Abstract

Many Indonesian EFL learners show anxiety when speaking English. Therefore, the researcher interests to conduct this research to find out the level of English-speaking anxiety performance. This research aims to investigate speaking anxiety of English Community students at SMK Assa’adah Gresik. Specifically, the researcher attempts to identify what are the factors that may contribute to anxiety in public speaking performance environment based on students' perspective and to investigate the level of students’ anxiety in public speaking performance. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. The data are gathered through observation checklist, questionnaire, and interview. The most commonly used tool for assessing FLA is the FLCAS (Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale) developed by Horwitz et al. (1986). A modified version of FLCAS was used in this study. The original version of FLCAS is a point scale instrument ranged from (strongly disagree to strongly agree) measuring students language anxiety.

Abstract

This study aims to describe perception in interpersonal communication using a qualitative approach. The data sources used in this study are literature study sources that include references from journals, books and other articles. Perception in interpersonal communication is a complex process that involves how individuals understand, interpret, and give meaning to information received from their social environment. Perception plays an important role in shaping how a person interacts, responds, and builds relationships with others. In the context of interpersonal communication, perception is influenced by various factors, such as personal experience, cultural values, emotions, and stereotypes, all of which can affect the interpretation of messages. The perception process involves the stages of selecting, organizing, and interpreting information, which can result in misperceptions if not accompanied by deep understanding or clear communication. Thus, a proper understanding of perception can help improve the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, encourage empathy, and minimize the potential for conflict in social interactions.

Abstract

Many futsal athletes still have difficulty in applying basic techniques during matches, especially passing techniques. In fact, passing is a fundamental skill that must be mastered in futsal. Considering that the Venus FC Semarang Club will soon compete in the AFP U19 Championship Central Java match, a more innovative training method is needed. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of small-sided games and passing support training in improving the passing skills of Venus FC Semarang Club athletes. This study used an experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest design model. The sample used was 16 athletes. Data analysis was carried out using normality and homogeneity tests to meet data requirements, and the t-test was used to test the hypothesis. The results of the t-test showed that small-sided games training had a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.01 <0.05, while passing support training had a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05. In addition, the difference test results showed that small-sided games training improved passing skills by 43.18%, while passing support training improved passing skills by 21.8%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bond age, company growth on the rating of financial sector bonds listed on the IDX in 2020-2022 using a quantitative research approach. which aims to test theories, build facts, show relationships between variables, provide statistical descriptions, estimate and predict the results. This research will be conducted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study is to test the effect of bond age and company growth variables on bond rating variables, while to analyze the effect of each variable using SPSS software. Based on the results of the study, in the financial sector, bond age has a negative effect on bond ratings listed on the IDX. This is obtained from the results of the regression analysis, namely a significance value of <0.05 (0.249> 0.05) and a calculated t value of less than 2.022 (1.172 <2.039). In the financial sector, bond age has a negative effect on bond ratings listed on the IDX, on the company growth variable (X2), a Sig value of 0.00 and a calculated t value of -13.759 are obtained. because the Sig value is less than 0.05 (0.00 > 0.05) and the calculated t value is greater than 2.022 (-13.759 < 2.022).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of physical fitness of male and female students of SD Negeri 1 Karangpoh. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a presentation of the percentage of the level of physical fitness which will later be expressed is described in terms of the physical condition (VO2Max) of students of SD Negeri 1 Karangpoh. The sampling technique used total sampling, with 40 students participating. The instrument used in this study was the bleep test. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis in the implementation of the sports measurement test that measured the VO2Max level of students of SD Negeri 1 Karangpoh. From the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that the results of the bleep test indicate that the level of endurance possessed by students as a whole still has a rating that is included in the category of less. can be seen from the results obtained having the lowest result of 20.8 and the highest value in this test is 44.5. From these findings, it is necessary to carry out follow-up to improve students' physical fitness, which is expected to improve physical fitness can encourage students to be even better in the learning process.

Abstract

This article is a comparative study of the social science education curriculum in Ukraine and its implications for the social studies curriculum in Indonesia. Ukraine, which experienced a major transformation in its education system after its independence from the Soviet Union, has adopted a competency-based approach that focuses on the development of critical thinking skills, civic values, and global awareness. This curriculum is designed to form patriotic citizens who are able to adapt to local and global dynamics, with the integration of European educational standards. On the other hand, social studies education in Indonesia emphasizes more on strengthening the values ​​of Pancasila, national insight, and cultural diversity. This article uses a literature study method to analyze the relevance and possibility of adopting elements of the Ukrainian curriculum into social studies education in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that the Ukrainian competency-based approach can enrich the Indonesian social studies curriculum, especially in the development of analytical skills, understanding of democracy, and adaptation to global challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of performance management on employee satisfaction and retention at Yayasan Perguruan Kampus Padangsidimpuan in the context of the digital era. The study used a quantitative method with a survey approach to 60 employees. Data were analyzed using multiple regression to test the direct effect and the Sobel test to identify the mediating role of employee satisfaction. The results showed that performance management has a positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction (β = 0.532; p = 0.000) and employee retention (β = 0.521; p = 0.000). In addition, employee satisfaction was found to act as a significant mediator in the relationship between performance management and employee retention (z = 3.52; p = 0.000). This study also highlights the importance of implementing a transparent, fair, and responsive technology-based performance management system in improving employee welfare and loyalty. The results of this study provide practical implications for organizations, especially in developing a performance management system that focuses not only on work results, but also on employee development. In addition, this study recommends the need for continuous evaluation of the performance management system in the organization to improve retention and minimize employee turnover.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student assessments of the jobsheet learning media for Electrical Power Protection Practice based on Ecodial software. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The jobsheet is designed to enhance students' understanding and skills in low-voltage distribution network protection. Data were obtained through questionnaires measuring the feasibility, ease of use, and benefits of the learning media. The results indicate highly positive evaluations, with an average score of 87% for feasibility, 85% for ease of use, and 90% for benefits. The jobsheet based on Ecodial software has proven effective in helping students comprehend technical concepts, increasing motivation for independent learning, and developing analytical skills. Based on these findings, this media is deemed effective in supporting Electrical Power Protection Practice learning and can serve as a reference for developing technology-based instructional media in the field of electrical engineering.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 004 Sungai Besar. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observations, learning outcome tests, and field notes, and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model successfully improved students' learning outcomes, with the average student score increasing from 65.4 in the first cycle to 80.2 in the second cycle. This improvement shows that PBL can enhance students' understanding of the subject matter as well as their critical and creative thinking skills. Furthermore, observations of group dynamics revealed improvements in collaboration and communication among students. However, challenges related to teacher training and limited learning resources still need to be addressed. This study suggests that the PBL model should be continued and expanded in its application at the elementary school level to enhance the quality of education.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe: 1). To determine the influence of the principal's leadership on the quality of learning at SDN Mesuji Makmur District. 2). To determine the influence of the school committee on the quality of learning at SDN Mesuji Makmur District. 3). To determine the influence of the leadership of the school principal and school committee together on the quality of learning at SDN Mesuji Makmur District. The type of this research is quantitative. The sample in this research was conducted at 5 elementary schools in Mesuji Makmur sub-district with a total of 70 teachers. The techniques used in this research were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, linearity tests, multicollinearity tests, and hypothesis tests using simple regression tests, multiple regression tests using the SPSS version 26 application. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence on the principal's leadership variables and the role of the school committee together. -the same for the quality of learning at SDN Mesuji Makmur District.
