Abstract

Teacher competence is one of the factors that influence the achievement of learning goals and school education. Teachers must have skills that can be used in the classroom, including teacher social skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the social competence of class VIII SMP teachers. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results showed that the competence of grade VIII junior high school teachers was in the "very good" category and in accordance with the components of the teacher's social competence, namely being inclusive, acting objectively and not based on gender, religion, race, physical condition, family background and socioeconomic status. Communicate effectively, empathetically and politely with fellow teachers, educators, parents and the community. Adjustment is not a task in the socio-culturally diverse Republic of Indonesia. The conclusion of this study is that grade VIII junior high school teachers already have very good competence and are in accordance with the Social Competency Indicators of Permendiknas No. 16 of 2007 in terms of academic qualification requirements and teacher competence.

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative with a holistic critical approach, by examining three factors, namely: (1) objective factors are three stories that focus on the types of speech acts found, dominant speech acts, direct/indirect speech strategies, implicature and pragmatic power and the unique features of pakeliran which include elements of working on chess, working on musical instruments, working on sabet, and working on sanggit plays; (2) the genetic factor is conducting in-depth interviews on the reasons for Sukron Suwondo as the unconventional mastermind in playing three stories about the findings of objective factors; (3) the affective factors of public perception, namely the puppeteers, humanists, art experts, lovers of the art of puppetry, regarding the findings on the objective factors of working on Pakekiran Sukron Suwondo, it will be known the positive and negative impacts on Pakekiran. The findings of the research results are as follows. First, the Sukron Suwondo shadow puppet show underwent a change in form, elements of work on, and meaning. Second At this time, Sukron Suwondo appears as a puppeteer who is different from other puppeteers, with all his strengths and weaknesses, even by some people he is considered a puppeteer who is controversial and unconventional. The third of the three speech act stories is the dominant play (TTKUMDSLSMG), namely there are 5,085 speech acts. The four speech strategies that choose to use indirect types of speech acts are used more often than direct speech acts. The implication of compliance with the maxims of the principle of cooperation is needed when speakers and speech partners emphasize the element of cooperation in speech acts, therefore other communication principles are needed, namely the principle of politeness (PSS), the principle of relevance (PR), the principle of humor ( PH), and the principle of harmony (PK).

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has been experienced by the whole world for the last 2 years (2020 and 2021), has changed many things in the order of human life, this is also being felt in the world of ministry or the Church. Where the Church must also improve itself in dealing with the changes that occur, especially in the field of ministry for youth in the church. And this can be achieved if the church has good management in managing existing services. The purpose of this research is to explain the role of church management in developing services for youth in the Cipayung Cilangkap HKBP (Huria Batak Kristen Protestant) church after the C-19 pandemic, where the church must continue to provide the best service for the congregation in this difficult situation. The life of the youth in the church is one of the important things that must be kept in mind in church management. A shocking data was revealed by Zega, in an article which stated that 50% of the current millennial generation have left the church. This is a challenge for the church so that to deal with this problem, the church must prepare the best service for its people and this can only be achieved with good management in the ministry of the church. The results of the research prove that one of the things that triggers the problem above is the poor management of the church and this is also exacerbated by technological developments which also affect the lifestyle of young people in the church. The method used is the method of library research (library research) and descriptive research.

Abstract

This research departs from the problems experienced by second grade elementary school students in learning to read poetry, such as the lack of students' interest in poetry, teachers who are not good at demonstrating interesting poetry readings, the absence of interesting learning media for reading poetry material, and the ability to read poetry at school. students receive less attention from both Indonesian language teachers and teachers of other fields of study. This study aims to improve the process and student learning outcomes in learning to read poetry by applying learning media based on Auto Play Media Study. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) by adopting the PTK design model Kemmis & Taggart, (1981). Data collection techniques in this study, namely interviews, observation, tests and documentation. Based on the research results, there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes, especially in poetry reading ability tests. Where in cycle 1 the average score obtained by students was 69.06 and there was an increase in learning outcomes in cycle 2 with an average score of 76.88. Thus the application of learning media based on Auto Play Media Studio to poetry reading materials in grade II elementary schools can improve student learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how the level of dribbling ability in the soccer game of SMA Negeri 5 Pinrang students. The type of research that will be used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. In this research design, the research subjects were selected by total sampling with a sample of 30 people. While the data analysis used descriptive test, and frequency analysis. Based on the results of the survey of the ability to dribble in soccer games for SMA Negeri 5 Pinrang students, the results of descriptive analysis of the dribbling ability test obtained a minimum score of = 12.80 maximum score = 18. SUM = 16.566 which is the total number of test results obtained by all sample, the mean = 0.552 which is the average value of the overall test results obtained, range = 5.34 which is the middle value of the minimum and maximum values. The results of the analysis of the test frequency obtained good results 10% of 3 respondents and in the Medium category 90% of 27 respondents. So the level of dribbling ability of soccer players of SMA Negeri 5 Pinrang students is in the medium category.

Abstract

This literature review aims to investigate the potential of Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) applications in the development of English vocabulary skills. As mobile devices become increasingly integrated into our daily lives, their potential as tools for language learning has gained significant attention. This article explores the current research and examines the effectiveness of MALL applications in enhancing English vocabulary acquisition. The review highlights the advantages, challenges, and implications of using MALL applications and offers recommendations for educators, researchers, and developers to optimize the utilization of these applications for improving English vocabulary skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and identify the school culture that develops in religious-based schools and to analyze the social interpretations of students in these schools regarding sexual violence. The research utilizes a systematic literature review approach, involving an analysis of literature on sexual violence that occurs in formal educational institutions. Sexual violence that occurs in religious-based school environments is caused by cultural factors that influence the occurrence of sexual violence within the context of learning. One significant cultural factor is the values embraced in the school culture, including the concept of student obedience to teachers. This concept provides space for teachers to engage in sexual violence, as it is perceived that students should submit and obey the authority of teachers without questioning or objection. This research will identify and analyze the social interpretations of students in religious-based schools regarding sexual violence. This will contribute to a better understanding of students' perspectives and experiences in the context of sexual violence in religious-based school environments. Through this understanding, more effective efforts can be developed to prevent and address sexual violence in schools, including changes in school culture and the adoption of inclusive and safe learning approaches for all students. The results of this research are expected to provide valuable insights for relevant parties, including schools, educators, and policymakers, to address the issue of sexual violence in religious-based school environments. By identifying cultural factors that contribute to sexual violence and understanding students' social interpretations, appropriate preventive measures and interventions can be designed and implemented. The ultimate goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and free-from-sexual-violence educational environment in religious-based schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning independence of grade V students of SD Negeri 11 Muara Telang in thematic learning. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 11 Muara Telang in grade V of the 2022/2023 school year. The approach in this study is a qualitative approach, with a descriptive method, which is supported by field assessments and references related to the theme discussed. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data is analyzed by means of reduction, display and generalization or inference. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning independence of students at SD Negeri 11 Muara Telang has developed well. Students have high independence. Indicators of learning independence include confidence, active in learning, discipline in learning and responsibility in learning. Students who have high learning independence will try to complete tasks with their own abilities.

Abstract

Based on field observations of the naturalist intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at PKS Housing PT. BPLP Enok District, Indragiri Hilir Regency still needs to be developed and optimized. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Augmented Reality Scan Cards on the naturalist intelligence of children aged 5-6 years. The study used an experimental method with a one group pre-test post-test design with a sample size of 15 children. The data collection technique used in this study was using observation sheets of naturalist intelligence in children. The data analysis technique used the t-test using the SPSS ver 20 program. From the results of data analysis, the tcount was 12.773 greater than ttable = 2.145 with sig 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there are significant differences in naturalist intelligence in children before and after using Augmented Reality Scan Cards. Based on the results of hypothesis testing obtained there is an effect of Augmented Reality Scan Cards on the naturalist intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at PKS Housing PT. BPLP Enok District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, amounted to 57.82%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the character of class III A students at SDN 262 Panyileukan that arise because of the awareness that is formed from the results of applying the daily reflective journal method at school. The daily reflection journal method is not limited to just one subject, but covers the entire teaching and learning process. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and documentation. The data obtained comes from primary data sources from teachers and students as well as secondary data sources from articles and documentation of these activities. Based on the data taken, it shows that there is a big influence on changes in the character of students at SDN 262 Panyileukan after applying the daily reflection journal method. Seeing the character problems and the many children who have unstable emotions, the teacher took the initiative to make different reflection activities, namely through a daily journal. This activity is carried out by students by writing down the positive and negative activities they have done while at school. Daily reflection journal activities as the application of character to students are carried out unconsciously and without coercion or rules from anyone. From this explanation it can be seen that the reflection method is effectively used.
