Abstract

This research aims to describe a case study of organisational behaviour in MAN Kota Sawahlunto with a focus on the principal's innovation in preparing students to continue their education to public universities. The type of research used is explorative with a qualitative approach. Descriptive analytic method is used to describe and answer the problem of existing phenomena, both in single variables and correlation or comparison of various variables. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model technique consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study, there are several innovations implemented by the head of MAN Sawahlunto, which include building a conducive academic environment, improving the quality of teaching, career guidance, and counselling. These innovations proved to be effective in helping students achieve their goal of continuing their education to public universities. In addition, collaboration with public universities and regular monitoring of student progress are also integral parts of the holistic approach

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential so that they have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble morals, and the skills needed by themselves, society, the nation and the state. The aim of this research is whether the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) learning strategy can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The research method used was classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out at SMA Negeri 5 Medan involving 36 class XI-3 students as research subjects. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Teaching at the Right Level approach can improve students' problem solving abilities in mathematics with an increase in the percentage in Cycle I 47% and Cycle II 81%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam konteks kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur, dengan menganalisis konsep Kepemimpinan transformasional, yang mencakup pengaruh ideal, motivasi inspiratif, stimulasi intelektual, dan pertimbangan individual, berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan tugas manajerial, supervisi akademik, dan kewirausahaan di sekolah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah yang menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih inovatif, mendukung, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan kinerja. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan kapabilitas kepala sekolah dalam memahami penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the application of the humanistic approach to independent curriculum development:. In this article, the research method analysis adopts a combined method between Literature Review and qualitative methods from various available sources. This type of method will combine two methods of data collection, namely apart from collecting data from various previous studies, it will also collect data involving collecting primary data through observation and interviews with the principal and curriculum development team at SMAN 1 Sawahlunto. Based on the results of research carried out, the application of a humanistic approach to independent curriculum development at SMAN 1 Sawahlunto is guided by the characteristics of a humanistic approach to curriculum development, namely 1) objectives and functions. where the curriculum developed has the aim and function of being a guide for organizing subject matter, determining the direction and progress of education by considering the individual, social and economic aspects of school curriculum users. 2) The curriculum development method emphasizes the importance of good emotional relationships between educators and students as the main foundation in the learning process. 3) In developing the curriculum organization at SMAN 1 Sawahlunto, it emphasizes the integrity of students, creating a comprehensive learning experience design, namely by designing learning activities that cover the intellectual, emotional and action aspects of students as well as designing a relevant experience-based curriculum that is linked to the concept of life. daily.

Abstract

The educational process uses methods according to the material, methods are tools or techniques that are often used by a teacher in delivering a lesson. With the method, educators will be more creative and in presenting a lesson material, students' interest in learning will be greater by choosing the right learning method, one of which is by implementing this demonstration method and greatly supports teaching and learning activities in increasing students' interest in learning. Regarding the above, the focus of the research and the purpose of this study is to describe the application of the demonstration method in increasing students' interest in learning in the subject of fiqh. This research was conducted at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung Lampung Selatan in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This type of research is field research with a qualitative research model. The demonstration method is very appropriate and very effective for learning activities. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that from the results of the application of the Demonstration method that has been implemented and practiced and has been running well, both from the activities of students, teachers and from the learning outcomes obtained by students have increased. Learning with the application of the Demonstration Method can be used as a solution to overcome student difficulties. The involvement of students in learning activities shows that the level of student participation in learning is very good. This shows that teachers are able to arouse activeness in the student learning process in the subject of fiqh. Factors that influence efforts to improve fiqh learning outcomes through demonstration methods are influenced by two factors, namely, supporting and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors in students' religious behavior, namely teachers have an important role in the learning process. A teacher, in addition to implementing school operational standards, is also able to improve the skills of the material that must be taught so that students are able to properly digest the lessons taught, in addition to the existence of professional education personnel, there are also adequate facilities and infrastructure that are relatively supportive in various activities. While the inhibiting factor is that this method is less effective if implemented in one lesson hour, because it takes a lot of time to practice it. And some students are less focused when the learning process takes place, and there are still students who chat with their friends, making the classroom atmosphere not conducive

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) Implementation of the values ​​in the Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim Book in the Formation of the Character of Students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, Sidoharjo, Jati Agung, South Lampung. (2) What are the obstacles faced and solutions in the implementation of the values ​​in the Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim Book in the Formation of the Character of Students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, Sidoharjo, Jati Agung, South Lampung. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The location of the research is at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, Sidoharjo, Jati Agung, South Lampung as a source of data to obtain a portrait of the values ​​of the Ta'lim Muta'allim Book. The data was obtained using observation, interview and documentation methods. All data were analyzed interactively and continuously, including data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The implementation of the values ​​of the Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim book at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School in Sidoharjo Jati Agung, South Lampung is carried out with a system of reading the book, interpreting the gandul, memorizing the nadhoman from the book. Especially the Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim moral book is related to the morals of students, so from this learning students are required to read and understand after that they are also required to apply examples of good attitudes contained in the Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim book. The relationship between character formation is from the material taught regarding several morals in the material, students are required to behave politely after there is direction related to the material that has been taught or has not been delivered, so that a noble soul is embedded. (2) The obstacles faced and solutions in implementing the values ​​of the Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim book in the formation of the character of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, Sidoharjo, Jati Agung, South Lampung, namely that there are still many students who have not been able to master Javanese. The solution to the obstacles faced is that the Ustadz in his delivery uses two languages, namely using Javanese and then explained with information using Indonesian, in order to continue to exist and maintain the knowledge of the Salaf

Abstract

This research is motivated by: Most of the students already understand about tolerance, but there are still many students who do not know the character of tolerance and many students who already know how to respect but there are still many students who do not understand the attitude of mutual respect between students because they still often prioritize themselves. This study aims to analyze: (1) the strategy for developing the character of tolerance of female students of the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School?. (2) The impact of developing tolerance values ​​on students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School?. After the data is collected, the data will be tested for validity using the data triangulation technique, in this case the author uses the source triangulation technique, after that the data analysis technique will be carried out using 3 stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research is a Qualitative Research, the type of research is descriptive qualitative with research subjects of 3 Ustadzah and 3 female students of the Iqro' class at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung Islamic Boarding School. Data collection techniques in this study were through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: the strategy for developing the tolerance character of female students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School is implemented with the following system: Habituation The development of tolerance values ​​at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School is implemented through direct practice with students in the daily life of the Islamic boarding school, namely queuing in the bathroom when taking ablution, bathing, washing, and defecating, queuing when taking food, and in order to form an attitude of tolerance between students, the management will also punish students who take what is not their right or are often called ghosob. Learning is carried out during other learning activities such as during routine sermons on Sunday nights and religious lectures after each Dhuhur and Asr prayers.

Abstract

The character of piety is important to be developed in school-age adolescents through education, habituation, and role models in their living environment, especially in schools, Islamic boarding schools. This study was conducted at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Sidoharjo Jati Agung South Lampung Islamic Boarding School which aims to determine the implementation of the habituation of students in carrying out the sunnah routine prayers to build piety and to determine what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the habituation of sunnah routine prayers. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with descriptive design, data collection procedures used are observation, interviews and documentation, for checking and checking the validity of data using social situation update procedures, accuracy and perseverance in research and triangulation, while data analysis techniques through four stages, namely: data collection data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions The results of the study indicate that the habit of performing Sunnah prayers is the most important support in building the character of piety of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Sidoharjo Jati Agung South Lampung Islamic Boarding School, A habit of performing Sunnah prayers has been embedded in each individual student because of the existence of Islamic boarding school regulations that require all students to carry out the Sunnah prayers and are assisted by guidance, monitoring and motivation given by the ustad / ustadzah. The supporting factors for the habit of performing Sunnah prayers are full support from the management / ustadzah, good influence from the surrounding environment, good adjustments. The inhibiting factors for the habit of praying sunnah rawatib are the lack of self-awareness of the female queuing to perform sunnah rawatib prayers, the lack of awareness of the administrators to control.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts of administrators in improving the spiritual intelligence of students through the tradition of reading the Yasin letter before dawn at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, the formulation of the problem in this thesis is, (1) the efforts of administrators in improving the spiritual intelligence of students through the tradition of reading the Yasin letter before dawn at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School (2) Supporting and inhibiting factors of administrators' efforts in improving the spiritual intelligence of students through the tradition of reading the Yasin letter before dawn at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School. This study is a field research, using a qualitative approach in order to understand the events that occur in the subject. Then this study uses a descriptive method with a function as a real depiction in the field. While the data collection technique is by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. The field results show that the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School chooses to read the Yasin letter because it has many benefits, the letter is not too long and is carried out before the dawn prayer so that it does not interfere with other activities. In addition, the time available is also not much, the little time is filled with surahs that have virtues, which are no less extraordinary than surah al-Kahfi which is able to improve the quality of life of students in Islamic boarding schools, given peace of mind, kept away from bad morals and Allah makes it easy for all problems in the Islamic boarding school of Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Self-confidence is possessed by everyone, including students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Self-confidence is very much needed by students in learning so that it can motivate students to achieve achievements in learning. However, not all students have sufficient self-confidence. Feelings of inferiority, shame, fear and others can be obstacles for students in interacting both in the learning process at school and in the community. The results of initial observations at MIN 6 South Lampung revealed that in the learning process there were still students who were classified as having low self-confidence. The problems in this study are a). how is the role of class teachers in fostering students' self-confidence at MIN 6 South Lampung and b). what obstacles do teachers face in carrying out their roles. This type of research, namely field research/descriptive qualitative, is research that is conducted directly in the field using a case study research design. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. While the data validity technique is the extension of researcher participation and triangulation. The results of this study are: First, the role of class teachers in fostering students' self-confidence at MIN 6 South Lampung, namely: a) Teachers as motivators by providing motivation to students; b) Teachers as inspirators by providing appreciation to students; c) Teachers as mentors by inviting students to actively communicate; d) Teachers as organizers by giving special responsibilities to students who have low self-confidence; and e) Teachers as class managers by arranging student seating; Second, the obstacles faced by class teachers in carrying out their role to foster students' self-confidence at MIN 6 South Lampung include some subject teachers who are less involved in developing students' self-confidence, some parents of students who are less supportive of the actions taken by class teachers to develop students' self-confidence, and some students who are difficult to communicate with and too withdrawn so that teachers have difficulty taking action that is appropriate to the conditions of the students concern
