Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of flashcard media on beginning reading skills of first-grade students at SD Negeri 18 Banda Aceh. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 56 students, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 28 students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments designed to measure students’ beginning reading skills. The data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity tests, and Independent Sample t-test with SPSS version 27. The results showed that the use of flashcard media had a significant effect on students’ beginning reading skills. The experimental class achieved a higher mean posttest score than the control class. The significance value of the Independent Sample t-test was less than 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis Hₐ was accepted. Flashcard media helped students recognize letters, combine syllables, read simple words and sentences, and understand the meaning of texts more effectively.

Abstract

Target game practice is related to the object or goal to be achieved. In the game of futsal, shooting accuracy is a key factor because the chances of scoring goals in futsal often occur in tight spaces and limited time. Based on this, the problem in this study is whether there is an effect of target game training on shooting accuracy in futsal extracurricular games. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of target game practice on shooting accuracy in futsal extracurricular games at Mandiri Palembang Junior High School. The research method used is a quantitative method of experiment type. Based on the calculation of the hypothesis test using the SPSS 26 application, it was obtained from the t-calculation value of 7.524 with a t-table value of 1.729 with df = n – 1 where n = 20 so df = 20 – 1 = 19. Thus, the t-calculation value is 7.524 ≥ t-table is 1.729, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted or the results of the study show that there is an influence of target game practice on shooting accuracy in extracurricular futsal students of Mandiri Palembang Junior High School.

Abstract

This article was written based on research that the researcher conducted with the aim of identifying the forms of formative assessment implementation that can promote meaningful learning in Indonesian language subjects. This research is very important to conduct because the implementation of formative assessment that can encourage meaningful learning for students is not only oriented toward determining students' learning progress, but also creating a lasting impression on students when participating in formative assessment and being effective in helping students understand the learning material. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted in Class III-B of SDN 024 Tarakan, involving the homeroom teacher as the main research subject and two students selected through random sampling as supporting research subjects. The researcher collected research data through observation, interviews, and documentation, and implemented source and technique triangulation to ensure that the data obtained and presented were credible and objective. Based on the research findings, it was found that the main research subject had implemented formative assessment in promoting meaningful learning in Indonesian language subjects. This was actualized through the contextual implementation of formative assessment, active student participation, and integration across disciplines, so that formative assessment could effectively facilitate students in understanding learning materials, recognizing the implementation of learning materials in everyday life, and reconstructing students’ deficiencies during the learning process.

Abstract

This study was motivated by unengaging learning practices resulting from conventional methods and a lack of innovation in instructional media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the deep learning-based Articulate Storyline instructional media on the poetry-writing skills and learning interest of 11th-grade students at SMK TKM Teknik Purworejo. This study is a quantitative study using an experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of the 11th-grade Electrical Power Installation class as the experimental group and the 11th-grade Machining class A as the control group. The author conducted data analysis prerequisite tests to determine whether the collected data were normally distributed, homogeneous, and whether there were any significant differences. The findings of this study indicate that there is an effect of the deep learning-based Articulate Storyline on students’ poetry writing skills, with a score difference of 15.68. The results show a significant difference in students’ poetry writing skills between the experimental group and the control group. The deep learning-based Articulate Storyline approach influenced students’ interest in learning, resulting in a 3.73% increase; therefore, this approach can enhance students’ poetry writing skills as well as their interest in learning poetry writing.

Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah as an Islamic basic education institution has a strategic role in shaping the character and competence of students, but the management of Education Operational Costs (BOP) often faces obstacles of transparency, accountability, and limited resources, so that a leadership model is needed that is able to integrate administrative aspects with moral and spiritual values; This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques in three madrassas in West Purwokerto District to analyze the implementation of transformative leadership based on prophetic values (siddiq, amanah, tabligh, fathanah) in the management of BOP, with the aim of identifying leadership practices, supporting and inhibiting factors, and practical implications for improving the quality of education; The results of the study show that transformative leadership based on prophetic values is able to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency of fund management, supported by religious culture, school committees, and government regulations, but still faces obstacles in the form of limited human resources and strict regulations on the use of funds, so this study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of Islamic education management as well as practical recommendations in the form of the need for management training based on prophetic values for madrasah heads and treasurers.

Abstract

Reading literacy is an important basic skill for elementary school students, yet reading literacy rates in Indonesia are still relatively low. This study aims to examine the use of puzzles to improve elementary school students' reading literacy. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative descriptive approach through analysis of various relevant scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that puzzles can increase students' interest in reading, motivation to learn, concentration, and active engagement in learning. Furthermore, puzzles help students recognize letters and words, and understand reading content. Therefore, puzzles are effective in supporting the improvement of elementary school students' reading literacy.

Abstract

Muh. Arif, Efektivitas Pembelajaran Kitab Turats di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Parappe Kec. Campalagian Kab. Polewali Mandar Sulawesi Barat. (dibimbing oleh: Dr. H. Andi Bunyamin, M.Pd. dan Dr. H. Hasanna Lawang, Lc., M.Ag). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) sistem pembelajaran kitab Turats di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Parappe Kec. Campalagian Kab. Polewali Mandar. (2) untuk mengetahui Efektivitas Pembelajaran Kitab Turats di Pondok Pesantren salafiyah Parappe Kec. Campalagian Kab. Polewali Mandar.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data berupa pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sistem pembelajaran kitab turats dilaksanakan melalui metode tradisional seperti sorogan, bandongan, dan hafalan yang didukung oleh penguasaan ilmu alat (nahwu dan sharaf), serta berlangsung dalam lingkungan pesantren yang menekankan kedisiplinan dan pembiasaan belajar; (2) efektivitas pembelajaran terlihat dari kemampuan santri dalam membaca, memahami, dan menjelaskan isi kitab turats, serta meningkatnya keterlibatan aktif santri dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, keberhasilan pembelajaran didukung oleh peran Kyai/Ustadz, lingkungan pesantren, serta motivasi santri, meskipun terdapat kendala seperti perbedaan kemampuan santri dan keterbatasan variasi metode pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kitab turats di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Parappe berlangsung secara efektif dalam mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan pesantren. Efektivitas tersebut terlihat dari kemampuan santri dalam membaca kitab turats, memahami kandungan materi, serta menjelaskan isi kitab sesuai dengan tingkatannya. Keberhasilan ini turut diperkuat oleh prestasi santri dalam berbagai ajang keilmuan, seperti Musabaqah Qira’atil Kutub (MQK), serta keterlibatan alumni dalam kegiatan pengajaran di berbagai pesantren dan lingkungan sosial di masyarakat. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran kitab turats di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Parappe tidak hanya menghasilkan capaian kognitif, tetapi juga membentuk aspek afektif dan keterampilan santri, sehingga menjadi bagian penting dalam menjaga tradisi intelektual dan keberlanjutan pendidikan pesantren.

Abstract

This study examined the implementation of inquiry-based teaching through open-ended questions to improve Grade 4 students’ multiplication problem-solving performance at Mentari Intercultural School Jakarta. The study was conducted because many students showed low engagement, limited participation, and difficulty explaining their strategies when solving multiplication problems. A Classroom Action Research design was applied through three stages: pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The participants were 21 Grade 4 students. Data were collected using multiplication problem-solving tests, teacher and student observation sheets, and semi-structured interviews. The results showed progressive improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The class average increased from 62.19 in the pre-cycle to 68.57 in Cycle I and 79.52 in Cycle II. Classical mastery also increased from 19.05% in the pre-cycle to 42.86% in Cycle I and 85.71% in Cycle II. Observation and interview findings indicated that students became more engaged, more confident in explaining reasoning, and more flexible in using strategies such as arrays, equal groups, repeated addition, and decomposition. The findings suggest that inquiry-based teaching supported by open-ended questions can improve multiplication problem-solving performance by promoting active exploration, reasoning, and strategy comparison.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited availability of learning resources in Informatics, which are still predominantly dominated by printed textbooks, thereby reducing students' active engagement in the learning process. This study aimed to develop a Digital Social Impact (DSI) learning module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) using a Deep Learning approach for seventh-grade junior high school students.The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data were collected through a literature review and questionnaires administered to material experts and media experts. The research instruments used a four-point Likert scale and were analyzed quantitatively using validity percentages.The results showed that the developed learning module achieved a validity percentage of 78.12%, categorized as very valid, in the material expert validation and 90.62%, categorized as very valid, in the media expert validation. These findings indicate that the module has fulfilled the criteria of content feasibility, presentation, language, and graphic design. Therefore, the PBL-based learning module using a Deep Learning approach is considered suitable for use in Informatics learning and has the potential to enhance students’ learning engagement, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities in addressing various issues related to the social impacts of Informatics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of traditional cultural learning on the socio-cultural development of 5–6-year-old children at Nurhikmah Kindergarten. This study used a quantitative approach with a Quasiexperimental design using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The study sample consisted of 20 children, consisting of 10 in the experimental Group and 10 in the control Group. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Mann–Whitney U Test. The results showed that the experimental Group obtained a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05, the control Group obtained a significance value of 0.034 < 0.05, and the results of the Mann– Whitney U Test showed a significance value of < 0.001 < 0.05. Thus, traditional cultural learning using interactive videos has a significant effect on the sociocultural development of children aged 5–6 years at Nurhikmah.
