Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Approach (RMA) on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and to compare the learning completeness of students taught with RMA and conventional learning. The type of research used is a quasi-experiment with a post-test only control group design. The research sample consisted of students in class VIII-1 as the experimental class who were taught using the RMA, and students in class VIII-2 as the control class who were taught using conventional methods. The research instruments were pre-test and post-test questions in the form of essays compiled based on indicators of mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests. Before testing the hypothesis, the data was tested for normality using Shapiro-Wilk and homogeneity using Levene's test. The test results showed that the data of both groups was normally distributed and homogeneous. Data analysis used the Independent Sample T-test. The t-test results showed that the t-count value was greater than the t-table (6.822 > 2.024), so the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of the Realistic Mathematics Approach on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Students who learn with RMA have better problem-solving abilities than students who are taught through conventional learning at SMP Daya Cipta Medan. In addition, the mastery of problem-solving skills among students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, indicating that the realistic mathematics approach is more effective in improving the quality of mathematics learning.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and digital literacy are essential competencies for students to face the challenges of the 21st century. These skills enable learners to analyze information effectively, solve complex problems, and use technology responsibly in various contexts. However, in many classrooms, these competencies are often underdeveloped due to the predominance of conventional, teacher-centered learning methods that do not actively engage students in problem-solving or technology integration. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Canva on the critical thinking skills and digital literacy of tenth-grade students in Biology at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a pretest-posttest control group design, to compare the performance of students in two learning conditions. The population consisted of 359 students, with a sample of 36 students in class X.1 as the experimental group using PBL assisted by Canva, and 36 students in class X.2 as the control group using the Discovery Learning model. Instruments included an essay-based critical thinking skills test and a digital literacy questionnaire developed based on established indicators. Both instruments underwent validity and reliability testing prior to use. Data were analyzed using the Independent T-test with SPSS version 25 after testing for normality and homogeneity. The results showed a significant effect of the PBL model assisted by Canva on both critical thinking skills and digital literacy, indicated by significance values of less than 0.05 for both variables. Therefore, the PBL model assisted by Canva is proven effective in enhancing students’ higher-order thinking and digital competencies, making it a recommended approach for Biology learning and potentially for other science subjects in secondary education. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui1)mendeskripsikan persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan perpustakaan 2)mendeskripsikan persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan sirkulasi 3)mendeskripsikan persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan referensi dan 4) mendeskripsikan persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan penelusuran informasi.jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif.populasi dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik yang mengunjungi perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 Padang berjumlah 76 sampel.pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling.insturmen yang digunakan untuk peneliti berupa angket tertutup dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif.hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa:1) rata-rata persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan perpustakaan sebesar 4.1 kategori baik,2) rata-rata persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan sirkulasi sebesar 4.1 kategori baik,3) rata-rata persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan referensi sebesar 4.2 kategori baik dan 4) rata-rata persepsi peserta didik tentang layanan pembaca perpustakaan di smp al azhar 32 padang berdasarkan dimensi layanan penelusuran informasi sebesar 3.7 kategori baik.saran bagi kepala sekolah di harapkan lebih memperhatikan peran pustakawan dalam memberikan pelayanan baik melalui peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi penyediaan program literasi membaca maupun penambahan fasilitas yang mendukung kenyamanan peserta didik

Abstract

Community service through Real Work Lecture (KKN) is a manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This activity was carried out by students of Nusa Putra University in Warudoyong Hamlet, Margaluyu Village, from February to March 2025. The location of the activity was chosen because it faced various challenges in the education, health, and economic sectors. The aim of this program is to improve the quality of life of the community through empowerment in these three sectors. The method applied is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results of the study showed that KKN activities had a positive effect on increasing awareness of the importance of education, preventing stunting through integrated health posts and PMT, and strengthening MSMEs through branding training and product promotion. Active community involvement in this program is a key factor in the success of the activity and shows the potential for sustainable development based on collaboration.

Abstract

This study is a literature review aimed at examining the effectiveness of cooperative learning strategies in improving learning outcomes in Social Studies (IPS) subjects at the elementary school level. Cooperative learning strategies have been widely adopted as a teaching method that encourages active student participation, enhances learning motivation, and strengthens conceptual understanding collaboratively. Through analysis of various related studies and scientific articles, it was found that the implementation of cooperative learning has a significant positive impact on the achievement of Social Studies learning outcomes, both cognitively and socially. Additionally, this strategy helps develop students’ communication and teamwork skills. The findings of this review are expected to serve as a reference for educators and researchers in developing effective teaching models in elementary schools, particularly for Social Studies subjects.

Abstract

This study examines the role of transformational leadership in shaping organizational culture and enhancing pedagogical competence at XYZ Junior High School. Using a case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the principal, vice principal, pedagogical leaders, and teachers. The findings reveal that transformational leadership supports the strengthening of organizational culture through motivation, a shared vision, and an inclusive learning community. However, implementation faces challenges within the four dimensions of transformational leadership: Idealized Influence, Intellectual Stimulation, Individualized Consideration, and Inspirational Motivation. Organizational culture-related challenges include communication across hierarchical levels, aligning leadership practices, and addressing diverse needs and aspirations. Organizational culture plays a crucial role in preparing teachers for change, fostering collaboration, creating a positive work environment, and supporting continuous professional development. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating transformational leadership with a responsive organizational culture to navigate curriculum changes and strengthen pedagogical competence. Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the implementation of Islamic religiouseducation within the family and its influence on the behavior of tenth-grade studentsat MA Darussalam Pekat, and (2) the implications of Islamic religious educationwithin the family for the behavior of tenth-grade students at MA Darussalam Pekat.This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach,conducted at MA Darussalam Pekat. The participants consisted of teachers,students, and parents. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, and theanalysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicatethat: (1). The implementation of Islamic religious education in the family takes placethrough three main aspects: daily religious practices, parental role modeling, andengagement in religious activities at home. However, the practice is not yetconsistent and largely depends on communication style, parental consistency, andthe family’s socio-economic conditions. (2). The implications of Islamic religiouseducation within the family are significant for students’ behavior. Most studentsdemonstrate religious attitudes, discipline, politeness, and strong learningmotivation, largely due to parental advice and role modeling. In conclusion, theimplications of Islamic religious education require strong cooperation between theschool, parents, and students to effectively build students’ character and behaviorbased on Islamic values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis dan karakter WASAKA (disiplin) pada siswa dengan mengimplementasikan model Problem Based Learning, Time Token, dan Teams Games Tournament Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Jejangkit Pasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa telah mencapai persentase 93,33% yakni sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan klasikal yaitu ≥75% dan karakter WASAKA siswa telah mencapai persentase 100% yakni sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan klasikal ≥80%. Berdasarkan perolehan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Problem Based Learning, Time Token, dan Teams Games Tournament terintegrasi STEAM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan karakter siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship and influence of the dormitory environment on the learning achievement of fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta Ma'had Al-Zaytun. A conducive learning environment is a crucial factor in educational success, and the boarding school system is believed to contribute positively to students' academic achievements through strict supervision, regular schedules, and controlled supporting facilities. This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of all fourth-grade students at MI Swasta Ma'had Al-Zaytun, totaling 158 students. A sample of 37 students was selected using purposive sampling based on criteria such as having lived in the dormitory for at least one semester and exhibiting a variety of learning achievement levels. Data was collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire to measure students' perceptions of the dormitory environment and learning achievements, which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression tests. The results showed a weak negative relationship between the dormitory environment and students' learning achievements, with a correlation coefficient of -0.318 (p = 0.055). This relationship is not significant at the 5% significance level, although it approaches significance at the 10% level. Regression analysis indicates a negative influence of the dormitory environment on learning achievement with a regression coefficient of -0.203 and an R Square value of 0.101, meaning the dormitory environment explains only 10.1% of the variation in learning achievement, while the remaining 89.9% is influenced by other factors such as study motivation, teaching methods, family support, and students' physical condition. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan permainan Lego dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5–6 tahun di PAUD Al Khairiyah Delingseng Cilegon. Perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini mencakup kemampuan berpikir simbolik dan pemecahan masalah yang perlu diasah melalui media yang menyenangkan dan edukatif. Salah satunya adalah permainan Lego yang mampu merangsang kemampuan berpikir logis, imajinatif, serta koordinasi motorik dan visual anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas dan anak usia 5–6 tahun yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan bermain Lego di PAUD tersebut. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan permainan Lego memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak, khususnya dalam aspek berpikir simbolik dan pemecahan masalah. Anak mampu mengenali dan menyusun lambang bilangan, mencocokkan bentuk, serta menyusun bangunan sederhana dengan kreativitas dan pemikiran logis.
