Abstract

The research aimed to know the effect of Freewriting technique on students’ ability to write procedure text. This research used a quantitative method. There were two classes as the sample in this research which was taken randomly from 24 classes. One class was AKL 1 as experimental, there were 35 students, and the other class was AKL 2 as the control class, there were 35 students. In determining the sample, the researcher used cluster random sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used a writing test. In analysing the data, the researcher used the t-test formula. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that ttest 6.66 and ttable = 1.67 with the significance 5% (0,05) and ttable =2.39 with the significance 1% (0,01). It means that ttest > ttable. So, Ha was accepted. This shows that there is any positive and significant influence of using freewriting technique on the students’ writing ability. The students who were taught through the Freewriting technique got a higher score than those who were not taught through Freewriting technique. The average score of the experimental class was 68.61 and the average score of the control class was 57.14.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how constructivist learning theory is applied in Indonesian language learning at the secondary school level, namely at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. The research method used in this research is qualitative. The results of the research show that there are six stages in the learning process using a constructivist theory approach which includes: (1) listening, (2) expressing opinions, (3) dividing into groups, (4) giving assignments, (5) discussing in groups, and (6) evaluate the text of the saga in the form of a video that has been watched together. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it was found that the application of constructivist language learning theory has relevance to the learning outcomes of saga texts in the form of listening elements. Students can evaluate and create information in the form of ideas, thoughts, feelings, views, directions, or accurate messages from listening to the text. the story in the form of a video that has been presented. So that students can learn independently and critically through various learning activities.

Abstract

The idea for developing this mind mapping-based pocket book originated from the unavailability of science learning resources that encourage and facilitate students to study independently outside of class hours. Mind mapping based pocket books are important for students to study independently because they are relatively small in size and include a mind map. This research aims to develop a pocket book based on mind mapping, to determine feasibility, response and effectiveness. This research is development research using the ADDIE model. The research results showed that the average validity score for the mind mapping based pocket book from the three validators was 93% in the very feasible category. The response assessment results from educators obtained a score of 93%, and from students it was 88.65%, both of which fell into the very appropriate category. The results of the product trial prove that this product development is effective and in accordance with the average score of 96% of the 10 students who took part in the product trial. This means that the pocket book based on mind mapping for science subjects is effective in maximizing the learning outcomes of class V students

Abstract

The main problem is the residual learning outcomes that are less than optimal, to improve learning outcomes, teachers must be able to use interesting and innovative learning models such as the Articulation learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in history learning outcomes by using the Articulation learning model in class X TKJ I even semester SMK Tamansiswa Teluk Betung. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects in this study were 22 students of class X TKJ I at SMK Tamansiswa Teluk Betung. Classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings consisting of several stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, written tests and documentation. From the results of this study it can be concluded that (1) Student activity in applying the Articulation learning model during cycles I and II experienced an increase where in cycle I it reached 72% and in cycle II it reached 92%. (2) Student learning outcomes after the implementation of the Articulation learning model experienced a very good increase. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of learning completeness was 45.45%, then it increased in cycle I by obtaining a percentage of learning completeness of 68.82% and in cycle II, the percentage of learning completeness was 86.36%. From these results it can be concluded that using the Articulation learning model can improve history learning outcomes in class X TKJ I SMK Tamansiswa in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This research was conducted as an effort to develop HOTS-based questions which included discussions on Historiography (Traditional, Colonial, National and Modern). In this study applied quantitative research methods using research and development methods to find out and measure the level of students’ understanding of the use of Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) questions in the material types of historiography in history learning. The development research method is research that is used to test the level of success and effectiveness of a product, which in this case is based on the use of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions. This study also aims to see the results in the form of elaboration starting from the process to the results in the HOTS test questions tested, also to measure the level of development of the questions on the Historiographical types of material that have been tested before through verification of teaching staff, fellow students, and field tests so that later questions is valid and the results of this research data are also real.
