Abstract

Children with physical disabilities (tunadaksa) require educational services that are adaptive, inclusive, and responsive to their physical and psychological needs. This article aims to describe the characteristics, challenges, and educational strategies for children with physical disabilities in elementary schools. The method used is a literature review from various books, journals, and educational regulations related to inclusive education and special needs education. The results show that children with physical disabilities generally experience difficulties in mobility, limitations in the function of limbs, slower movement, difficulties in self-care activities, and decreased self-confidence due to physical differences. Therefore, schools need to provide accessible facilities, adaptive learning methods, emotional support, and inclusive social environments. Teachers also play an important role in fostering students’ confidence and independence through collaborative and student-centered learning approaches. Proper educational support can help children with physical disabilities develop their academic potential, social skills, and self-confidence optimally.

Abstract

This research is survey research intended to find out and describe the development of learning decimal numbers and percents in class IV of SD Negeri 1 Sidetapa, Buleleng district. This research was conducted in class IV at SD Negeri 1 Sidetapa with a total of 26 students. Data analysis uses parameter estimation to see the development of learning decimal numbers and percents. In this case, research regarding designing the development of learning decimal numbers and percents uses survey research which aims to deepen the development of students at SD Negeri 1 Sidetapa, especially class IV, regarding this material. The results of the research show that in general the ability to understand decimal numbers in class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Sidetapa needs to be improved further. Because there are still many students who don't really understand the information and get grades that are below average. The low level of students' understanding of decimal numbers and percentages can be seen from the results of the students' work in the attached picture and in the list of values listed. Most students have not been able to solve problems or carry out operations of adding decimals and percents well. There are still many students who focus on ordinary addition and do not use the concept of decimal numbers and percent. It is hoped that teaching staff will design learning well, whether from learning media or other things that can support learning well and can be accepted by students correctly and without misconceptions. There are only 27% of 100 students in the high category. There are only 35% of students in the medium category. And students in the low category reached 38%. Where in this case students in the low category in mathematics are quite high at SD Negeri 1 Sidetapa, especially in class IV.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ mathematical modeling skills as viewed from the perspective of self-confidence. This study was conducted because students’ mathematical modeling skills remain low, and due to the importance of using appropriate learning models and internal factors such as students’ self-confidence. This is a quantitative study using an experimental method with a factorial design. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri in Pekanbaru with the population consisting of all seventh-grade students, while the sample was selected using cluster random sampling, specifically class VII.3 as the experimental class and VII.1 as the control class. Data collection techniques included tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involved prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) as well as hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA. The results of the study indicate that: (1) there is a difference in mathematical modeling ability between students learning with the PBL model and those in direct instruction , (2) there is a difference in mathematical modeling ability based on self-confidence levels , and (3) there is no interaction between the learning model and self-confidence on students’ mathematical modeling ability .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of school supervisor mentoring in improving the quality of education in elementary schools. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at two elementary schools in Tasikmalaya Regency. The study subjects consisted of two principals, two class teachers, and two subject teachers. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the thematic analysis, which included transcription, coding, categorization, theme development, and data interpretation. The results indicate that school supervisor mentoring is implemented through academic and managerial supervision, encompassing administrative guidance, learning monitoring, discussions, consultations, school program evaluations, and ongoing follow-up. The mentoring is conducted using a collaborative, consultative, humanistic, and needs-based approach, thereby improving the quality of learning, teacher competence and professionalism, administrative discipline, and school management. Furthermore, open communication between supervisors, principals, and teachers contributes to the creation of a professional work culture in schools. This study concludes that school supervisor mentoring is quite effective in improving educational quality, although increased intensity and sustainability of mentoring are still needed to achieve optimal results. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference in developing a more effective and sustainable model of school supervisor supervision and mentoring.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Genially-based interactive learning media in enhancing students’ democratic awareness in the Pancasila Education course at Bandung State High School 2. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes: Class XI-D, the experimental class using the Genially game-based learning media, and Class XI-K, the control class using video-based media, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included affective essay questions (pretest-posttest) and a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination via SPSS version 25. The results showed that the experimental class experienced an increase in democratic awareness of 21.36 points (from an average of 57.97 to 79.33), significantly higher than the control class, which increased by only 6.94 points. The simple linear regression test yielded a correlation coefficient of R = 0.634 (strong correlation), a calculated F-value of 18.822 (sig. 0.000 < 0.05), and a coefficient of determination of R² = 0.402, indicating that the Genially game contributed 40.2% to the increase in students’ democratic awareness. These findings demonstrate that Genially-based learning media is significantly more effective in enhancing students’ democratic awareness than video-based media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the model of students' dress ethics development through a character education-based point system at SMA Darul Falah Sumberdawe, analyze the process of internalizing disciplinary values, and evaluate the effectiveness of the system. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The participants consisted of the Vice Principal for Student Affairs and the school counselor. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the point system is implemented systematically by involving all teachers in monitoring and fostering student discipline. The internalization of character values occurs through students' understanding of school regulations, the gradual application of consequences, and the habituation of disciplined behavior supported by religious values. The implementation of the point system effectively improves students' dress discipline, as indicated by the decreasing number of violations and the development of students' awareness in complying with school regulations.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover and describe the cultural code system contained in Rahman Arge's drama script Sang Mandor using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a focus on the cultural codes that appear in the drama text. The research data are in the form of sentences that represent cultural codes, obtained from the drama script Sang Mandor published in January 1992. Data collection was carried out through reading, listening, inventorying, and careful recording of dialogues between characters. The results of the study indicate that the drama script Sang Mandor predominantly contains cultural codes that reflect social values and the community's outlook on life. These codes not only function as elements that build the story, but also contain deep cultural meanings and are still relevant in people's lives today. Therefore, this study is expected to help readers and literature lovers in understanding the cultural messages implied in the drama script Sang Mandor. In addition, this study is also expected to be a reference for future researchers to study the same work with a different approach so that the meaning of the drama is more comprehensive.
