Abstract

This study aims to develop Arabic language test questions based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI), and to present them online via the Learning Management System (LMS). This study is part of an effort to develop an Arabic language evaluation instrument that is more communicative, accountable, and aligned with global and national needs. The instrument development process was carried out using the ADDIE model across the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The test was then administered to 212 students. The evaluation revealed a decline in CEFR level achievement from pre-test to post-test, indicating a more accurate measurement of Arabic language proficiency. Interviews with 57 participants confirmed that the test items were perceived as more challenging and that they reflected real Arabic language use. These findings demonstrate the success of integrating the CEFR and SKKNI to produce a more targeted and high-quality Arabic language evaluation instrument.

Abstract

The Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach offers a solution through assessments that adapt learning based on student ability levels. This study aims to examine the implementation of TaRL-based assessments, identify obstacles encountered, and outline solutions used to overcome them. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a deductive thematic analysis approach. The results showed that the TaRL assessment was implemented through two stages: diagnostic assessment (cognitive and non-cognitive) and formative assessment with differentiated worksheets (LKPD). Solutions implemented included group rotation, development of LKPD with varying difficulty levels, simple and contextual diagnostic assessments, and collaboration between teachers. This study concluded that the TaRL approach can be implemented effectively with the support of adaptive and collaborative strategies. The implication is that teachers need to have skills in designing assessments that are appropriate to students' abilities and strengthen collaboration within the teaching team so that this approach can run sustainably.

Abstract

This study explores the English immersion practice at Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah Putri in South Kalimantan through the lens of Communities of Practice (CoP) and Second Language Acquisition (SLA) theories. Drawing on qualitative data from interviews with students and teachers, institutional documents, field observations, and transcribed student conversations, the research uncovers how immersive language practices are organically built and sustained within a unique religious educational community. The findings reveal that English use is maintained not only through formal curriculum and institutional structures but also through peer participation, leadership modeling, and internalized social norms. Students experience language acquisition not merely as academic achievement but as part of their religious identity and social belonging, fostering strong engagement and functional fluency. It portrays how language practice is embraced in the sociolinguistic setting of pesantren as a community of practice. Some limitations, such as fossilized errors, limited authentic input, and affective barriers, are also discussed. In the end, this study offers theoretical and practical implications for the design of immersion in socio-religious educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Management Information Systems (MIS) in improving the quality of educational services and job satisfaction at Madrasah. The research employs a mixed methods approach with a sequential exploratory design, beginning with qualitative methods through observation, interviews, and documentation, followed by quantitative analysis using questionnaires distributed to 285 respondents. Qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, while quantitative data were examined through simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS. The qualitative findings indicate that MIS supports administrative efficiency, provides accurate data, and enhances service quality and job satisfaction across five key aspects: responsiveness, assurance, tangibles, empathy, and reliability. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and user adaptability remain. Quantitatively, statistical tests show that MIS has a significant impact on both service quality and job satisfaction, as indicated by the F-value (2.679) exceeding the F-table value (2.410) with a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05. This study emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive and sustainable MIS implementation strategy to support the educational vision at Madrasah.
