Abstract

Education in Indonesia is facing significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced the learning process to move online. This has a negative impact on students' learning motivation and concentration, as well as giving rise to various technical and psychological obstacles. Action research in the classroom was carried out to address this issue. to explore the application of virtual ice breaking as a method to increase student motivation in online learning to reactivate their interest and enthusiasm for learning. This method is designed to provide a fun and interactive break in the middle of a lesson, so that students can be more focused and actively involved in the online learning process. The research method uses observation, questionnaires to students, and interviews with students' parents as data collection techniques. The research results show that virtual ice breaking is effective in creating a fun learning atmosphere and encouraging students to actively participate. Thus, this approach has the potential to improve overall student learning outcomes, overcome challenges in online learning, and assist educators in achieving learning goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi Math City Map pada materi luas bangun datar di kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yaitu Analysis (analisis), Design (desain), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation (implementasi), dan Evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Hasil validasi ahli materi 90,7%, ahli Bahasa 90,7% dan ahli media 93%dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil praktiikalitas respon guru disekolah ujicoba adalah 90,7% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan respon peserta didik 88,2% kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan hasil respon guru pada sekolah penelitian pertama adalah 93% kategori sangat praktis dan peserta didik 92,6% kategori sangat praktis. Sekolah penelitian kedua mendapatkan respon guru yaitu 96% kategori sangat praktis dan peserta didik 96,52% kategori sangat praktis. Hasil uji efektivitas media pembelajaran menunjukan peningkatan di sekolah ujicoba dari 66,7% menjadi 89,5%. Sekolah penelitian pertama hasil uji efektivitas yakni 72,9% meningkat menjadi 92,4% dengan kategori sangat efektif. Dan di sekolah penelitian kedua hasil uji efektivitasnya juga mengalami peningkatan yakni dari 74,4% meningkat menjadi 90,2% dengan kategori sangat efektif. Dengan demikian media pembeljaaran berbantuan aplikasi Math City Map pada materi luas bangun datar di kelas IV SD dapat dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the talking stick learning model assisted by magic stick media on student learning outcomes in thematic learning on the environmental theme of our friends in class V of SD Negeri 107461 Paya Lombang Village. This research uses quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group research design. The data collection technique in this research is a written test. The population in this study were all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 107461 Paya Lombang Village, totaling 38 students with sampling using random sampling. The research results showed that the average posttest score for the experimental group was 74.44 (good category) which was higher than the average posttest score for the control group, namely 62 (fair category). Based on the results of the t-test, the calculated t value was 1.9447 which was greater than the t table, namely 1.6882 (1.9447 > 1.6882). Based on the results of the t-test, it showed that there was an influence on the talking stick learning model assisted by magic stick media. on student learning outcomes in thematic learning on the environmental theme of our friends class V at SD Negeri 107461 Paya Lombang Village for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This research discussesd the Comparison CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) Method and SQ3R Method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, And Review) on Reading Comprehension Ability and Learning Outcomes of Class V Students of Cluster 1 Elementary School, Tarowang District, Jeneponto Regency. This research aimed to determine whether there any differences in students’ reading abilities and learning outcomes using the CIRC learning method and the SQ3R learning method. The type of research used was quasy experimental design research with the Nonequivalent Multiple-Group Design type. The population in this study were all class V Cluster 1 Tarowang District which consists of three schools with a total 128 students. The research sample chosen was class V students UPT SD Negeri 4 Tarowang, totaling 40 students usingbo random cluster sampling technique. Data collection techniques in the research were carried out through test techniques to determine students’ reading comprehension abilities and learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice questions and descriptions of 20 questions, as well as observation sheets to find out the implementation of the CIRC method and the SQ3R method. The results of research based on descriptive analysis showed that the average value of the CIRC learning method was 84.50. Meanwhile, when applying the SQ3R learning method, an average score of 83 was obtained. This means that the CIRC learning method is more improved than the SQ3R learning method. Meanwhile, the results of the inferential analysis show that the CIRC learning method is more significant effect compared to the SQ3R learning method on the reading comprehension ability and learning outcomes of class V UPT SD Negeri 4 Tarowang students. This is based on the results of the paired sample t test obtained, namely the sig value. 0,001 < 0,005.

Abstract

Research to find out how students' reading comprehension skills through the PQ4R learning method, how students' reading comprehension skills through the DRTA learning method, whether there are differences between the PQ4R method and the DRTA method in students' reading comprehension skills. Using a quantitative approach with quasy experimental design type nonequivalent multiple-group research. The population of this study was all grade V students of Elementary School cluster 1 Wolo District, Kolaka Regency which amounted to 304 students. The sample of this study used cluster random sampling technique based on population needs. Data analysis is done through descriptive statistical analysis. The prerequisite tests used are normality tests and homogeneity tests then hypothesis tests (Independent Sample T Test). The results showed that there were differences in the application of the PQ4R learning method and the DRTA learning method to students' reading comprehension skills. The score obtained from the independent sample t test is 0.001 which shows smaller than 0.05.   Keywords: DRTA, PQ4R, reading comprehension skills

Abstract

This research aims to determine the basic passing technique abilities of students participating in extracurricular volleyball. This research uses qualitative descriptive. The subjects in this research were all students participating in extracurricular volleyball at SDN Karangharja II, totaling 16 students. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation to determine the basic passing technique abilities of each individual. The results of this study showed that of the 8 male students participating in extracurricular volleyball, 6 of the participating students were able to position their fingers and arms correctly, body position well and correctly, hit the ball correctly and have a good final stance so that the passing ability of the 6 participating students the quality is very good. However, the 2 student participants were not able to perform finger and arm positions, body positions, contact with the ball, and the final stance was not correct so that their lower passing ability was of poor quality. Meanwhile, 1 female student participant was able to position her fingers and arms correctly, body position well and correctly, hit the ball correctly and have a good final stance so that the down passing ability of 1 student participant was of very good quality. However, the 7 female student participants were not able to perform finger and arm positions, body positions, contact with the ball, and the final stance was not correct so that their lower passing ability was not of good quality. Abstract

Kajian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV SDN Palebon 03 Semarang. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh buruknya prestasi akademik siswa kelas IV SDN Palebon 03 Semarang. Kajian ini memiliki tujuan dalam kemajuan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Kajian ini ialah kajian tindakan kelas yang dijalankan pada dua siklus. Tiap siklus termuat dalam tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi/evaluasi, serta refleksi. Subyek kajian ini ialah siswa kelas IV SDN Palebon 03 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 27 orang. Pengumpulan data pada kajian ini dijalankan dengan memakai lembar penilaian. Data dikumpulkan dianalisis memakai metode analisis statistik deskriptif serta metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil kajian menjelaskan yakni pembelajaran IPAS dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Wordwall mampu memajukan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Palebon 03 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Dalam siklus I rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sekitar 73 dan mengalami kemajuan menjadi 91 pada siklus II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya pelaksanaan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik di kelas sehingga berdampak pada hasil belajar yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan model Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SDN 23 Bukik Apik Kabupaten Agam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yaitu siklus I dilaksanakan 2 pertemuan dan siklus II dilaksanakan 1 pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pada: a) Modul Ajar siklus I dengan rata-rata 87,48% (B) , siklus II 95,83% (SB), b) Pelaksanaan pada aspek pendidik siklus I dengan rata-rata 78,57% (C), siklus II 92,85% (SB), sedangkan pelaksanaan pada aspek peserta didik siklus I dengan rata-rata 76,78% (C), siklus II 92,85% (SB), c) Penilaian terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 72,18 dan siklus II rata-rata 88. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The background to this research problem is the low presentation skills of students. Based on interviews with fourth grade teachers, it is known that many students feel less confident in communicating, especially when they have to speak in front of the class. Apart from that, the low ability to speak in public is also caused by the lack of learning media in class IV at SDN Pagerjaya, so that when learning takes place, students often enjoy themselves with their friends. This research uses research and development methods with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The sample for this research was class IV students at SDN Pagerjaya. Data collection techniques used include interviews, documentation, and rubrics. This research produces Pop Up Book media to improve presentation skills in grade IV science and science learning at SDN Pagerjaya. The research results show that, based on validity assessments from material experts and media experts, the Pop Up Book media developed has met the valid criteria in the very good category. Responses from class IV students and teachers also show that this media is very suitable for use. Based on the results of the t test, H1 is accepted, which means that Pop Up Book media influences the presentation skills of class IV students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using picture story media on the ability to read aloud to class II students at MIT Al-Fuad, Tangerang City. The research approach used is quantitative, Quasi Experimental, Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used was a performance test of the ability to read aloud. Data analysis used the SPSS Version 22 application. The results of the posttest class hypothesis test calculation showed a Sig. (2-tailed) 0.015 < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of picture story media influences the ability to read aloud to class II students at MIT Al-Fuad, Tangerang City. Keywords: Picture Story Media, Reading Aloud.
