Abstract

This study aims to identify the perceptions of undergraduate students majoring in Beauty Education towards the profession of vocational school (SMK) beauty teachers, examined from the cognitive, affective, and conative aspects of perception. This study employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample consists of 55 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire measured on a Likert scale. The results show that the majority of students have a relatively positive perception of the profession of SMK beauty teachers. In the cognitive aspect, students demonstrate a strong understanding of the professional and social competencies of teachers. However, the affective aspect is categorized as low, reflecting less positive attitudes towards teachers' personal competencies and the status and recognition of the profession. The conative aspect shows a moderately positive perception, where students express an interest in pursuing a career as SMK beauty teachers but also consider other career opportunities in the beauty industry. This study suggests increasing awareness regarding the career prospects of SMK beauty teachers to attract more student interest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education. Before the implementation of the PBL model, the average student score was 55, with 16.6% of students achieving scores above the KKM (70). In cycle I, the average score increased to 60, with 33% of students achieving scores above the KKM. The results of observations of student and teacher activities showed sufficient scores, namely 70 and 66, respectively. In cycle II, the average score reached 65, with 50% of students getting scores above 70. Observations of student and teacher activities showed an increase to 76 and 80, respectively. In cycle III, the average student score increased significantly to 84, with 83% of students achieving scores above the KKM. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model can significantly improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Education is a fundamental aspect in character building and the progress of a nation. In Indonesia, discourse on education cannot be separated from the thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara, who is known as the Father of National Education. One of his greatest contributions is the Among System, an educational approach that emphasizes freedom, independence, and humanistic guidance. Ki Hajar Dewantara's Among System was born as a response to the colonial education system that tended to ignore the cultural values ​​and character of the Indonesian nation. This Among System, by Ki Hajar Dewantara, is associated with character education carried out with the principles of asih, asah, and asuh. Furthermore, this system is related to the motto Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodho, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, Tut Wuri Handayani. On the other hand, Islamic education has become an integral part of the Indonesian national education system. In this context, it is interesting to examine how Ki Hajar Dewantara's Among System can synergize with the principles of Islamic education. The relevance between the Among System and Islamic education is important to study considering that both have similar goals, namely to form humans who are noble, independent, and useful to society. Integration of local wisdom values, as contained in the Among System, with Islamic education can produce a more contextual and effective education model in shaping students' characters. Based on this background, this paper will examine the Ki Hajar Dewantara Among System and its relevance to Islamic education. This study is expected to contribute to the development of an integrative education system, which combines local wisdom, Islamic values, and the demands of modern education in Indonesia.

With practical and easy-to-consume packaging, this jelly is ideal for sale in school environments and local markets, making it a healthier choice compared to processed snacks. This innovation aims to support healthy eating habits in schools and raise awareness among the community about the importance of good nutritional intake.

Abstract

This article discusses the influence of political leadership style on employee performance and discipline in state-owned companies in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with secondary data analysis. The results show that fair and thoughtful political leadership contributes positively to employee discipline, while overly dominant leadership can decrease motivation and discipline. Factors such as organizational culture, education level, and employee involvement in decision-making also influence this relationship. Transparent and fair politics can increase discipline, while poorly managed politics can lead to dissatisfaction. The article also emphasizes the importance of further research to understand the relationship between political leadership and employee discipline and develop strategies to reduce the negative impact on employee productivity and well-being

Abstract

The fashion industry is one of the major contributors to textile waste and environmental pollution, with millions of tons of fabric wasted every year. This research aims to explore the innovative use of patchwork as an eco-friendly material in sustainable fashion products. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) among the community and fashion industry players on Jl. William Iskandar Ps. V, Kenangan Baru, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency. The results showed that the community began to show interest in environmentally friendly fashion products, especially the younger generation who understand the importance of sustainability. In addition, the development of prototype products such as patchwork-based bags, clothing and accessories showed positive results in terms of comfort and attractiveness. However, the challenge of changing people's perception of patchwork and educating them on its benefits still needs to be overcome. Thus, utilizing patchwork as a raw material in the fashion industry can not only reduce textile waste, but also encourage public awareness about sustainability in fashion.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of Pawtners, an online pet adoption platform focused on animal welfare. The research reviews user reception of the application, emphasizing the importance of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design in promoting pet adoption. Data were collected through a survey involving 46 respondents, most of whom were students. The results show that the majority of respondents prefer adopting pets over purchasing, with cats and dogs being the most favored. Respondents also rated Pawtners' UI/UX as attractive and user-friendly. These findings suggest that the application has great potential in supporting a more structured and responsible pet adoption process.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a hair mask hair care E-Module as a systematic and interactive learning media for students of the Cosmetology Education Study Program. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validity test conducted by material and media experts showed significant improvement in the aspects of systematics, function, and product design. This E-Module provides comprehensive information on hair care techniques and can be accessed through mobile devices and computers, thus increasing students' motivation to learn. The total score obtained from the material expert validity test was 75% and the score from the media expert was 95% so that it could be categorized as a “Feasible” product. Thus, this research can be a reference in curriculum development and learning methods in the Cosmetology Education Study Program.

Abstract

The speaking ability of the majority of grade VII students at MTsN 3 Padang Pariaman are still seen in the teaching and learning process in the classroom, students tend to be passive, hesitant, nervous, embarrassed and less active in expressing their thoughts through good communication in otherwise lack of speaking skills. Therefore, teachers must efforts to develop their creativity in teaching, one of which is choosing the right and optimal learning method to achieve good learning objectives, namely using the Role Playing learning method. This study aims to determine the effect of the role playing method on improving students' speaking skills in English subjects. This research was done at MTsN 3 Padang Pariaman in the odd semester of 2024/2025. The research method uses a quantitative approach in the shape of an experiment of the CAR (classroom Action Research) type. The population is all students of class VII.1 with consist of 32 students as a sample for the study. The techniques of data collection used are observation, interview, test and documentation methods. The technique of data analysis used is descriptive analysis which is using the dependent "t" test statistical formula with the Paired Sample t test formula to test the hypothesis by the help of the SPSS application. The results of this study are that learning with the Role Playing method has a positive affect on the speaking skills of students in English subjects in grade VII in elementary schools. The existence of this influence is supported by the data on the average or mean value in the pre-test is 70,67. Then in the post-test it is found that the average or mean value is 86,67. Other results show an influence on the proved of the hypothesis test or paired sample test which shows a significance value of 0.22 less than 0.50. Shows a difference in improving

Abstract

The tennis serve is a critical aspect of gameplay, requiring both technical skill and physical fitness. This study investigates the impact of three physical components arm power, hand-eye coordination, and leg muscle strength on the performance of tennis serves. Using a correlational research design, data were collected from 20 beginner tennis players aged 16–18 years in Makassar Arm power was measured through a medicine ball throw test, hand-eye coordination via the hand wall toss test, and leg muscle strength using a leg dynamometer. The Hewitt Tennis Achievement Test was employed to evaluate serve accuracy and consistency. The findings reveal that all three physical components significantly influence service performance (p < 0.05). Arm power enhances ball speed, hand-eye coordination improves serve accuracy, and leg muscle strength supports stability and energy transfer during the serve motion. Combined, these factors explain a significant proportion of variance in service effectiveness. This study emphasizes the need for comprehensive training programs focusing on these physical attributes to improve serve performance among beginner tennis players. These results provide actionable insights for coaches and athletes aiming to optimize serve efficiency, highlighting the interplay between strength, coordination, and stability as foundational elements of successful tennis serve.
