Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Nayu Surakarta during the 2025/2026 academic year. Employing a quantitative approach and a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design, the study involved 27 students from class VB as subjects. Data were collected using a multiple-choice test instrument consisting of 20 items that had been validated for validity, reliability, discriminating power, and difficulty level. Data analysis involved the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and hypothesis testing using a paired-sample t-test, supported by SPSS version 25 software. The findings indicate that the mean pretest score of 60.56 increased to 77.96 in the posttest. The paired-sample t-test results showed a calculated t-value of 10.266, which exceeded the t-table value of 2.056; consequently, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Furthermore, the Cohen's Effect Size calculation yielded a value of 1.66, falling into the "very large" category. Thus, it is concluded that the TGT model has a significant effect on improving IPAS learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Nayu Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This study explores the linguistic strategies used to build a counter-discourse against the financial myth that “employees are poor” in Arabic digital media. It focuses on an episode of the Ghlaf Podcast titled “لماذا الوَظِيفَةُ هِيَ أَسْرَعُ طَرِيقٍ نَحْوَ الثَّرَاءِ”. By integrating Teun A. van Dijk’s socio-cognitive Critical Discourse Analysis with contemporary Arabic sociolinguistics, this research examines how the speaker uses diglossia (switching between Fusha and ‘Ammiyah) and code-switching to English terms as rhetorical tools. The findings show that these linguistic choices are deliberate. They help construct the speaker's identity as a “modern and accessible expert” while redefining wealth as cash flow stability achieved through regular employment. At the social cognition level, this strategy answers the exhaustion felt by young Arabs regarding unrealistic entrepreneurship narratives amidst the economic changes of Saudi Vision 2030. Theoretically, this study expands the use of van Dijk’s model to spoken digital Arabic discourse, emphasizing how linguistic hybridity acts as an ideological tool to negotiate power in the digital economy.

Abstract

Agility is one of the most important biomotor components underpinning the performance of kumite karate athletes, as it is closely associated with rapid changes of direction, attacking, defending, and decision-making during competition. However, the availability of systematic training models specifically designed to meet the demands of kumite remains limited. This study aimed to develop a shadow fight training model in the form of a book-based module as an alternative training programme to improve the agility of kumite karate athletes aged 14–15 years. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the Four-D model, consisting of the define, design, and develop stages. The developed product was validated by subject-matter and media experts before undergoing small-scale and large-scale practicality testing involving karate coaches. Data were analysed using Aiken's V coefficient, the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC), and percentage analysis. The findings demonstrated that the training model achieved high content validity, with Aiken's V values ranging from 0.75 to 0.90. Inter-rater reliability was categorised as excellent, with an Average Measures ICC value of 0.916. Furthermore, the practicality assessment yielded scores of 88.6% in the small-scale trial and 87.7% in the large-scale trial, both classified as highly feasible. Therefore, the book-based shadow fight training model was found to be valid, reliable, practical, and suitable for use as a supporting training medium to enhance the agility of kumite karate athletes aged 14–15 years.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Listening skill is one of the essential language skills in elementary education, as it plays a crucial role in supporting students’ learning processes. However, the listening skills of second-grade elementary school students are still relatively low, indicating the need for learning models and instructional media that can enhance students’ engagement in listening activities. This study aimed to determine the differences and the effect of the Directed Listening and Thinking Activity (DLTA) learning model assisted by Daily Spin Board (DASBO) media on the listening skills of second-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of second-grade students of SD Negeri Pringapus 01 as the experimental group and SD Negeri Pringapus 03 as the control group. Data were collected through listening skill tests, questionnaires, and observations. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of students’ listening skills in the experimental group was 67.11, while the control group obtained an average score of 52.41. The independent sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Furthermore, the linear regression analysis showed an R² value of 0.264, meaning that the DLTA learning model assisted by DASBO media contributed 26.4% to the improvement of students’ listening skills. Abstract

Jabodetabek Commuter Line services represent the fulfillment of citizens’ rights to safe, comfortable, accessible, reliable, and equitable public services. This study aims to identify the rights-fulfillment factors associated with user satisfaction and to interpret them through service quality and civic knowledge perspectives. A quantitative survey was conducted among 400 active commuter rail users aged 17–45 years selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire comprising 15 rights-fulfillment items and 15 user-satisfaction items and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The findings show that rights fulfillment collectively has a strong positive and significant relationship with user satisfaction. Security and physical protection emerged as prominent positive aspects, particularly the presence of security officers and the orderly operation of women-only carriages. Comfort, accessibility, reliability, affordability, and fairness also formed the service experience underlying satisfaction. In contrast, access to complaint channels and complaint submission procedures remained the weakest participatory aspects and therefore require priority improvement. The item-level factors are interpreted descriptively because the regression model tests the aggregate rights-fulfillment score rather than the independent effect of each factor. Civic knowledge is used as an interpretive lens to explain users’ ability to recognize, evaluate, and exercise their rights in public services.
