Abstract

This quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group study investigated the effect of the Mind Mapping method on learning outcomes for the concept of technological development among fourth-grade students at SDN 01 Babakan. Forty-three students participated: 22 in the experimental group (audio-visual Mind Mapping) and 21 in the control group (image-based elaboration). Valid and reliable instruments were used, and data were analyzed via normality (Kolmogorov–Smirnov) and homogeneity (Levene’s) tests, followed by paired-samples and independent-samples t-tests at α = 0.05. Results showed the experimental group’s mean score increased from 55.00 to 80.00 (gain = 25.00; 45.5 %), while the control group’s mean score rose from 54.50 to 65.00 (gain = 10.50; 19.3 %). Significant improvements were confirmed by the paired-samples t-test (t(21) = 15.32, p < .001, Cohen’s d = 3.26) and the independent-samples t-test (t(41) = 6.45, p < .001, Cohen’s d = 2.03). These findings endorse the integration of Mind Mapping into elementary science instruction. Future research should explore digital Mind Mapping tools, conduct longitudinal studies on retention, and examine moderating factors such as learning styles and technological proficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh motivasi dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas XI di SMAN 2 Maros. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan 125 siswa kelas XI sebagai populasi dan sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji T, dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi dan gaya belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang (90% dan 87%). Hasil belajar juga berada pada kategori sedang (92%). Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan antara motivasi dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar. Uji T menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan (p<0.05) baik motivasi intrinsik (M1) dan ekstrinsik (M2), maupun gaya belajar visual (X1), auditori (X2), dan kinestetik (X3) terhadap hasil belajar (Y). Uji F juga mengkonfirmasi pengaruh signifikan secara simultan dari kedua variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis alternatif diterima dan hipotesis nol ditolak. Kesimpulannya, motivasi dan gaya belajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas XI di SMAN 2 Maros.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) Describe the steps of implementing the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model to improve the cooperation skills of fifth grade students of Tulusrejo Elementary School, 2) Determine the improvement of cooperation skills of fifth grade students of Tulusrejo Elementary School through the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model. The study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle has 2 meetings. The research subjects were 16 fifth grade students of Tulusrejo Elementary School consisting of 8 boys and 8 girls. The data collection methods used were interviews, observation and documentation. Implementation of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model with 5 stages, namely 1) Class Presentation, 2) Group Learning, 3) Games, 4) Competitions, 5) Awards. The results of the research observations are as follows: learning using the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model is very suitable to be applied in Elementary Schools because the percentage of students' cooperation skills at the pre-cycle stage is 31%, cycle I becomes 44% at meeting 1 and 50% at meeting 2. Then in cycle II it increases to 69% at meeting 1 and increases significantly again to 88% meeting the specified classical completeness of 80%. From the results of the implementation of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model, it can be considered effective in improving students' cooperation skills. So this model can be used as an effective alternative strategy to improve students' cooperation skills in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan : 1) menganalisis kemampuan bernalar kritis murid kelas IV SDN Tangkisan dalam memahami materi ini khas daerahku, 2) menganalisis kemandirian murid kelas IV SDN Tangkisan dalam memahami materi ini khas daerahku. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus . Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 siswa kelas IV SDN Tangkisan dengan sampel subjek bernalar kritis 4 dan 3 siswa sampel subjek kemandirian untuk diwawancarai melalui teknik purposive sampling . Analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman yaitu 1) pengumpulan data, 2) reduksi data, 3) penyajian data, 4) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh : 1) kemampuan bernalar kritis terdapat empat kategori dengan pencapaian yang berbeda-beda. Subjek sangat mahir sudah mampu mencapai semua indikator dari mengolah informasi dari gagasan, memulai penalaran hingga kesimpulannya. Subjek kategori mahir sudah mampu mengolah informasi dari gagasan dan menuangkan penalarannya namun belum dapat menyimpulkan. Kategori subjek sudah berkembang sudah mampu mengolah informasi dari gagasan dengan sedikit perbaikan namun belum mampu menganalisis dan menyebarkan penalaran hingga kesimpulan. Kategori subjek mulai berkembang belum dapat mencapai semua indikator bernalar kritis. 2) Kemandirian murid terdapat tiga kategori dengan capaian yang berbeda-beda . Subjek kategori mandiri sangat sudah mampu mencapai semua indikator kemandirian. Subjek kategori mandiri sudah bertanggung jawab, mampu mengendalikan diri, tidak memiliki ketergantungan tinggi namun belum memiliki rasa percaya diri serta belum memiliki inisiatif . Subjek kategori kurang mandiri belum mampu mencapai semua indikator.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using animated video media on interest in learning science in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Astana. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental research method Preexperimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study were all fourth grade students totaling 87 students, while the sample was fourth grade students totaling 29 students. The sampling technique used in this study was Simple Random Sampling. The independent variable in this study was animated video media while the dependent variable was interest in learning. The research data were obtained by distributing learning interest questionnaires. The analysis technique was the Paired Sample T-test and the N-Gain test. Based on the results obtained using the paired sample T-test, a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained because based on decision making, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. While the results of the N-Gain test score average value of 0.7309, the effectiveness category of the N-Gain value was high, or it could be interpreted that the use of animated video media (effective) from the results obtained. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the interest in learning science in fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Astana. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of animated video media on the interest in learning science in fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Astana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi pecahan di kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Jagapura Lor Kecamatan Gegesik Kabupaten Cirebon. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan model rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa kelas IV. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas V. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sedangkan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Jadi berdasarkan hasil perhitungan pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,005 pada taraf signifikansi 5% artinya terdapat pengaruh antara model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan tanpa menggunakan model Think Pair Share (TPS). Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata N-Gain pada posttest diperoleh sebesar 0,7363 yang artinya seberapa besar berada pada kategori tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) terdapat pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi pecahan di kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Jagapura Lor.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning motivation and collaboration skills, which leads to a lack of variety in learning models and student engagement. This study aims to describe learning motivation and analyze collaboration skills through the application of the PRESTASI model. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in three meetings, with 12 fifth-grade students of SDN 6 Tanjung in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year as subjects. The approach used is qualitative and quantitative, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and tests. The results show that student learning motivation increased from "A small portion of students are highly motivated" to "All students are highly motivated," and collaboration skills from "A small portion are skilled" to "All students are skilled." This has an impact on improving learning outcomes in the classroom. The PRESTASI model has been proven effective in improving the quality of learning and is recommended as an alternative teaching strategy.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of locutionary speech acts by English language teacher’s during classroom instruction at SMAN 3 Bulukumba. Language in education plays a crucial role not only as a tool for delivering instructional content but also as a medium for fostering interaction, building relationships, and managing the classroom environment. Grounded in Austin’s Speech Act Theory, this research specifically focuses on two components of locutionary acts: phatic acts and rhetic acts. Phatic acts are examined in terms of their interpersonal functions, such as initiating greetings, checking student well-being, expressing appreciation, and fostering classroom rapport. Rhetic acts, on the other hand, are explored for their instructional value in delivering content, stating facts, providing directions, expressing opinions, and persuading students to participate and engage with the lesson material. This research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology, with data collected through systematic classroom observations two English teacher’s at the senior high school level. The utterances collected were analyzed using a framework informed by Austin's typology of speech acts, focusing on how teacher’s structure their discourse to achieve pedagogical goals. The findings demonstrate that both phatic and rhetic acts are consistently utilized across different stages of instruction, serving both social and academic functions in the classroom. Phatic acts were particularly evident in teacher-student interactions at the beginning and end of lessons, helping to establish a warm and welcoming classroom climate. Meanwhile, rhetic acts were predominantly used during lesson delivery and student engagement, emphasizing clarity, structure, and motivational discourse. Classroom transcripts and observation tables provide empirical evidence of how these speech acts function in practice, revealing that their strategic use not only facilitates communication but also enhances student motivation, comprehension, and classroom dynamics. The study concludes that locutionary speech acts are integral to effective teaching and recommends their intentional application as part of teacher communication strategies. These findings have implications for teacher training programs, highlighting the need to develop pragmatic awareness among educators, particularly in EFL contexts where language functions extend beyond semantics to include social interaction and cultural sensitivity. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the village government's role in addressing the problem of Illegal Gold Mining (PETI) in Sungai Buluh Hamlet, Bungo Regency. The PETI phenomenon has had negative impacts on the environment and society, making the active role of the village government crucial. Based on the research results, the role of the village government is divided into two main forms: prevention and enforcement. Prevention includes socialization, education, and warnings to the community about the dangers of PETI. Meanwhile, enforcement is carried out through coordination with security forces, conducting raids, and monitoring PETI locations. However, the effectiveness of this role faces obstacles, both internally in the form of differences in perception between the village government and the mining community, and externally such as low legal awareness and limited economic alternatives for the community. These findings indicate that handling PETI requires a more comprehensive approach, including strengthening regulations, economic empowerment, and synergy between government institutions. This research is relevant to the theory of social roles (Soejono Soekanto) and public policy (James E. Anderson), and is supported by legal provisions such as Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining. Keywords: Village Government, PETI, Illegal Mining, Public Policy, Sungai Buluh Hamlet

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas metode Imlā’ Mandzūr dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis (mahārah al-kitābah) siswa kelas VIII.7 MTsN 2 Kota Makassar. Metode Imlā’ Mandzūr, yang menekankan pengamatan dan penyalinan teks tanpa melihat kembali, bertujuan meningkatkan daya ingat, konsentrasi, dan ketelitian siswa. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart diterapkan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis siswa setelah penerapan metode Imlā’ Mandzūr. Nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 41,61 (pra-siklus) menjadi 64,12 (siklus I) dan 84,64 (siklus II). Persentase ketuntasan belajar juga meningkat drastis dari 21,21% menjadi 87,88%. Selain peningkatan kuantitatif, terdapat peningkatan kualitatif pada aspek ketepatan penulisan, penggunaan harakat, kerapian, dan keterbacaan tulisan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Imlā’ Mandzūr efektif meningkatkan mahārah al-kitābah siswa. Penelitian ini mendukung penerapan metode ini dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab untuk meningkatkan kualitas menulis siswa. Keberhasilan metode ini dapat dipertimbangkan untuk diterapkan di sekolah lain. Penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengkaji efektivitas metode ini pada jenjang pendidikan dan mata pelajaran lain.
