Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of participatory learning strategies on the activeness and result of Fiqh. Quantitative experimental design with 40 students. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observations, tests, and documentation. The validity test used construct validity while the reliability test used Cronbach's Alpha. The data prerequisite test used the normality test and parametric test, and the data was analyzed using a simple regression test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is significant effectiveness between participatory learning strategies and student’s liveliness with the results of R> p-value (0.467> 0.038). (2) There is significant effectiveness between participatory learning strategies and student’s result with the results of Y> p-value (0.324> 0.164). And (3) There is an increase in students' grades after using the Participatory Learning strategy when compared to students' mid-term exam grades on the subject of fiqh. Participatory strategies significantly increase activeness, but the effect on result needs further verification.

Abstract

School culture is crucial in creating a supportive work environment, which directly affects teacher motivation. Teacher motivation, as a key element in the education system, has a significant impact on the effectiveness of teaching and the quality of student learning outcomes. This study analyzes how indicators of organizational culture in schools, such as innovation, attention to detail, outcome orientation, individual orientation, and team orientation, affect teacher motivation. Using a qualitative approach through case studies, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The results showed that a culture that encourages innovation and measured risk-taking has a positive impact on teacher motivation. A culture that emphasizes attention to detail encourages a focus on teaching quality. In addition, a result-oriented culture motivates teachers by aligning their efforts with clear achievement goals. The study also revealed that a culture that supports individual development and professional growth significantly increases teacher motivation. Another important factor is effective leadership, which plays a vital role in fostering a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.

Abstract

Publications on the topic of women's leadership have grown rapidly since gender equality became a strategic issue worldwide. The aim of this publication is to map publication trends on the topic of women's leadership, including authors who write extensively on the topic, organizations involved in the publication, and publication trends from year to year. The method used is bibliometric analysis using VosViewer. The data used is from the Scopus database with the search keyword “women's leadership,” yielding 74,046 documents, consisting of 54,288 journal articles, 6,582 book chapters, 4,747 reviews, 3,568 conference proceedings, 2,497 books, 1,046 notes, 707 editorials, 311 short surveys, 164 letters, 70 errata, 32 conference reviews, 26 retracted publications, and 6 data papers. The results of the analysis show that publication trends from 1980 to 2024 have continued to increase significantly. The two authors with the most publications are not primarily focused on the social sciences. Two institutions have the highest number of publications on “women's leadership in education,” namely the University of Alabama and Northwestern University. Authors from these two universities are known to have collaborated on publications. Further recommendations suggest that publications on the “women's leadership in education” theme can be developed into empirical research, particularly by connecting it to other fields of study.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of profitability (ROE), debt policy (DER), and investment decisions (PER) on company value (PBV) in the Indonesian insurance sub-sector (IDX, 2019-2023) using multiple linear regression and secondary data from company financial reports. The regression analysis shows a positive and significant effect of profitability (ROE) and a negative and significant effect of debt policy (DER) on company value (PBV). Investment decisions (PER), although showing a positive effect, are not statistically significant. The model explains 66.5% of the variance in PBV. These findings have practical implications for investors, insurance company management, and regulators in investment decision-making, corporate strategy, and regulatory development. This research contributes original insights by providing up-to-date empirical data for the post-pandemic period, filling a gap in the literature, and offering a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of insurance company valuation in Indonesia.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in education is increasingly recognized as a strategic effort to support character development and improve student discipline. This study explores the development and implementation of a digital-based attendance system to enhance the discipline of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 62 Palembang. Employing a research and development (R&D) approach based on the Borg and Gall model, this study involved stages from preliminary research to product refinement. The digital attendance system utilizes barcode technology, allowing real-time and automated recording of student attendance. In the context of Indonesian elementary education, the use of barcode-based attendance represents a novel and practical innovation, addressing long-standing challenges of manual record-keeping and promoting digital literacy among students and teachers alike. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, user practicality assessments by teachers and students, and discipline observations. Quantitative analysis revealed that the developed product was highly valid, with expert approval ratings indicating strong content and media reliability. The practicality test showed 98% of teachers and 100% of students responded favorably. Effectiveness was evaluated through pretest and posttest assessments of student discipline, supported by statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test, both showing significant improvements in the experimental groups (p = 0.000). These findings demonstrate that digital attendance systems can significantly increase student punctuality and overall discipline. This study contributes to the growing literature on educational technology adoption in elementary schools and provides practical insights for schools seeking innovative digital solutions to support character education and school management.

Abstract

Students tend to be at risk of experiencing mental health disorders. One example of a mental health disorder is Fear of Missing Out. This feeling of fear of being left behind will trigger anxiety and end up disrupting a student's academic performance, including medical students. As a result of the disruption of academic performance, it will end in academic stress. This study was an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 168 medical students selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Variables were measured using the Fear of Missing Out questionnaire and the Student Academic Stress Scale (SASS). The analysis was conducted using the Spearman correlation test. Most students had high levels of FOMO (81,5%) and were not academically stressed (54,2%).The results indicated a significant positive correlation with a moderate strength between FOMO and academic stress among medical students in the Medical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Tanjungpura (p = 0.000; r = 0.492).The novelty Examining the relationship of  FoMO with academic stress in medical students in a specific university setting that has not been widely studied. Focusing on a population with high academic stress makes these findings relevant for more targeted psychological interventions.

Abstract

This study examines cultural event programming as a strategy to strengthen brand positioning at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park in the domestic market. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining interviews with four internal stakeholders and surveys of 400 domestic visitors (2022–2025). The analysis applied Cai’s brand positioning model, McKercher and du Cros’s cultural tourist typology, and Getz and Morrison’s participatory event framework. Findings show that while GWK is widely recognized, its cultural image is narrowly associated with the iconic statue, and the visitor experience is often perceived as static. A misalignment between GWK’s cultural mission and commercial focus further weakens its cultural appeal. This study proposes a repositioning model based on symbolic narrative integration, participatory cultural programs, and targeted visitor segmentation. The findings contribute to cultural tourism by introducing an integrated branding-programming model that emphasizes internal alignment to deliver more authentic and immersive cultural experiences.
