Abstract

This research aims to find out what are the new roles that Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid does in increasing consumer confidence in the services provided by Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. This research uses a qualitative approach with this type of case study research. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews supported by observations of some of the activities in the study subjects. The results of this study found that the role of quality improvement carried out by Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid began with monitoring changes through change management, identification of improvement formulations, fulfillment of completeness of infrastructure improvement facilities, optimization of cooperation performance between teams, in-service training, environmental analysis in evaluation, identification of goals and targets, gap analysis, input, and output identification, monitoring improvements. So it can be concluded that the new role in increasing consumer confidence in Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid shows success in attracting its consumers to continue using the services provided by Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid.

Abstract

This study aims to determine parents' motivation in sending their children to Islamic boarding schools, the constraints of parents in sending their children to Islamic boarding schools, and the efforts of parents to send their children to Islamic boarding schools. This type of research is classified into field research (field research). Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Technical analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative with inductive and deductive thinking methods. The findings show that parents' motivation to send their children to the Nurul Jadid Islamic boarding school is that in addition to getting general lessons, Islamic boarding schools are the leading choice in educating their students. Whether it's about religious knowledge, such as understanding the classical Islamic books, the Koran, and practical worship and calligraphy, Islamic boarding schools are also places to develop children's character to be better, ethical, and civilized. So the researchers patterned motivation into intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Parents' Obstacles in sending their children to Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School include children not following parental rules, economic factors, community environmental factors, and parental education factors. About the efforts made by parents in sending their children to Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, namely, providing advice to children, seeking additional income, and supervising the association of children.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's knowledge of school or madrasa accreditation implementation. The research method that the author uses in this research is descriptive quantitative using documentation, interviews, and observations. The location of this research is in SD/MI in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The study results obtained that teachers' knowledge of school or madrasah accreditation was still minimal, namely around 42% of teachers had moderate knowledge of accreditation, 8% of teachers who had insufficient knowledge of accreditation, 50% of teachers who had high category knowledge.

Abstract

Smartphone use has exploded in recent decades. It has become more noticeable in education, inextricably linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly adolescent students. This study aimed to estimate the Madrasah Tsanawiyah students’ smartphone use behavior, application type usage, and its relationship with gender and parental factors. This was a cross-sectional study conducted using online survey research. The current study was carried out at Maluku Tengah's Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 (MTSN 2). The sample consisted of 130 students from all grades. This study demonstrated that participants use their smartphones quite frequently. More than half of the participants (54.6%) used their smartphone ≥20 hours per week, outside of regular online learning hours. The participant risks factors of smartphone overuse were social media apps used for females (OR=3.93) and online game apps for males (OR=6.71). Based on parental characteristics, fathers’ age ≥45 years and non-housewife mothers were a risk factor for smartphone overuse in students (OR=2.34 and OR=9.22).

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of the forms of deviant behavior of students in modern Islamic boarding schools, the efforts made in overcoming the deviant behavior of students in modern Islamic boarding schools, and to determine the factors supporting and inhibiting the implementation of guidance and counseling in overcoming abnormal behavior of students. The location of this research is in Daar Al-Uluum Islamic Boarding School Kisaran, Asahan. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research informants consisted of boarding school administrators, male students, and female students. The results of this study indicate that: The general forms of deviant behavior carried out by students at the Islamic boarding school of Daar Al-Uluum Kisaran, Asahan is truancy, smoking, fighting. Counseling efforts and services in overcoming students' deviant behavior at Pondok Pesantren Daar Al-Uluum Kisaran, Asahan take preventive, repressive, and curative actions. The factors causing students' bad behavior at Pondok Pesantren Daar Al-Uluum Kisaran, Asahan are friends, family factors, and self-control.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the principal's leadership on teacher performance. The principal's leadership style is a factor that is assumed to affect teacher performance. The application of the principal's leadership style can be assumed to influence teachers' good and bad performance. The location of this research is Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Mataram. The results of this study stated that 45, 31% of principals displayed a leadership style in the outstanding category, 52,60% of principals were judged to show a good leadership style, 1,56% of principals said a leadership style in the moderate category, and 0,52 displayed a leadership style. Less category. The principal's leadership style plays a vital role in building a harmonious relationship between the principal and the teacher, improving teacher performance. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the principal's leadership style can be used as a predictor variable and can determine and influence the performance of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Mataram teachers.

Abstract

Curriculum changes from the education unit level curriculum (KTSP) to the 2013 curriculum have an impact on the implementation of learning. The 2013 curriculum applies a scientific learning model with the design of observing, asking, trying, reasoning, and communicating. An important thing for teachers to be able to implement scientific learning competently. This study aims to analyze the competence of elementary school teachers regarding scientific learning in the 2013 curriculum and find out the teacher's obstacles in implementing scientific learning in the 2013 curriculum. The research uses a case study method with the subject of teacher research in several elementary schools in Kendal Regency. Data obtained through interviews. In analyzing the data, the researcher followed the way of Miles and Huberman which consisted of four activity lines, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The results of the study indicate that conceptually, teachers understand scientific learning and its implementation well and competently, but there are some other teachers who are still in the process of adjusting to implementing scientific learning. This study also revealed that there were deficiencies in scientific learning in the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the management of character education through the development of full-day school management. This article is a literature review by analyzing the content of relevant books and journals. The results of the discussion of this article are that strengthening management in the implementation of full-day school is able to reduce student delinquency because students are guided and supervised in extracurricular activities or intracurricular activities. Families do not need to worry about the full-day school model because students are under supervision in accordance with the applicable strategic management. Good management can strengthen children's character when supported by exemplary methods. The application of full-day school is an alternative solution for the educational revolution to the problems that occur in the era of globalization. In the process of implementing full-day school, it can also strengthen the management of character education in schools.

Abstract

Abstract This study discusses the correlation between Islamic education derived from the Qur'an, Sunnah and Ijma regarding efforts to maintain public health. The research method used is qualitative research with the type of field research and phenomenological approach. This study provides evidence that there is a positive relationship between Islamic education and public health patterns, especially in Islamic values ​​and public health. Especially now that the whole world is experiencing an outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and of course this is a big problem for all countries in the world, including our country Indonesia. The spread of COVID-19 is so fast and deadly. Of course, the contribution of the government and all communities is needed to be able to understand about the transmission of the covid-19 outbreak. Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning model is motivated by the low absorption capacity of students in understanding learning; it can be seen from student learning outcomes that are still not optimal, student interest is lacking in motivation, and the learning process is still using teacher-centered. This study aims to improve student learning processes in PAI subjects by compiling textbooks carried out by teachers. The method used is the development method (R and D) at SMP Negeri 1 Banyuputih, . This study shows a significant difference from the previous teaching and learning process seen after the implementation of textbook products with the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. The ability of students to absorb learning is more effective, and students are more active in participating in teaching and learning activities. Students get convenience in understanding the learning material. This learning system can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes, especially in growing students' insight, skills, and attitudes, both in mastering theoretical and pragmatic learning materials.
