Abstract

Teachers should develop effective assessment instruments to measure student learning outcomes well. Assessment instruments must also improve students' thinking abilities (HOTS). However, teachers need help compiling assessment instruments based on Revised Bloom's KKO Taxonomy, and the assessment instruments prepared are still LOTS-oriented. So far, research has yet to discuss the preparation of HOTS-based science learning outcomes assessment instruments. Therefore, this research aims to develop a HOTS-oriented assessment instrument for science content. This research is development research with a 4-D model. The subjects of this research were 69 students and involved two expert lecturers/science experts. Data collection in this study used the multiple-choice test method. The data analysis techniques in this research are validity, reliability, distinguishability, level of difficulty, and quality of distractors. The results of the research show that the assessment instrument developed is declared valid, has high reliability (reliable), and the level of difficulty is in the very good category; in terms of different power, it is stated that the instrument has good different power, and the quality of the distractor functions well. The test results show that the HOTS-oriented science learning outcomes assessment instrument is suitable for measuring student learning outcomes. This research implies that continuously using the HOTS standard assessment instrument will improve students' thinking.

Abstract

The government's policy on increasing teachers in the aspect of mastery of technology is a requirement that must be met, this is intended so that the learning process can be carried out more effectively and efficiently by utilizing technology. This study aims to analyze and measure the digital literacy skills of elementary school teachers. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 73 elementary school teachers, who were taken using the quota sampling technique. The data collection technique that the researchers used was a questionnaire to determine the digital literacy abilities of elementary school teachers. The data that has been collected was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the literacy skills of elementary school teachers throughout Tanah Datar regency both in the aspects of media literacy, information literacy, and technology literacy for each review (age and years of service) were in the low category, with an average achievement of 2.41 for the view of teacher age and 2.43 for the view of years of service. So it can be concluded that the digital literacy skills of elementary school teachers in Tanah Datar regency are in the low category, both in terms of age and years of service.

Abstract

The lack of parental attention to children's character education makes parents' parenting patterns less than optimal, so children's interest in learning decreases, which causes student learning outcomes not to meet the KKM at school. Therefore, this research aims to partially and simultaneously examine the influence of learning interests and parenting patterns on the economic learning outcomes of class XI students. This type of research is causal research. The population in this research was 107 students, and the sample used was 84 students. Data collection methods using questionnaires and documents were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Hypothesis testing using the t-test and F-test was processed using the SPSS 20.0 for the Windows program. This research shows that interest in learning and parenting patterns partially and simultaneously influence students' social studies learning outcomes, which are expressed at a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. Based on this, it is concluded that formal education must also be balanced with informal education provided by parents through good parenting. This will increase students' interest in learning so that student learning outcomes will improve. This research provides theoretical implications that the solution to increasing student interest in learning and learning outcomes can be done by applying informal education to balance formal education.

Abstract

The process skills approach can improve students' mathematical connection abilities, because it requires students to be active and creative in knowing the relationship between mathematical concepts and everyday life. If students do not have process skills in learning mathematics, they will have difficulty understanding and working on mathematical problems. The purpose of this research is to analyze processing skills differ in grade 4 mathematics learning on multiples and number factors in elementary school. The research method used is a mixed method. This research was conducted in class 4 of elementary school. The sample used in this research was 18 students selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics to determine minimum values, maximum values, mean, median, and mode as well as inferential statistics to test assumptions and test hypotheses. Meanwhile, the process skills carried out in this research can improve students' mathematical connection abilities because students are required to be active and creative so they can understand the relationship between concepts in mathematics and their application in everyday life.

Abstract

Students still need to be fully interested in the learning process. One of the contributing factors is the need for more use of media as a means of the learning process. This research aims to analyze the design and produce valid and practical media. This research is included in the type of development using the ADDIE model. The research subjects were one material expert, one learning media expert, one practitioner/teacher, three students for individual trials, and 9 for small group trials. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show the validity of the media, with the material expert's assessment getting an average score of 4.8, indicating very valid quality, and the learning media expert's assessment getting an average score of 4.82, indicating very valid quality. The practicality analysis carried out by practitioners/teachers obtained an average score of 4.72, which is included in the very valid category. The analysis of individual trials obtained an average score of 4.74, namely the very valid category, and the assessment results of small group trials obtained an average score of 4.72, the very valid category. This means that the developed media is proven valid and practical for learning. This research implies that the novelty of science material in promotional comic video media can hone teachers' abilities in utilizing technological advances to advance education and increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

The impact of digital technology in urban areas has a big influence on suburban communities, from mindset to use of technology. The development of digital technology has caused new upheavals in suburban society; the VUCA era has become a new chapter. Therefore, it is necessary to be equipped with digital literacy. This research aims to describe and analyze research findings regarding the impact of self-directed learning on digital literacy in suburban society. This research uses a qualitative approach with a grounded theory method. Research was conducted on suburban societies, youth organizations, community facilitators, and stakeholders through participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and document studies. Data analysis uses open, axial, and selective coding data analysis. The research results show that the process of self-directed digital literacy learning in suburban communities is manifested in the community's proactive attitude with the presence of digital technology and social media. The construction of knowledge and learning experiences in building digital literacy in suburban communities is realized in the community's appreciation for the presence of digital technology, which is interpreted as providing convenience, new insights, and benefits. Apart from that, it is an informal learning medium, a mass communication tool, a discussion forum, a medium for social interaction in cyberspace, and an exploration of skills and knowledge in social media. This research concludes that self-directed learning is a strategy for suburban society to improve digital literacy skills.

Abstract

Lack of motivation to learn students results in them being less focused on learning and less active during the learning process, which impacts low student learning outcomes, especially in the science and science learning process. A lack of innovative teaching materials mostly causes this or tends to be monotonous. Therefore, supportive teaching materials that are attractive in form and based on appropriate learning models are needed so that students are enthusiastic about learning and can think critically. One medium that is a solution is to use CTL-based E-Worksheet. This research aims to develop a CTL-based E-Worksheet for grade 4 elementary school science content. This research is a development research type with the ADDIE model. The research subject is CTL-based E-Worksheet media on class 4 science content. Data collection uses expert test instruments and trials. The data analysis technique calculates the percentage score for validation assessments and user responses. The research results show that the development of a CTL-based E-Worksheet for grade 4 science content meets very valid criteria from the quality aspect, with a detailed score of 93.775% from media experts, 95% from learning design experts, and 94.6% from learning content experts. The results of the student response test showed an increase from the pretest results, with an average score of 34.8%, to an average score of 84.8 on the students' post-test results. Based on these results, the CTL-based E-Worksheet teaching materials that have been developed are suitable for application in learning. This research implies that it presents CTL-based E-Worksheet learning media with grade 4 science content as a solution to problems in the student learning process.
