pasangkayu Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through non-participant observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing with source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings reveal that the implementation of differentiated learning took place in a planned manner through four interconnected stages, namely diagnostic assessment-based planning, flexible learning group organization, adaptive and student-centered instruction, and continuous evaluation encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This implementation produced tangible implications for students' academic achievement, not only in improved academic outcomes, but also in the growth of students' self-confidence, motivation, independence, and social character. These findings affirm that Islamic boarding schools are capable of delivering inclusive and equitable learning services, in alignment with the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals concerning quality education that is accessible and equitable for all learners.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the relatively low quality of financial statements among some Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which is attributed to the suboptimal implementation of accountability, transparency, and human resource competence in business financial management. This study aims to analyze the effects of accountability, transparency, and human resource competence on the quality of MSME financial statements in Prambon District, Nganjuk Regency, in 2024. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed in this research. The population consisted of 1,194 active MSMEs in Prambon District. The sample was determined using a simple random sampling technique and the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error, resulting in 92 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination (R²), t-tests, and F-tests with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that accountability and transparency have a positive and significant effect on the quality of MSME financial statements, while human resource competence has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, accountability, transparency, and human resource competence significantly affect the quality of MSME financial statements. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.688 indicates that 68.8% of the variation in financial statement quality can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 31.2% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in facing competition among karate athletes at the State University of Jakarta. Anxiety in facing competition is a common psychological problem that can reduce athletes' performance, while self-confidence is believed to be one of the internal factors that influence it. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 30 karate athletes selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a self-confidence scale and a competition anxiety scale, then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation after fulfilling the normality and linearity prerequisite tests. The results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.818 with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), which means there is a significant negative relationship between self-confidence and competition anxiety. The coefficient of determination of 66.9% indicates that self-confidence contributes substantially to competition anxiety. Thus, the higher the athlete's self-confidence, the lower the anxiety in facing competition, and vice versa.

Abstract

Learning the Qur'an is an essential component of Islamic education aimed at improving students' Qur'anic reading skills while fostering religious character. However, the implementation of Qur'an learning in Islamic schools within Muslim minority communities, such as those in Thailand, still faces several challenges, including differences in students' initial reading abilities, limited instructional time, and suboptimal evaluation practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur'an learning through the Iqra' method among Mattayom students at Darulaman Mulniti School, Thailand, examine the improvement of students' Qur'anic reading skills, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method through field research. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the school principal, Qur'an teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Iqra' method consisted of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The learning process was adapted to students' initial abilities through ability-based grouping, demonstration methods, gradual practice, and mastery learning-based evaluation. The implementation of the Iqra' method effectively improved students' Qur'anic reading skills, particularly in recognizing Arabic letters, applying correct pronunciation (makhraj), understanding tajwid rules, and achieving reading fluency. The success of the learning process was supported by students' motivation, teachers' competence, and school facilities, while the main obstacles included students' low initial abilities, lack of practice at home, and difficulties in mastering tajwid.
