Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the process and influence of character education based on the Canva application at SD IT Mamba'ul Ulum Jepara. Method: The approach used is a qualitative case study, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of PAI teachers and sixth-grade students. Result: The results show that the use of Canva creates interactive, collaborative, and creative learning. Students not only understand the values of honesty, empathy, and environmental awareness cognitively, but also internalize them through the creation of digital posters. Conclusion: The digital graphic design platform (Canva) serves as an instrument for internalizing moral values, transforming conventional methods into a visual-creative approach that is relevant to the alpha generation. Implication: This research contributes an innovative model for Islamic character education in the digital age, proving that technology not only serves as a technical tool but also as an effective medium for transforming spiritual and moral values holistically. This study recommends the use of digital creative media to enhance students' motivation and digital literacy skills in religious education.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the issues of the sanad of the tarbawi hadith and its implications for early childhood education at Raudhatul Athfal. Method: Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this study examines the quality of the sanad of the hadith, which is often used as the basis for the curriculum and learning practices in Islamic educational institutions. Result: The results show that not all tarbawi hadith used are authentic; some are hasan, daif, or even maudhu'. Conclusion: This finding emphasizes the importance of RA teachers' caution in using hadith as the basis for principles and parameters for shaping children's behavior. Sahih hadith on prayer, compassion, the prohibition of violence, and the Prophet's relationship with children are proven to align with the principles of modern, compassion-based education. Meanwhile, popular daif hadith such as"Educate your child according to his age"It needs to be understood contextually and not used as a normative basis. Implication: This study emphasizes the urgency of hadith literacy for Raudhatul Athfal teachers to ensure that the implementation of tarbawi values remains authentic and aligned with the developmental needs of early childhood

Abstract

This study explores the integration of pesantren (Islamic boarding school) values into the formal education system at MI Unggulan Annawawi, aiming to shape the character of Generation Z students. Employing a qualitative field research approach, data were gathered through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that structured programs such as congregational dhuha prayer, memorization of short surahs and nadzom, and daily supplication have a significant impact on students' religious character and discipline. However, student independence remains limited, primarily due to the absence of senior student role models. Teachers play a pivotal role as spiritual mentors and behavior models. The study concludes that continuous and adaptive mentoring strategies are essential to enhance autonomy, especially in newly established Islamic educational institutions. This research contributes to the discourse on Islamic character education in the digital age and highlights the challenges of contextualizing pesantren values for contemporary learners.

Abstract

Background: This study critically analyzes misinterpretations of hadiths related to disability, which often lead to the stigmatization of persons with disabilities. Using a thematic (mawḍū‘ī) analysis of hadiths concerning the obligation to seek knowledge (ṭalab al-‘ilm) and the Prophet’s treatment of people with disabilities. Purpose of the Study; this research reveals that Islamic teachings strongly support inclusive education. The study demonstrates that universal hadiths on knowledge and the rejection of judgments based on physical appearance provide a theological foundation for inclusive education policies.  Conclusion: These findings emphasize the need for a correct understanding of these hadiths in order to shape inclusive and equitable education policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the implementation of the Tikrar method as a strategy to enhance the cognitive capacity of children with special needs (CWSN) in tahfiz learning at the Al-Wildan Bekasi Inclusive Tahfiz School. Method: The research uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving researchers, tahfiz teachers, inclusion teachers, parents, and student facilitators through cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through structured observations, in-depth interviews, documentation, and pre- and post-tests of memorization. Result: The results show significant improvements in working memory, concentration, verse repetition ability, reading accuracy, and overall student engagement. The average memorization improvement ranged from 37% to 83%, with notable progress among students with attention deficits and mild learning disabilities. The study concludes that Tikrar not only serves as an effective memorization method but also enhances cognitive structures, emotional regulation, and behavioral stability in CWSN. The method proves to be a highly relevant pedagogical approach for inclusion-based tahfiz education, provided it is adapted to the individual needs of each student. Conclusion: The findings suggest integrating Tikrar into the inclusive tahfiz curriculum as an effective tool for improving both cognitive and emotional development. Suggestion: Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of Tikrar and its adaptation in digital formats to increase engagement and motivation among students with special needs.

Abstract

This article explores socio-religious conflict resolution in Lombok through the lens of peace communication as a learning process embedded in power relations and cultural practices. While the state formally addressed conflict through mediation and interfaith dialogue under the discourse of harmony, mechanisms for preventive protection and trauma-sensitive recovery for minority groups remained insufficient. Consequently, conflict resolution practices tended to privilege social order and majoritarian norms over the substantive realization of freedom of religion or belief. Employing a qualitative case study approach, this research draws on in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving religious leaders, community actors, and conflict-affected minorities. The findings reveal that state-led dialogue largely reproduces a depoliticized notion of peace, where harmony is defined as the absence of visible tension rather than as a process of justice, recognition, and equality. In contrast, the Mareje community developed a grassroots model of peace communication grounded in local wisdom, particularly gawe rapah, which operates as a counter-hegemonic learning space. Through collective rituals, shared memory, and everyday interaction, this model enables the reconstruction of trust, the negotiation of difference, and the intergenerational transmission of coexistence values. This study argues that socio-religious conflict resolution in Lombok should be understood as a form of critical peace education, where learning functions not only to restore social relations but also to challenge dominant frameworks of harmony. By situating peace communication within local cultural praxis, this research contributes to critical peace studies and debates on inclusive and transformative conflict resolution.
