Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in improving the quality of learning at senior high schools (SMA) and vocational schools (SMK) in South Bangka Regency. The study is motivated by the need to adapt learning processes to the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0, which require digital transformation in education. A mixed-methods approach was used: descriptive qualitative methods to explore the phenomenon and quantitative survey methods to measure the impact of AI usage. Data were collected through literature reviews, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and questionnaire distribution. The findings indicate that AI applications such as chatbots and adaptive learning platforms enhance student interaction, engagement, and overall learning effectiveness in PAI. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited infrastructure and teachers’ technological competencies were identified. This research provides strategic recommendations for educators and policymakers to optimally integrate AI into Islamic education systems in the digital era. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di jenjang SMA dan SMK di Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Latar belakang studi ini berakar dari kebutuhan untuk menyesuaikan proses pembelajaran dengan era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan Society 5.0 yang menuntut transformasi digital dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran: metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi fenomena dan metode kuantitatif melalui survei untuk mengukur dampak penggunaan AI. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi studi pustaka, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta penyebaran angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan AI seperti chatbot dan platform pembelajaran adaptif meningkatkan interaksi, keterlibatan, dan efektivitas proses pembelajaran PAI. Namun, juga ditemukan tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan kompetensi teknologi di kalangan pendidik. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi pendidik dan pemangku kebijakan untuk mengintegrasikan AI secara optimal dalam sistem pembelajaran agama Islam di era digital.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the high usage of TikTok among students, which has the potential to affect learning outcomes, particularly in Islamic Religious Education classes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the intensity of TikTok usage and PAI learning outcomes among 10th grade students at SMKN 3 Salatiga. This study employs a quantitative approach using a correlational survey method. A sample of 96 students was selected using purposive sampling, with criteria including active TikTok users and having received PAI grades in the current semester. Data was collected through a closed-ended questionnaire measuring the duration, frequency, and engagement of TikTok users, as well as documentation of academic performance grades. The analysis results indicate a positive correlation between the intensity of TikTok usage and PAI learning outcomes, meaning that the intensity of TikTok usage significantly influences PAI learning outcomes. This finding suggests the need for an adaptive learning approach tailored to students' digital habits to ensure that PAI content remains effectively conveyed. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya penggunaan TikTok di kalangan pelajar yang berpotensi memengaruhi hasil belajar, khususnya pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan TikTok dan hasil belajar PAI pada siswa kelas X SMKN 3 Salatiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional. Sampel sebanyak 96 siswa dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan kriteria pengguna aktif TikTok dan telah memperoleh nilai PAI pada semester berjalan. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket tertutup yang mengukur durasi, frekuensi, dan keterlibatan pengguna TikTok, serta dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara intensitas penggunaan TikTok dengan hasil belajar PAI, yang berarti bahwa intensitas penggunaan TikTok berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar PAI. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap kebiasaan digital siswa agar materi PAI tetap efektif tersampaikan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of the role of school principals in improving the quality of education through Islamic education supervision oriented towards pedagogical and spiritual guidance. This study aims to analyze the representation of transformational leadership values of school principals in the implementation of Islamic education supervision at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang. The research used a qualitative approach with data collection methods in the form of in-depth interviews and participant observation. The research informants included the principal, vice principal, two teachers, and one student. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to reveal the forms of programs, policies, and leadership processes that were implemented. The results show that the principal's transformational leadership is represented through several main programs, namely the habit of performing the Dhuha prayer and congregational zikir as a means of fostering students' morals and character, the Al-Qur'an tahsin program to improve Al-Qur'an reading skills in accordance with the school's vision and mission, and the coaching and development of teacher competencies to improve the quality of learning. These programs reflect the four dimensions of transformational leadership according to Bernard M. Bass, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. This study concludes that transformational leadership based on Islamic education supervision contributes significantly to strengthening the quality of education and shaping Islamic character in schools.  Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui supervisi pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada pembinaan pedagogis dan spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi nilai-nilai kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam pelaksanaan supervisi pendidikan Islam di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipan. Informan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dua orang guru, dan satu peserta didik. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif-analitis untuk mengungkap bentuk program, kebijakan, dan proses kepemimpinan yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah direpresentasikan melalui beberapa program utama, yaitu pembiasaan shalat Dhuha dan zikir berjamaah sebagai sarana pembinaan akhlak dan karakter peserta didik, program tahsin Al-Qur’an untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an sesuai visi dan misi sekolah, serta pembinaan dan pengembangan kompetensi guru guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Program-program tersebut mencerminkan empat dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional Bernard M. Bass, yaitu idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, dan individualized consideration. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berbasis supervisi pendidikan Islam berkontribusi signifikan dalam penguatan mutu pendidikan dan pembentukan karakter islami di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to map the perceptions of students of the Islamic Education Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor regarding the relationship between science and religion and analyze the influence of demographic factors on these perceptions. The research used a field research approach with a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 155 6th semester students in the range of 2023-2025, with a simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed based on four typologies of science and religion relations, namely pro-religion conflict, pro-science conflict, independent, and harmonious. The results showed that almost all respondents were at a high level in the pro-religious conflict typology, which indicates the strong position of religion as the main truth reference. In the harmonious typology, about two-thirds of students were in the high category, indicating an integrative tendency between science and religion. Meanwhile, in the independent and pro-science conflict typologies, the majority of students are at a moderate level, indicating a neutral and not yet fully assertive attitude. The findings also showed that the factors of gender, educational background, and school origin did not provide significant differences in perception. This study concludes that PAI students tend to view the relationship between science and religion in a normative-religious manner, with a tendency to be harmonious, and place religion as the main epistemological framework in addressing science. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor mengenai hubungan antara sains dan agama serta menganalisis pengaruh faktor demografis terhadap persepsi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan lapangan (field research)  dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 155 mahasiswa semester VI pada rentang tahun 2023–2025, dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dianalisis berdasarkan empat tipologi relasi sains dan agama, yaitu konflik pro-agama, konflik pro-sains, independen, dan harmonis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh responden berada pada tingkat tinggi dalam tipologi konflik pro-agama, yang menandakan kuatnya posisi agama sebagai rujukan kebenaran utama. Pada tipologi harmonis, sekitar dua pertiga mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan integratif antara sains dan agama. Sementara itu, pada tipologi independen dan konflik pro-sains, mayoritas mahasiswa berada pada tingkat sedang, yang mengindikasikan sikap netral dan belum sepenuhnya tegas. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa faktor jenis kelamin, latar belakang pendidikan, dan asal sekolah tidak memberikan perbedaan persepsi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa PAI cenderung memandang relasi sains dan agama secara normatif-religius, dengan kecenderungan harmonis, serta menempatkan agama sebagai kerangka epistemologis utama dalam menyikapi sains.

Abstract

Zakat, infaq, sedekah, and gifts are learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education phase C of Elementary School with the implementation of 4 hours of study time every week. In the process of teaching and learning activities, the topic of zakat, infaq, sedekah, and gifts is difficult material for students as evidenced by the results of daily test scores. The minimal use of teaching materials is a challenge that must be faced and found a solution. This study aims to analyze the need for development of teaching materials, create teaching materials, determine the level of feasibility and effectiveness of teaching materials on zakat, infaq, sedekah, and gifts. The method used is the ADDIE RnD model. The results showed that 78% of students at SDN Harjamukti 1 and 64% of students at SDN Curug 2 agreed to the development of teaching materials on zakat, infaq, alms, and gifts. The feasibility of teaching materials on zakat, infaq, alms, and gifts in phase C of Elementary School was measured through a validation test. The validation results of material experts 3.8 are presented as 95%, the validation results of media experts 3.8 are presented as 95%, the validation results of language experts 3.7 are presented as 94%. The validation test results of material experts, media experts and language experts of teaching materials are classified as very feasible. The effectiveness of the use of teaching materials for zakat, infaq, alms and gifts at SDN Harjamukti 1 is classified as moderate with an N-Gain result of 0.68, while at SDN Curug 2 it is classified as high with an N-Gain result of 0.71. Abstrak Zakat, infak, sedekah dan hadiah adalah capaian pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam fase C Sekolah Dasar dengan penerapan jam belajar 4 jam per pekan. Dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar, topik zakat, infak sedekah dan hadiah adalah materi yang sulit bagi peserta didik dibuktikan dengan hasil nilai tes ulangan harian. Minimnya pemanfaatan bahan ajar merupakan tantang yang harus dihadapi dan dicarikan solusinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan bahan ajar, membuat bahan ajar, mengetahui tingkat kelayakan dan efektivitas bahan ajar zakat, infak, sedekah dan hadiah. Metode yang digunakan ialah RnD model ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 78% siswa SDN Harjamukti 1 dan 64% siswa SDN Curug 2 setuju adanya pengembangan bahan ajar zakat, infak, sedekah dan hadiah. Kelayakan bahan ajar zakat, infak, sedekah dan hadiah fase C Sekolah Dasar diukur melalui uji validasi. Hasil validasi ahli materi 3.8 dipersentasekan menjadi 95%, hasil validasi ahli media 3.8 dipersentasekan menjadi 95%, hasil validasi ahli bahasa 3.7 dipersentasekan menjadi 94%. Hasil uji validasi ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa bahan ajar tergolong sangat layak. Efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar zakat, infak, sedekah dan hadiah di SDN Harjamukti 1 tergolong sedang dengan hasil N-Gain 0.68, sedangkan di SDN Curug 2 tergolong tinggi dengan hasil N-Gain 0.71.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also morally and spiritually upright. However, the dominance of cognitive-oriented approaches in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) often creates a gap between knowledge acquisition and value internalization in students’ daily lives. This study aims to explore strategies for developing Islamic learning methodologies based on values and character, focusing on curriculum integration, religious habituation, contextual projects, and comprehensive character evaluation. This research employed a qualitative-descriptive method with a library research approach, complemented by field data from observation and documentation. The findings reveal that value-based learning enhances students’ affective engagement, strengthens religious practices, and fosters social responsibility. These results highlight the urgency of adopting holistic, integrative, and adaptive Islamic education methodologies in response to contemporary challenges. The study implies that strong collaboration among educators, schools, and policymakers is necessary to position Islamic education as an effective tool for character building.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the prevalence of juvenile delinquency, which indicates that moral education in schools has not been entirely successful in internalizing moral values in a profound and practical manner. In addition, the moral content in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) textbooks is considered to be unfocused and incomplete. This study aims to develop a supplement book on morals based on the interpretation of the Qur'an as teaching material to support PAI at the Senior High School (SMA) level, as well as to test the feasibility and user response to the developed book. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments consisted of a needs analysis questionnaire, expert validation sheets, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the supplementary book received positive responses from 88.2% of teachers and 96.2% of students, while the expert validation results showed an average score of 3.58 out of 4.00 (92%) with a category of very feasible. This supplementary book consists of three volumes containing morals towards Allah and oneself, morals towards fellow human beings, and despicable morals, supplemented with verses from the Qur'an, interpretations, practical examples, and reflective exercises. Thus, this book is suitable for use as a supplement to PAI learning to strengthen the moral education of high school students. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih maraknya kenakalan remaja yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran akhlak di sekolah belum sepenuhnya berhasil menginternalisasi nilai-nilai moral secara mendalam dan aplikatif. Selain itu, materi akhlak dalam buku Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang beredar dinilai belum fokus dan komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku suplemen akhlak berbasis tafsir Al-Qur’an sebagai bahan ajar pendukung PAI di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA), serta menguji kelayakan dan respons pengguna terhadap buku yang dikembangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket analisis kebutuhan, lembar validasi ahli, serta kuesioner tanggapan guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku suplemen memperoleh respons positif dari guru sebesar 88,2% dan siswa sebesar 96,2%, sedangkan hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan skor rata-rata 3,58 dari 4,00 (92%) dengan kategori sangat layak. Buku suplemen ini terdiri atas tiga jilid yang memuat akhlak terhadap Allah dan diri sendiri, akhlak terhadap sesama manusia, serta akhlak tercela, dilengkapi ayat Al-Qur’an, tafsir, contoh aplikatif, dan latihan reflektif. Dengan demikian, buku ini layak digunakan sebagai penunjang pembelajaran PAI untuk memperkuat pendidikan akhlak siswa SMA.

Abstract

The memorization of the Qur’an (tahfidz) in elementary school students at Phase A tends to rely on visual and auditory approaches, which are less effective for children with a kinesthetic learning style. This study aims to analyze the needs, develop, and test the feasibility of a kinesthetic-based tahfidz module for Phase A students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of three experts (content, language, and design), teachers, and parents. Research instruments included a needs assessment questionnaire, expert validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. The results indicated that the module effectively facilitated active learning through physical movements, visual-interactive media, and structured guidance for both teachers and parents. Expert validation achieved an average feasibility score of 84%, while user response tests scored 83.34% and 96.77%, showing that the module is feasible for use. The module enhanced children’s focus, motivation, and engagement in memorizing the Qur’an, making it a suitable alternative for students with a kinesthetic learning style. Abstrak Pembelajaran tahfidz Al-Qur’an pada anak Sekolah Dasar fase A cenderung menggunakan pendekatan visual dan auditori sehingga kurang sesuai bagi anak dengan gaya belajar kinestetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan, mengembangkan, dan menguji kelayakan modul metode tahfidz berbasis kinestetik bagi siswa fase A. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi tiga ahli (materi, bahasa, desain), guru, dan orang tua. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket kebutuhan, lembar validasi ahli, dan kuesioner respons pengguna. Hasil menunjukkan modul efektif memfasilitasi pembelajaran aktif melalui gerakan fisik, media visual-interaktif, dan panduan bagi guru maupun orang tua. Validasi ahli memperoleh rata-rata kelayakan 84%, sedangkan uji respons pengguna 83,34% dan 96,77%, menunjukkan modul layak digunakan. Modul ini mampu meningkatkan fokus, motivasi, dan keterlibatan anak dalam menghafal Al-Qur’an, menjadi alternatif yang sesuai dengan karakter anak kinestetik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs, design, and test the feasibility of developing an Islamic character development module specifically designed for implementation in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) units. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The results of the research in the needs analysis stage showed that 100% of PAUD teachers stated that the development of an Islamic character development module in Early Childhood Education is very much needed in schools. The results of validation tests by material experts, language experts, and media experts, as well as user assessments, indicate that the developed module is feasible and effective for use as teaching materials in Islamic character development. A module is considered possible if the assessment results meet, namely, with a feasibility percentage ≤ 61%. The feasibility test results for the Islamic Character Development Module in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) achieved a minimum and maximum score of 71.7%. The overall average score was 85.2%. Therefore, it can be said that this module is "very suitable" for use. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan, mendesain dan menguji kelayakan pengembangan modul pembinaan karakter Islami yang dirancang khusus untuk diterapkan pada satuan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penelitian dalam tahap analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa 100% guru PAUD menyatakan pengembangan modul pembinaan karakter Islami pada Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini sangat dibutuhkan di sekolah. Hasil uji validasi dari ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media serta penilaian user menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembinaan karakter Islami. Modul dikatakan layak jika hasil penilaian memenuhi, yaitu dengan persentase kelayakan ≤61%. Hasil perolehan uji kelayakan Modul Pembinaan Karakter Islami Pada Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) 71,7% dengan hasil minimal dan nilai maksimal 97,7%. Rata-rata dari keseluruhan yaitu 85,2%. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa Modul ini “Sangat layak” untuk digunakan.

Abstract

The digital era presents major challenges for students in developing Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), particularly due to digital distractions, an instant gratification culture, and weak self-control. This article aims to conceptually explore how the internalization of the value of patience (ṣabr) within the framework of prophetic education can strengthen students’ SRL abilities. Using a library research method, this study examines literature related to SRL, the Islamic concept of patience, and the prophetic education approach. The results of the study show that prophetic education is the basis that the value of patience has a role in building SRL. The first hadith is related to the value of patience that will bring victory, relevant to goal setting and a gradual learning process. The second hadith, patience is afflicted with difficulties and fatigue will erase sins, relevant to instilling values to always strive to evaluate every learning process even though it is difficult. The third hadith is about the value of patience to control anger, relevant to maintaining internal motivation in learning so that it is not easy to give up when facing difficulties and obstacles. So, students need patience to be able to regulate the difficult learning process. Therefore, strengthening SRL requires not only cognitive strategies but also value-based approaches that address the affective and spiritual dimensions of learners. This article offers a conceptual contribution to the development of an integrative Islamic education model that responds to the challenges of the digital age through a prophetic, value-oriented approach centered on patience. Abstrak Era digital menghadirkan tantangan besar bagi siswa dalam mengembangkan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), terutama akibat distraksi digital, budaya instan, dan lemahnya pengendalian diri. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji secara konseptual bagaimana internalisasi nilai sabar dalam kerangka pendidikan profetik dapat memperkuat kemampuan SRL siswa. Menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan, kajian ini menelaah literatur tentang konsep SRL, sabar dalam perspektif Islam, dan pendekatan pendidikan profetik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan pendidikan profetik menjadi dasar bahwa nilai sabar mempunyai peran untuk membangun SRL. Hadist pertama berkaitan dengan nilai sabar yang akan membawa kemenangan, relevan dengan penetapan tujuan dan proses pembelajaran yang bertahap. Hadist kedua, sabar ditimpa kesulitan dan kelelahan akan menghapus dosa, relevan dengan penanaman nilai untuk selalu berikhtiar mengevaluasi setiap proses belajar meskipun hal tersebut sulit. Hadist ketiga, adalah tentang nilai sabar dapat mengendalikan amarah, relevan dengan menjaga motivasi internal dalam belajar agar tidak mudah putus asa apabila menghadapi kesulitan dan hambatan. Sehingga siswa perlu nilai sabar untuk dapat meregulasi proses belajar yang sulit. Dengan demikian, penguatan SRL perlu dilakukan tidak hanya dengan strategi kognitif, tetapi juga melalui pendekatan nilai yang menyentuh aspek afektif dan spiritual peserta didik. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan model pendidikan Islam yang integratif, yang menjawab tantangan era digital dengan pendekatan profetik berbasis nilai sabar.
