Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with grade IV teachers at SDN Ngaliyan 03 Semarang City, it was found that teachers had not used interactive learning media and the learning process that took place tended to use the lecture method. “The purpose of this study was to develop a design, determine the feasibility and effectiveness of digital pop-up book media based on the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve learning outcomes of Pancasila education in grade IV Elementary Schools.”This type of research is R&D development using the Borg and Gall model modified by Sugiyono, consisting of 10 research” steps. The“researcher”only used 8 steps, due to limited time, cost, and energy. Data coIIection “techniques used test and non-test techniques.” The resuIts of the study showed that the assessment of material experts was 88.63% in the very feasible category, and media experts were 93.75% in the very feasible category. The learning media developed influenced the difference in average student learning outcomes. In large-scale product trials, the t-test calculation showed a significance value of 0.001. The results of the N-gain calculation showed a value of 0.58 in the moderate criteria.“Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the development of digital pop-up book media design based on the PBL model is very feasible and effective for use in the Pancasila Education learning process.”

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low implementation of civic skills due to the continued use of conventional learning methods and the absence of a combination of varied learning methods. So that students are less active in learning and the implementation of civic skills is not optimal. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the creative problem solving (CPS) model on the development of civic skills of elementary school students in Pancasila Education learning on cultural diversity material in grade V. The method used in this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the application of the creative problem solving model in improving students' civic skills, as evidenced by the difference in pretest and posttest scores between the experimental and control classes. The average posttest score of the experimental class (85.32) was higher than the control class (78.73). The paired sample t-test produced a sig. value of 0.000 (<0.05), confirming that the creative problem solving model is effective in improving students' civic skills. In addition, the independent sample t-test on the posttest showed a significant difference (sig. 0.021 < 0.05) between the experimental and control classes, indicating that the creative problem solving model is more effective than the cooperative learning model of the group investigation type. Thus, the creative problem solving model is able to improve students' civic skills more optimally than the cooperative learning model of the group investigation type.

Abstract

Education has a strategic role in shaping the character and personality of the younger generation as the nation's successors. In the Indonesian context, Pancasila education is one of the main pillars in realizing this goal. As a national ideology, Pancasila is not only the basis of the state, but also the values that are internalized in various aspects of life, including the field of education. And Pancasila education also has an important role in shaping the character of students, namely at the elementary school (SD) level. Pancasila education has great potential to shape the character of students in elementary schools. Through this education, it is hoped that Indonesia's young generation will not only be intellectually intelligent, but also have strong character, full of integrity, and can become good and responsible citizens. As the basis of the state and the nation's way of life, Pancasila contains noble values that can shape the attitudes and behavior of students in accordance with the moral values that apply in Indonesian society. Pancasila education also functions to increase students' understanding of the importance of living together in diversity and tolerance, which is very relevant in Indonesia's multicultural social context. This article aims to examine how Pancasila education is implemented in elementary schools in order to shape students' character based on Pancasila values, such as mutual cooperation, social justice, and respect for diversity. Using a qualitative approach, this research reveals that the integration of Pancasila values in the curriculum and extracurricular activities can increase understanding and application of positive attitudes that support character formation. Instilling these values not only equips students with knowledge, but also life skills that are useful for forming individuals with integrity, tolerance and responsibility. Therefore, Pancasila education in elementary schools has a strategic role in creating a young generation capable of maintaining national unity and integrity.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Problem Based Learning-Based Science E-Modules in Improving Elementary School Students' Science Literacy is a study that aims to determine the effectiveness of using Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based e-modules in improving science literacy in Elementary School (SD) students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). This study uses a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test approach in two groups, namely the experimental group using PBL-based Science e-modules and the kontrol group using conventional learning methods. The subjects of the study consisted of fifth grade students of Kedungsukun 01 Elementary School, Adiwerna District, Tegal Regency. Data were collected through science literacy tests given before and after the implementation of learning, as well as observations and interviews to explore students' responses to the use of e-modules. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the science literacy of students using PBL-based e-modules, compared to the kontrol group. In addition, the results of the interviews showed that students were more interested and involved in PBL-based learning, which encouraged students to think critically and solve problems both independently and in groups. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of PBL-based science e-modules is effective in improving elementary school students' science literacy. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more innovative and interactive science learning at the elementary school level.
