Abstract

Remission is a right granted to prisoners who meet certain requirements while serving their sentences. This study discusses the process of granting remission at Permisan Class IIA Prison in Nusakambangan, which has stricter regulations compared to other prisons. Based on Law Number 22 of 2022 on Corrections, remission must meet administrative and substantive requirements, such as demonstrating good behavior and participating in rehabilitation programs. This study employs a qualitative method with a juridical-normative approach to analyze regulations and the implementation of remission policies at Permisan Prison. The findings indicate that remission at Permisan Prison is more selective due to the high number of inmates convicted of serious crimes. Additionally, transparency in the remission process has been enhanced through digitalized administration, including the use of barcodes and electronic signatures to prevent document manipulation. However, challenges remain, such as controversies over granting remission to serious crime offenders, necessitating regular evaluations of its implementation. This study concludes that remission is not only a form of reward for inmates but also an instrument to encourage rehabilitation and social reintegration while maintaining fairness for society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the institutional branding strategy implemented by the Gen Z study community at the Al Akbar Mosque in Surabaya in strengthening the involvement and loyalty of the younger generation to mosque-based da'wah activities. The study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to explore how the Gen Z community utilizes social media, the selection of popular sources, and institutional support from the Al Akbar Mosque in forming a positive and relevant image for young audiences. The results of the study show that Brand Identity is realized through the use of the Al Akbar Mosque logo, digital pamphlets, and consistent visual documentation on Instagram, creating a strong association with the image of the mosque as a modern da'wah institution. Brand Personality and Brand Association are strengthened by the presence of popular sources, such as Ustadz Hanan Attaki, who are relevant to the younger generation and increase the appeal of the study. In addition, Brand Benefit and Competence are reflected in the unique experiences offered, such as the implementation of the study at dawn, which creates a deep spiritual experience. A consistent institutional branding strategy, including communication through Instagram and WhatsApp groups, builds a responsive Brand Attitude and Behavior and supports the active involvement of young congregants. This study concludes that planned and consistent institutional branding is able to build strong emotional relationships and loyalty of the younger generation to the da'wah community. This strategy is an effective model in the context of digital da'wah and can be adapted by other mosques to build relevant and sustainable relationships in the digital era.

This study was conducted using a quantitative research method. The subjects of this study were students of SMA Virgo Fidelis Bawen with a sample of 99 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5. The results of the validity and reliability tests of the instrument showed that the instruments used in this study were valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis. The normality test showed that the data on the four research variables were normally distributed. The multicollinearity test showed that there were no symptoms of multicollinearity in the independent variables. The heteroscedasticity test showed that the distribution of points on the scatter plot did not have a clear pattern so that it could be interpreted that there was no heteroscedasticity. Thus, all the requirements for regression analysis were met. The results showed that intrapersonal communication had a significant effect on students' spiritual behavior with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.488 (sig. 0.000). Religious content has a significant effect on students' spiritual behavior with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.585 (sig. 0.000). Understanding of religious moderation has a significant effect on students' spiritual behavior with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.821 (sig. 0.000). Abstract

The synonymy of meaning between the words khatama and ṭaba'a in the Qur'an has become an important issue in semantic and exegesis studies. These two words are often understood to have similar meanings, namely to close, but have different contextual nuances. This study aims to analyze the semantic differences between khatama and ṭaba'a, and evaluate their relevance in the context of contemporary exegesis. The method used is a qualitative method with semantic-comparative analysis techniques. The results of the study show that khatama tends to be used to describe God's action in closing the heart permanently as a consequence of rejecting the truth, while ṭaba'a is more of a locking action that is oriented towards cause and effect. In the context of contemporary exegesis, this difference is relevant to understanding the dynamics of guidance and rejection of the truth in modern society. In conclusion, khatama and ṭaba'a are not entirely synonymous, but rather have specific contextual meanings. This study makes an important contribution in deepening the study of the semantics of the Qur'an and enriching the interpretation of exegesis with a contextual approach.

Abstract

Acts of violence against women such as domestic violence (KDRT), harassment and other forms of violence are caused by the majority of men considering and positioning themselves as nobler and stronger than women. Many studies discuss men, women and gender equality from various points of view. However, research that emphasizes the full responsibility of men towards women from an interpretive perspective is still rare. This article aims to outline a discussion about men's responsibilities in maintaining and restoring the glory of women which is declining amidst the times. By using a contextual-based interpretive approach, this researcher explores the interpretation of Surah Al-Rūm verse 21 from Mutawalli Al-Sya'rawi's perspective in describing the significant roles of men and women. This research shows that men as human beings who are given superior strength and a higher status than women have the full responsibility throughout life to care for and glorify women both inside and outside the bonds of marriage, especially to restore the glory of women who are currently experiencing decline amidst the times. This study is useful as additional knowledge and theory to help awareness of the magnitude of men's responsibility in looking after women anytime and anywhere
