Abstract

Background: The research highlights the cultural challenges in Pandeglang, particularly in enhancing character education and child protection. The increasing cases of sexual violence against adolescents in schools and the traditional, normative nature of PAI learning, which lacks contextual relevance to students' real-life issues, underline the necessity of this research. By integrating PPKS into PAI learning, this study proposes a strategic, innovative approach to teaching not only spiritual values and worship but also critical awareness of self-protection and understanding boundaries in social interactions. Purpose: This study aims to explore the integration of the Sexual Violence Prevention Service Unit (PPKS) into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to strengthen character building and religious literacy among junior high school students in Pandeglang Regency. Method: The research uses a mixed-methods approach with an Explanatory Sequential Design, combining quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights from interviews and observations. Result: The findings indicate that the integration of PPKS significantly improves students’ character and religious literacy, contributing to a holistic approach in Islamic education. Conclusion: The study emphasizes the need for a curriculum responsive to contemporary social issues and recommends PPKS integration as a strategic solution for character education in junior high schools, especially in areas facing similar social challenges. Implication: Further research is suggested to use a longitudinal approach and incorporate AI-based learning analytics to refine the model’s application across diverse cultural contexts.

Abstract

The development of religiosity in early childhood requires a systematic learning plan so that the values of faith, worship, and morals can be optimally instilled during the golden age. This study aims to develop a design for enhancing religiosity in Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) through the application of the ADDIE model at RA Al Ihsan. The study uses a qualitative approach with a Research and Development (R&D) method, employing interviews, observations, and documentation with the head of RA and teachers. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis with triangulation to ensure data validity. The results indicate that integrating the ADDIE model with integrative, contextual, and participatory principles effectively internalizes religious values across all learning activities through habituation of worship, teacher role modeling, the use of creative media, and collaboration between the school and parents. The implementation of this design positively impacts the improvement of children’s religious behavior. This study concludes that the religiosity development model based on ADDIE is feasible to be used as a reference for other PIAUD institutions.

Abstract

Background: This study is grounded in the importance of Islamic education in shaping community character and the need to understand how Qur’anic values are internalized within a religious community that consistently upholds them in daily life. Purpose: The research aims to analyze the process of internalizing Islamic educational values in the Qur’anic Village of Sirangkap, Mandailing Natal, through five interconnected stages: value transformation, value transaction, transinternalization, social integration of values, and value formalization. Method: Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and examined using Muhaimin’s theory of value internalization, Bandura’s social learning theory, Piaget–Kohlberg’s moral development theory, Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory, and Durkheim’s concept of social integration. Result: The findings reveal that Islamic values are internalized through five interconnected stages: value transformation, value transaction, transinternalization, social integration, and value formalization. This process is sustained through parental and religious role modeling, educational interactions in schools and community spaces, collective religious habituation, strong social cohesion based on ukhuwah, and the institutionalization of values within village regulations and religious institutions. As a result, Islamic values evolve from external norms into intrinsic motivations that shape individual behavior and collective identity. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the Sirangkap model offers a sustainable community-based framework for Islamic value education, which can inform similar initiatives in other rural or socially vulnerable communities seeking to strengthen moral character and social resilience through Islamic education.

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines the mechanism of multi-stakeholder transformative dialogue in transforming pesantren orientation through tasawuf values and its relationship with post-conflict deradicalization. Method: A qualitative case study was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur'an Amanah, Poso, Sulawesi Tengah during 12 months (January-December 2024) through observation, interviews, participant observation, and document analysis with a theoretical framework integrating positive dialogue theory from Bourdieu and 45% (2010) positive impacts. Result: The research findings reveal a comprehensive dialogue model that integrates: (1) ekogrit (recognition ecology) transforming rigid understanding of religious uniformity; (2) restructuring curriculum and pedagogy towards contextual-substantivist approaches rather than textualist-formalist such as low self-esteem, patience, and universal love; (3) implementation of sustainable dialogue with multi-religious communities based on the principle of ukhuwan insaniyyah (universal brotherhood) and sulh (reconciliation). Tasawuf values such as iksan, qana'ah, and dzikir practices strengthen collective identity and spiritual resilience in facing post-conflict trauma. Conclusion: The transformation produces tangible impacts: trust among religious communities increased 78% (2010 to 2024), inter-religious conflicts decreased from 12 cases/year to almost zero since 2016, membership growth in Koperasi Syariah Lintas Agama reached 457%, and the deradicalization model based on tasawuf values is replicable for 128,000 pesantren in Indonesia, contributing significantly to SDG 16 regarding peace, justice, and strong institutions.
