Abstract

The problem in this research is the low level of critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes regarding hot content and material and the transfer of science learning content. This is caused by lack of critical thinking training, poor memory, and students' ability to understand the concepts being taught. The SENTER model, which is a combination of Problem Based Learning, Student Centered Learning, and Numbered Head Together, is designed to critical thinking, and student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to analyze critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This research used a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK), which was carried out over four meetings. Class V students of SDN Kuin Selatan 1 Banjarmasin for the 2022/2023 academic year, consisting of 17 students, are the subjects of this research. Data collection methods use tests and observations. This research collects qualitative and quantitative data. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques such as tables, graphs and percentage interpretation. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills increased by 88% and student learning outcomes increased by 92% for the "Complete" criterion. ".The research results show that the SENTER model can increase critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. To improve the quality of learning in schools, the use of this model is recommended as an alternative.

Abstract

The research was conducted to analyze the quality of each question item using numeracy skills from the minimum competency assessment questions (AKM) for fifth grade elementary school students. The aim of this research is to prove that the minimum competency assessment questions (AKM) are quality, as well as to analyze the influence of the minimum competency assessment questions (AKM) on improving the numeracy skills of fifth grade elementary school students. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research used 4 validators and 15 fifth grade elementary school students as test subjects for minimum competency assessment numeracy (AKM) questions. The object of this research is a question sheet with 30 questions. Meanwhile, in the questionnaire, the researcher only took 5 students to fill in several statements on the questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS to determine the value of validity, reliability, distinguishing power and level of difficulty. And using data analysis techniques in the form of triangulation by taking data from 3 students who got high, medium and low scores. Based on the validity test analysis, there are 30 valid questions, with a reliability of 0.879 (reliable), then the discriminating power analysis shows that there are 9 questions in the "very good" category and 21 questions in the "good" category, and the analysis of the level of difficulty for each item states There are 8 questions in the "difficult" category, then 19 questions in the "medium" category and 11 questions in the "easy" category. So it can be concluded that the questions that the researchers developed are of good quality and suitable for use.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low level of student activity, scientific literacy skills, and learning outcomes in science content, which is attributed to one-way learning, less meaningful and abstract learning, also teaching methods that don’t adequately develop students’ scientific literacy. This study aims to analyze the improvement of activities, scientific literacy skills, and student learning outcomes using the TERAPUNG model. In this study, the subjects were VD students of SDN Semangat Dalam 2 and the CAR method with a qualitative approach was used which was carried out 4 meetings. The instruments used were multiple-choice questions and observation sheets. This study shows that students' activities significantly improved, achieving almost entirely active criteria. Students' scientific literacy skills also saw a substantial increase in the high category, while student learning outcomes approached almost entirely complete criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the TERAPUNG model is effective in improving student activities, scientific literacy skills, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the impact of maternal education level on the learning achievement of Class IV students at SDN 004 Sei Jalau, North Kampar District. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method. The population and sample of this research were 34 respondents. Data collection techniques and instruments include interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data review. From the results of the research carried out, the result is that the mother's education level can have an influence on the learning achievement of class IV students at SDN 004 Sei Jalau, North Kampar District. Students have a higher level of achievement because they have mothers who have a fairly high level of education who provide attention and participate in helping children learn. Likewise, mothers who have a low level of education can usually only motivate their children to be active in school and study so they can achieve high levels of achievement.

Abstract

Education is an important institution for developing superior human resources and improving their quality. Today's educational demands not only give students a competitive advantage, but also equip them to face future challenges that will play a role in changing society for the better. Freedom to Learn, Independent Campus has become the slogan of education in Indonesia. The campus teaching program established by the government is one of the aims of developing and achieving prosperous education. One of the superior programs in campus teaching activities is numeracy literacy. There is great hope that this program will be able to improve abilities and apply the concept of numbers and arithmetic operations in everyday life as well as interpreting quantitative information in the environment. The aim of this research is to see how effective the numeracy literacy program is, which has long been seen as a superior program for campus teaching activities. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The increase in AKM numeracy test results after implementing the program shows the effectiveness of numeracy activities carried out in a structured manner, such as the use of mathematics TTS and digital-based numeracy activities. Students are actively involved in solving math problems appropriate to their grade level, including game elements that attract their attention. However, for literacy, it appears that the AKM literacy test scores remained stable after the program was implemented.
